The technician was very punctual and curteous. He did a thorough inspection of the fireplace and gave us an inspection report with tips for ongoing maintenance of the fireplace. We felt we received good service at a very reasonable price. We had some follow up questions for the vendor and they were very prompt in their response. Their after-sales service truly surprised us as we have never seen such prompt and responsive after-sales service from any vendor we have dealt with.

Service was clean, efficient and prompt. Tim, the technician, clearly explained my 100+ year old chimney's technology, condition and what to keep in mind for the furture. Unlike some companies, who use scare tactics to up-sell business, Tim left me feeling confident, better informed and up-to-date on my home maintenance. Now, if anyone asks for a recommendation for their fireplace or chimney needs, Chimny.com will be first on my list.

Tim Owen inspected my fireplace and taught me how to turn the gas on/off every winter, the failsafe points, and inspected the fireplace switches and blower. He noted that the blower would not power on because it was not wired with electricity and told me to approximate cost of wiring.
One con was that the Chimney.com receptionist said that I would be given a free quote for any repairs and did not mention an inspection fee of $95. I didn't mind paying because Tim was thorough and explained the existing issues with our fireplace and made recommendations of how to move forward, so this was not his fault. However, to the owners--tell your receptionists to be up-front with any inspection costs or dispatch fees. It makes the company look bad if you say it is a "free quote" and then ask for money in person.

After Capitol Chimney serviced my fireplace, my gas logs did not work properly. I had Chimney.com come out to cap off the propane line, since the burner had been damaged by the previous provider. Technician was courteous, prompt & efficient. Much better than my experience with that other chimney company.

Called to get a quote and date set technician showed up on time and did a thorough inspection of chimney and gave us a quote for repair work in addition spent a reasonable time explaining problem and repair work requirements. New 612 cap with in time frame given.

The technician was very polite and efficient. After he left, we discovered that the fireplace did not turn on every time the switch was flipped. He came back a few days later and traced the problem to a magnetic switch which was being impeded by dirt and rust. He fixed the problem and showed us how to fix the issue if it ever recurred. We haves had no problems since and can unhesitatingly highly recommend Chemney.com.
