After having used many different house cleaners over the years -- usually with mixed results -- we finally found Eric De Leon. She's been cleaning our house every 2 weeks now for six months or so, and we are absolutely delighted. I can't say enough good things about her. She and her crew (4 employees total; usually 2-3 people on each job) are reliable, thorough, extremely careful, totally trustworthy. Erica takes real pride in her work; her specialty is attention to detail, which she stresses to her employees. If there's a spot of dust or a cobweb out of reach, she's going to find a way to get at it. She's generally cheerful, very easy-going and flexible. We choose to have her come only 2x per month; I think she probably charges slightly more because of this. She cheerfully accepts our frequent changes to the rooms or tasks -- its a little different every time -- and is works with us whenever we have to change the date or time. It's never a problem. Best of all, Erica is fluent in English, uses email and carries a cell phone (for scheduling, etc.), and very personable. The ability to communicate easily and pleasantly is no small matter. She's very smart and frankly a pleasure to chat with. Also, she's a total self-starter. We never asked her to do this, but every time she comes she gives us one "extra" -- some "extra sore spot" to thoroughly clean -- a neglected corner, a pile of books somewhere, junk in a closet, the cabinet of cleaning material under the sink, the laundry room, etc. So gradually, over the months, every spot in the house gets attention. I'm trying to think of some small fault, but having difficulty. Only one comes to mind: Most of her employees, though they have similarly high cleaning standards, do not speak much English. So on the rare occasions when Erica is not here personally the entire time and we need to make a request, I have to rely on my primitive Spanish. But Erica always carries her cell phone, so we know we can always call her and ask her to speak directly to the employee, but that has never been necessary. The bottom line: We actually look forward to Erica's visits. Instead of feeling uncomfortable, it's a pleasure to have her in our home. After she leaves, we're always pleased and often surprised by all that she accomplished.
Description of Work: They clean our entire house bi-weekly -- 4+ bedrooms, kitchen, dining, family room, 3.5 bathrooms, etc. Includes tidying up, dusting, wiping, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc. Sometimes they do some laundry as well.
