+ -1 moreBiweekly pool service of my indoor swim spa. Worked well for a while, but then the water quality deteriorated mysteriously and they weren’t able to diagnose or address it. Eventually changed pool liner and cover. Should have done that and changed companies sooner. My new company is much less expensive and provides more information each visit.

Description of Work: They have been our summer pool service for 26 years. They also have renovated our pool once and made other repairs as needed. Their service is great. It is intelligent, personalized, professional, prompt, and reliable - not just for a year but for many years. When we have any problem requiring attention, we call and they usually are here that day to assess the situation. They have helped us clear away unexpected storm debris in the pool to accommodate parties that we had planned, and much else. Since you can only enjoy your outdoor pool during the summer, you want a relible service that keeps your water pristine and your equipment functioning to make the cost of owning a pool worth it. We highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreI got bids from 3 companies. One my wife contacted was 1/3 lower but Consumer Checkbook ratings were low and further research showed problems with them around the country. The other company Pool Service had a bid which matched Capitol but despite knowing someone at the company and a positive initial contact we could not get their rep to followup or return calls which delayed us for a couple of months. Capitol got beck to us quickly, returned calls and answered our questions promptly. They said 3 days and they were on-time and done in that period. Would definitely recommend them for this type of job.

CAPITOL POOL SVC INC offers the following services: The core of our business is seasonal service contracts for residential pools, commercial fountains and commercial therapy pools. We customize your service to fit your needs, whether it is on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Chemicals are included in the cost, as are opening Summerization and Winterization of the system. A complete pool renovation can transform your old pool into a new gem. Except for the plastering, we do all coping, tile, prep, plumbing and electrical work in house.
We are a service business, not a retail business. For over 35 years we have concentrated on in-ground solid pools, not vinyl lined pools. Based in Silver Spring, MD, we can respond to our clients in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, Georgetown and NW DC, and McLean, VA, in a timely manner. We do not service Laurel, Fort Washington, Mt. Vernon or Leesburg.
