Description of Work: They did not perform service.

Description of Work: We bought the chimney cleaning service to have the chimney cleaned in a house that we recently bought and are having refurbished. We have not moved into the home yet and could not get the chimney cleaned earlier because of the construction going on in the home. When they inspected the chimney on 4/28, they stated that they could not clean it (the service we requested) because it needed a liner and other services. We were told that the work that needed to be completed would cost approx. $2300. After this work is completed, the chimney would no longer need to be cleaned. We don't need the work done at this time and can have the work completed for 1/3 of the cost that was quoted us by this company. We were offered by Angie's List to add the cost that we paid for the service to another service, but we have already bought services on Angie's List for our moving service, carpet cleaning and for landscaping service, and need no other services at this time. We would appreciate a refund. I hope that we can resolve this issue satisfactorily. Thank You, [Member information removed].

Description of Work: Installed 2 ea. Chimney Caps, and then on the following day, replaced one ea. Chimney Cap with a Chimney Damper! The replaced Cap was retained by the installers.

Description of Work: A representative came to the house and advised me that my chimney did not, in fact, need to be cleaned, as it was already clean. I had not used it in years and was considering doing so. However, he did inform me that my gas heater ventilated into the chimney and there was no liner. That would mean that my heater and my fireplace were "cohabiting" (my word) the same airspace. He suggested that I fix install one and fix the damper. But when I talked to my HVAC people, it was suggested that I get a new furnace (mine is over 30 years old) and water heater (mine is deteriorating). The new equipment would not vent through the chimney so it did not make sense to get the liner. The chimney company took pictures of the masonry on top of the chimney and said it needed some repair, so we will do that this Spring. The cost of this visit will go to the masonry fees, I believe.

Description of Work: Bought a coupon for chimney cap and chimney sweep. Upon arrival, they realized that they could not do either due to the condition of my chimney. The inspection was professional, and they actually refunded my coupon (minus a very reasonable $75 inspection fee) on the spot upon my request! In addition, their analysis seemed very thorough.

Description of Work: They replaced the inside of the chimney wall the damper and had to do some concrete work up on top. They were very pleasant they did a great job.

They indicated they would write-up an estimate of additional work required and provide a follow-up. That did not occur. But the discounted service was supplied satisfactorily.

Description of Work: We ended up needing repair work done rather than just a sweep. They did great, fast work. There were some initial scheduling problems which I think were due to miscommunication between the office and the field team. In the end we spoke with the manager directly and got on the same page.
