Good service, on time. Repairs needed were scheduled and performed on time and on budget.

He charged us extra because it was a stove and not a fireplace. That was not in the Angie's list description. Then he told us that all the fire bricks needed to be replaced and that that would be an additional $500. We said no thank you and ordered them directly from Ace. Delivered they are about $140. And not all the bricks need replacement. We can't see if the chimney cleaning was adequate, but assume it is. However, we would not recommend this company unless you are prepared for costs on top of the agreed upon price.

The men were professional and did a very good job. Was surprised by an additional $40 charge because I have an wood burning insert, which was not clear when I scheduled the appointment.

The did the job in two stages, the first to clean and assess the problem, and the second to mitigate it. They were professional and left no mess.

The cleaning was okay, but I was concerned about the inspection. They said I needed five things done for a total of $1, 635 in repairs. I called another company (A rated from Angie's List) and they said I needed three things done for $519. I told the second company what the first company said I needed done and they disagreed with the two of the items. They agree with three, but were $291 cheaper for the same items to be repaired.

Very punctual and professional. Provided some good tips on how to increase the longevity of the chimney and pointed out some cracks to keep an eye on.

The technician called and recommended a list of repaires. I agreed with the recommendations and gave them the ok to move ahead with the repairs.

The work was performed as agreed. The chimney started leaking water after a rain storm. They came back to fix the problem. Seemed to have fixed the leak, as there were no other problems so far.

The work took 2 1/2 days. The workers were friendly and punctual. They worked very hard and cleaned up well after they finished. The owner gave us a senior discount which was very nice. We were very pleased with this company and would definitely recommend it.

Chimney is still dirty, patches of black flacks are falling when I open the vent. The original material that covered the surface of fireplace was far better quality and fashionable than the new one. Very low quality of work and craftsmanship.

Capitol Chimney kept constant communication prior to each appointment and throughout the process. All work was done to statisfaction and the finished product looks great. The only downside was when the chimneys were cleaned the creosote film spread throughout the main floors the fireplaces were located. After notifying them, I was given a discount for cost of cleaning.

Everything went really, they cleaned up as if they were never there. I would recommend and hire again.
