Owner consistently displayed poor engagement with prospective customer. I should have expected no less given that I called 5 times before (and spoke with owner each time). The owner finally schedule an appointment after I complained about having multiple conversations with him, but still had not received a visit. Since the Decorative Concrete's office is located and my property are located in the same neighborhood, owner suggested doing a drop in one day. I agreed -- but the visit never happened. When finally scheduled for an appointment, the owner sent a relative to provide the estimate. That person never followed up with a quote. I also gather there was a racial issue as well and Decorative Concrete wasn't interested in my $20k job or the referral from another professional.

Walker and his crew could not have done a better job. The previous homeowner had added a concrete patio which unfortunately slopes towards the sunroom which was resulting in water damage. We got several quotes as it was a major project to remove the existing patio and add a drainage system. Walker and his foreman spent a considerable amount of time obtaining measurements and doing surveys to determine the grading, placement of drains before we even hired them. Walker spent much more time explaining the scope of the project before we even started. From start to finish he and his crew were excellent. They always arrived on time and communicated well if anything needed to be delayed due to weather. Due to the size of the project we had different patterns and color variations. Walker was wonderful during this phase and knew what my wife was trying for to achieve. Walker placed an extensive drainage system (all the water is now diverted from around our house to our front yard per our request). Now regardless of how hard it rains all the water goes exactly where it should! We couldn’t be happier with the job Walker did. He transformed an eyesore (concrete patio, crumbling asphalt, and a source of anxiety) into an oasis in our backyard. In total we had a new patio, retaining wall, rebuilt a bowing brick wall onto our basement stairwell, wrought iron fence, driveway, and extensive drainage system. Wonderful to work with and would hire without hesitation.

The crew was very organized, professional and neat. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was amazing. Communication was excellent from the initial bidding process, through design proposals and adjustments, to the final walkthrough. They even coordinated with the crew who began repaving our street during the job to find a way to keep our project on schedule. We couldn’t be happier with the beautiful results.

They did an excellent job and we are very happy with the work. Very impressed with their workmanship and efficiency. It wasn’t easy for us to picture what certain things would look like and they worked closely with us on all the details so we’d get what we wanted—they were eager to please. We did a fair amount of ‘due diligence’ research, had 3 other bids, and visited the past jobs. Although their price was highest, we felt the detail in their work looked consistently best.

Mark and his team were very professional and even my neighbors commented how well organized they appeared once they started installing our walkway and patio. We are extremely happy with the finished product and would recommend these guys in a heartbeat.

Creative Concrete did a large patio, sidewalk and driveway extension. The crew was very professional. They were like artisans with the concrete! Even our neighbors were commenting on how professional the crew was and how amazed they were at careful they were. They left everything tidy every day while the job was in progress, had great communication and the final results were spectacular! Everyone who comes over our house can't believe stamped concrete could look so amazing. I would recommend Creative Concrete to anyone who is looking for a quality contractor. I'm so glad I found them on Angie's list!

He wanted to know how much money I wanted to spend and sort of telling me how much it was going to cost. He tried to up-sell me but he never did give me an estimate for what I wanted. The cost of doing the job is what the cost of doing the job is and that shouldn't be dependent on how much money I have. All they wanted to do was haggle the price with me and tell me that I shouldn't get the concrete repaired but I should get a whole walk way and he was like, "I can do anything for you and then you can just pay me $1000 a month." I thought it was shady and I didn't like it. However, he did get back to me and if he tries to up-sell me then you've got to give the guy credit for trying to make a dollar. I just didn't like his approach. He wasn't interested in fixing the crack for me. I thought it was a very strange interaction although he is better than some that he did get back to me and was willing to talk to me but it was clear he had something he wanted to do and if I wasn't willing to do that then he wasn't going to do the work.

Four contractors provide quotes to replace our existing deteriorating driveway. The quotes ranged from $25k to $45k. The initial contractor never showed up to perform the work. Via Angi's List, we found Creative Concrete. The company owner came out to visit us as scheduled and was very helpful in selecting the various options for the project. His courteous and professional crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job. In addition, to installing a well crafted superior product, they cleaned and organized the job site daily. When they completed the project, they went beyond expectation to clean the surrounding area, trim the bushes and install new architecture stone. Creative Concrete was a pleasure to work with, was organized and professional and produced a phonemenal product. I would highly recommend this company.

There were several design meetings to make the selection and lay out the cuts in the concrete, the colors to be added to the concrete and the stamp to be used. Time on laying out the area was well spent. The final design worked very well with the house and integrated into the overall house exterior and landscaping. The work schedule was followed exacting; they team arrived on the days promised, and worked until the concrete and stamping for the day was completed. They worked into the evening as needed to cure the concrete properly. The workers were very professional and a delight to watch as they worked as a excellent team. The work was completed on time. They removed all trash from the work area. We conducted a final walk through to answer any questions or concerns --- of which there were none. The work was completed on time as promised. The price per square foot was very competitive. We were pleasantly surprised about this. The resulting product is an exciting drive way. The concrete with the textured stamp and colors looks like very large stone, instead of poured concrete. As a result the concrete parking area and drive way matche our blue stone walk ways.

The two man crew that showed up originally came on time and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, they were taken off the job for several days due to problems with a larger project. The company then gave us a larger crew to finish. This group worked hard but left a couple of minor problems. The most important of these was fixed a couple of weeks later. The other item, filling a border under one fence with pea gravel to match the other side, was never done. I requested at least some identification of the type of gravel and where we might find it, so we could procure it ourselves, but never heard back. I would recommend the company, as the job was difficult and the result met my expectations, but the minor issues at the end, and the scheduling delay, keep me from giving them A's down the line.

Walker was great to work with. Very personable and honest. He and his crew did a beautiful job on the driveway. The workers were courteous, neat, and prompt.

Walker Simpson was very quick to answer our inquiry about the job. Brendan, his assistant, came to our home on the date and time we arranged, did a thorough evaluation of the job sight, made very helpful suggestions, took measurements and drew a rough sketch of what the finished product would look like. Walker was quick to then contact us by phone with a rough estimate and followed that up with a visit to our home. He added some suggestions about down spout control which were brilliant in helping move a lot of storm water from the back of our home to the front where it has more than adequate drainage, all done under the concrete. The work started within a few days of our agreement and continued for about a week. The crew that did the work were all seasoned concrete finishers, knew their craft well and worked very, very hard. Brendan kept in constant contact with us to discuss the progress and asked many questions to help us get the product that we had envisioned. The front porch was finished first and I remember coming home and being genuinely blown away with how good it looked! The rest of job was just as impressive. The final price was extremely fair considering the finished product and all of the small adjustments made along the way (moving some fence posts, abating wet clay in the driveway base and others). Creative Concrete is a fantastic company to deal with and always put us, their customer at the center of what they were doing; something that unfortunately is far to rare these days. The only negative to the drive way portion is parking our vehicles on it. It is such a work of art, it seems a crime to cover it up!

Walker was easy to work with, listened well, had great suggestions, was responsive to all my emails and phone calls and completed the work on time and on budget. I have received dozens of positive comments on my new driveway from my neighbors. I highly recommend Creative Concrete!

The provider was responsive, came out and looked at the work. But based on the price was much much too high. It was 30% higher than comparable companies. This company is a specialty company for stamped and colored concrete, and should not be recommended for traditional driveway replacement. He told me he was too busy with his stamped concrete work to be bothered with a normal driveway.

He was good. Workers were good! They did a good job!

Initially, we established a written agreement that established the scope of work. The homeowner added an addendum that the contractor agreed added specifics to the original agreement. The contractor and homeowner established a work start date and work completion date. The contractor's crew started work as agreed to and did an outstanding job. The work was done in a very professional manner. This contractor is very detail oriented and has extremely standards for his work. At the end of the job the homeowner established a punch list of items that needed attention prior to finishing the job. The contractor's crew promptly addressed the items on the punch list and the homeowner happily paid the final bill. The work that the contractor did adds value to my house. It doesn't get better than that.

The work was performed in an outstanding manner. The crews arrived at the appointed time and ensured that the work area was clean and orderly when they left at the end of the day. There was a problem with one piece of equipment but they had a replacement delivered within two hours so there was no impact on the work. The major obstacle was the weather. We have several days of heavy rain just when they had completed the breakup and removal of the concrete from the old driveway. The crew was successful in making adjustments to the schedule to remain as close to the original schedule as possible. They did an outstanding job of removing and the retaining the sod near the original driveway so that it could be reused. Once the new driveway was installed and the sod was replaced someone driving by would have a hard time telling that the driveway was freshly installed. I was very impress with Walker and all the workers that were involved in our project. They kept us informed of the project status and also of the future work activities. Any questions were answer thoroughly and any concerned were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Creative Concrete for similar type projects.

This is my first review. On time and on price. Price was little higher but competitive. Driveway looks great. I even get compliments for just a driveway!!

My project is an existing ground level office with a bathroom that needed to be remodeled. This required the removal of a good portion of the existing slab to replace some aging and brittle pipes. After demolition and new pipe installations, I needed a concrete contractor to install welded wire mesh and tie a new pour into the existing slab of concrete. I went to Angie's List and set my search criteria. Creative Concrete came up with an A rating and several reviews in my area. Walker Simpson came to my home and looked at the project. We agreed on a price and set a date. His crew arrived on time and went immediately to work. They cleaned up some rough edges left from demolition and also leveled the stone. The wire was then installed. The crews swept and put down plastic sheeting on the existing floor to keep it clean during the pour. The concrete truck arrived on time and the crew had to load the 1.5 cubic yards of concrete into their wheel barrow and through the office doorway. The concrete was rough leveled and after an appropriate setting time had passed their crew put an expertly troweled finish on the surface. They cleaned up the site perfectly and left everything in great condition. The wife has some walkways in mind and I'll giving Walker a call soon. I recommended Creative Concrete for high quality, reasonably priced services.

This project was done at my parents' house. I did the research for them and set up the estimate appointments. My parents' far preferred Walker Simpson's plan, from design to price, than any of the others. He listened and was easy to work with, helping them with design and color choices. Once the contract was signed, the work was done almost immediately. My dad felt that Walker has a very good crew. The cement truck parked in the street rather than pulling into the driveway. Dad was told that plywood would be laid across the yard to prevent damage, but that didn't happen. Fortunately though there was no damage to the yard. The work crew was very neat and careful to pick up and thoroughly clean up after themselves. They had some tight areas to work around and did their very best not to damage any surrounding shrubbery. Some bushes in the way prevented the crew from perfectly executing one area of the walkway. There probably was a better way to work around them. Some white residue has showed up on one are of the steps since the work was completed, but a crew has come out to work on it. My parents have called Walker several times to reposition a misplaced bench, remove some excess gravel, look at the white residue, etc. and each time Walker has sent someone to take care of the issue, so follow-up has been good. Dad gave them a "B" for Responsiveness as replies and follow-up didn't necessarily happen immediately. The porch, steps, and walkway are beautiful -- we would definitely recommend Creative Concrete and would use this company again.
