Hanna Ayoub Rug Cleaning

The service was okay. The people were lovely people.

I started to write an earlier review,and actually sent one, but then discovered I had written somewhat negatively about the Wrong Ayoub company! I have used both, but the one in Chantilly Virginia is my best choice. The Hannah Ayoub Company, on the other hand, brought back a white wool rug that looked kind of grey at first, but over time has looked grimier and grimier. That may be because the age and usage of the rug, but I am didsappointed. Note: I have used both companies, but, again, the one in Chantilly Virginia would be my first choice. The Hannah Ayoub Company was OK, but not first rate.* *Please let me know if this is clear.

I am completely amazed by what Richard was able to do with the rug. I originally received it from my grandfather in poor condition. He had it professionally cleaned by another company but there were many stains left. Richard was able to make it almost like new! It makes me happy to know I will be able to keep this memento of my grandmother in good shape for a very long time. Thank you!

This company is easy to deal with over the phone, and clear about pricing (they price per square foot, a fixed price, and they respect coupons they have issued). We agreed on a date and time for them to pick up the rugs, and they arrived a little bit later than the window they had given. They looked over the carpets, and the list I had prepared to describe and identify them. They suggested that the ratty corners on one old rug could be mended, for $10 for each tear, and I agreed to that. They picked up and hauled the rugs to their van. About a week later, they brought them back at the precise time they had quoted when they called to tell me everything was ready. The rugs are obviously much cleaner and look brighter, even the ones that are quite old and subject to heavy foot traffic. The dhurries, as they had warned me, are harder to clean, and some longstanding marks are still faintly visible. This is partly because they had been there for so long (we had had the dhurrie in storage and not paid attention to the stains which may have been under furniture)--so I would recommend to others that if you do notice a mark on such a rug, you should call Hanna Ayoub right away for cleaning! I asked the gentleman who delivered the rugs for a few words of advice about some other textile issues we have and he had useful suggestions. We will send more rugs to this firm for cleaning because they did a good job, it is easy to talk to them, they are polite, and they are not vague about pricing.

Be realistic of the cost of oriental rug cleaning, or better yet, before you buy or inherit oriental rugs. they need special care which can be costly.

When I made the appt I received pretty explicit instructions about preparing the wall-to-wall carpeting for shampooing. (Actually it's a lot of work to do this--but doing it right increases the success of the project). They arrived on time. Very helpful--when they were lifting the dining room table to roll up that 9x12 (or larger) rug, they discovered that the table top was resting on but no longer attached to the pedestal legs. They were really careful with this table. The oriental rug cleaning is expensive but easy on the customer--Ayoub comes & rollsup the carpets & then brings them back. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning requires client/customer to move as much as possible off the carpet & to do a thorough job of vacuuming. The work was done carefully and with no damage to any funiture & no "spraying" on walls or floors. The workmen packed up neatly. They were extremely polite. I just wish I'd found out before they had packed up that they could do upholstered furniture--I'd have had them do those as well. --- When you make an appointment, the people in the office can answer many questions & work w/ you on schedule. I'm pretty sure I asked that they call me 1/2 hour before arriving in case I had to be in the office part of the day. They did that

Classic bait and switch. They quoted me a low price on the phone, then refused to honor it when they arrived to pick up my rug for cleaning. I paid twice what they quoted me and only after I refused to pay the even higher prices they wanted. They also did not honor the Angie's list 20% off coupon, which they said was only for more expensive deep cleaning (this is not what it states on the coupon). It was supposed to take 1 - 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I called and was given a delivery of Saturday morning between 8 and 10. At 10:30 I called for a status. At 11:15 they called me back to say the delivery person was in Baltimore and would not get to me until after 2. I never heard back from them and still do not have my rug.

I had two oriental-style rugs that needed cleaning badly, due to the presence of animals in our home. The first place I called provided an estimate which was higher than the original cost of the rugs! I tried Hanna Ayoub next. What a difference! Their price was about half that of their competitor. We agreed to a day and time for them to pick up the rugs, and they arrived promptly. They kept the rugs for the estimated amount of time, and delivered them in a timely manner once the cleaning was complete. In addition, they performed minor repairs, and put the rugs back on the floors where we wanted them, moving furniture to do so. The gentlemen with whom I conversed all spoke English as a first language, so it was easy to understand them. I would definitely use this company again!

Have used Hanna Ayoub twice in the past few months. Both times they were courteous, reliable, efficient and the rugs are clean! Extremely pleased with their service.

Two representatives of the company came to our home to pick up the rugs. They carefully moved the furniture and rolled the rugs. We were preparing for a hardwood floor replacement followed by painting of the whole first floor. They told us we could call them when we were ready to get the rugs back. When we called, the rugs were delivered and placed in each room. The Ayoub men very kindly moved one of the rugs to a different room when asked. Our experience was excellent over all!

The service was very good. The price was very reasonable. I would probably use them again.

Had an oriental rug cleaned (roughly 5' x 8'). I didn't realize how dirty it was until i picked it up. Wow. Looks brand new. Price was fair, and service was excellent. I would definately use them again.

I have a relatively small (about 3X5 foot) oriental rug that had chocolate milk spilled on it by a child. I found this cleaner on Angie's List and chose them because they are extremely convenient to my house and they were highly rated. I expected to pay much more for the cleaning, and the rug was cleaned in a very timely fashion. The stain was removed completely, and there is no residual odor. In fact, the rug's colors are much more vibrant now that the rug is clean!

We had 6 oriental rugs cleaned. Several were Persian, one Chineese and one US (Karistan). The rugs were picked up promptly from our home at no charge. Two rugs required repairs and all were delivered back to our home when promised, about 2 weeks later. The repairs were done well.

They were willing to do everything I asked of them.

I contacted Hanna Ayoub Rug Cleaning and they arrived at the agreed upon time to pick up the rug. About two weeks later I scheduled its return and at the agreed upon time they arrived to deliver it. During both pickup and delivery, great care was taken to move furniture and return it to its original position. The rug was very clean although it had a slight odor of the soap used to clean it. Very professional operation.

I called the company one day, and they came out the next day. The two men (one of them Mr. Ayoub) came out to pick up the rugs. They had to move dining room and living room furniture, and they did so very carefully. They put everything back the way perfectly. The cost was a tad expensive, but the work was done professionally. No stains or smells remained when the carpets were returned. The two men had to again move furniture (including double bed) to put the rugs back down. The repairs on the old hand-woven rug were exceptionally well done. The costs (about $1700) were high, but actually, about $550 was for the cleaning. The rest was for the repair of the old rug. The only problem I had (and it was probably my fault) was that I waited for them to call me back to tell me the rugs were ready to be returned. They didn't do that. However, it turned out that the date they said the rugs would probably be ready was correct. I waited a couple of weeks longer before I called them. They returned the rugs the next day.

We used them twice because unfortunately we had a second flood. I would recommend.

I called the company and got an immediate response. The price quotes received were accurate. The estimated time of completion turned out to be accurate as well. However, I expected the company to let me know when the carpets would be ready to be returned. I was wrong - and it took a couple of more weeks before I called to inquire about them. After my call, the rugs were returned quickly. Three of the rugs were returned to their original locations (dining room, bedroom, and living room). Several pieces of furniture had to be moved in order to place the rugs properly. The other three were smaller area rugs -- and no issues arose with replacing them. The two men were patient, and put down the rugs exactly as I wanted them placed. The rugs appeared clean, with no visible stains. I was quite pleased with the results.

They were really cheap. Our cat had peed on it. They didn't guarantee that they would be able to get that out, but the rug looked much better when it was cleaned and the cat hasn't peed on it since then. They were good. They are close by. They were cheap because I called other places and it was going to cost over $100.00. They were friendly enough. The only thing that I didn't like is that I never got a call to say that it was ready. I had to call them and find out that it was ready. We would use them again because they are really close, they weren't expensive, and the rug came out fine. We dropped the rug off and picked it up too because it wasn't that far away. That probably cut down on the price too.

We set up to have our rugs cleaned during a major kitchen and living room renovation. The cleaning process took about 3 weeks but was done to align well with the renovation project

This was 2nd time using this company. Both times company did a good job in just a few days.

Great job. Carpets were sparkling clean,and the pickup and return were fast and efficient.I would definitely use them again.
