It was just fine. They were very respectful, quick, and courteous. I'm happy with the work they did. The price seems to be very good for the deal.

It did take some time initially to get set up with an appointment. Had to reschedule once due to a driver calling in sick, but this wasn't a big deal to me. The guys who came out were quick, clean and efficient. At the end they let me know about a crack in my prefab fireplace that needed repair (which is not considered masonry). Their price came in fairly high for the repair and they were unwilling to haggle (I already knew about the crack and had solicited quotes from other providers prior). I chose to go with another provider for the repair.

It turned out great. They did a good job, everything seems fine and it was a reasonable rate. They did what they were supposed to do. I would use them again.

He was here for about an hour. He was very neat - layed out drop cloth to prevent ashes from getting onto floor or carpet, and left everything neat and clean.

The Capital Chimney guys said that would be a mistake until repairs are done to the chimney so we are now at a standstill until we get another opinion.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They showed up on time, they were in and out in perfect timing, and they were out pretty quickly. They didn't make a mess, they put on boot covers, and they were nice and professional. The price was good, it was reasonable.

Initially I was not contacted by the company, after reaching out to them and resetting the appointment they called ahead to confirm our appointment. They were punctual and courteous. They walked the roof and gave good tips on how to best use the air vent as they explained that opening it up all the way could cause damage to our chimney over time.

Excellent response and customer service. When I called and explained our situation (our corroded chimney liner triggered our furnace automatically shutting down) they understood the urgency of the situation --the dispatcher even asked the $10k question: "Do you have heat?" A pro came out within a couple hours for the estimate and assured us he could do the job the next day. I didn't receive a written quote or email, so was worried we'd remain without heat but the next morning, he arrived with two other workers --despite the freezing rain-- and finished the job. Would absolutely recommend, although with a lifetime warranty on the chimney liner, hope to never have to use again :)

The sweep worked out pretty well. They did a pretty good job. The technician showed up on time as promised. In addition to the sweep, they gave us great advice on how to keep the chimney clean and working well. They also made sure there was no mess when they were completed. Overall, I was satisfied with the service.

Great! Responsive and very customer service oriented. I will hire them again for chimney cleaning and other services. Masonry job was fabulous. They were able to use my bricks (which are REAL bricks and not the newly fabricated kind) and that savings was reflected in my price. Plus the aesthetics for the home...consistent and still looks good. The brick masons took pictures of the chimney top and caps but was unable to forward to me...I wish I had those to share. One challenge was that CO was coming from boiler and I had to mediate the differences between the boiler repair and the chimney repair companies. The chimney service was correct; yet, I spent the time doing my own research to make sure we didn't and wouldn't have CO in the home. That was a bit of a challenge and frustration for the chimney service but he understood and we worked through it.

The manager called right after they left to ask how the work went. I told him everything was perfect.

It took 7 weeks for me to have my problem rectified. if the initial inspection was done correctly a lot of frustration and time would have been avoided, however I was pleased with the different second group of workers.

The replacement parts did not eliminate the burnt smell or clod air leak. The basement still remains cold and wood burn smell continues. The chill and smell is less in comparison but I am not sure if $450.00 investment was worth an incomplete resolution the problem I am now looking to get a cover for the fireplace to resolve the air leak and smell issue.

They were only here for about ten minutes. I thought they were petty average. I would not use them again. They didn't act very professional.

They came in to perform the service and before they started they barely looked at the fireplace and told me that their equipment would not be able to completely clean the middle of chimney chute because the bristles are too wide and I have a old chimney. The space they needed to get into was too small. He wanted me to possible pay $400+ to update the chute. I was not prepared for that so a partial cleaning was done. The top of the chimney and the fireplace were done but right above the fireplace and behind the mantle he could not get to that space. So I really cannot rate them. They should had specified that they only service updated chimneys.

It was great. They were very professional and right on time. They were very helpful. They did exactly what I wanted then they left. They did take a quick look at my other chimney but it didn't need any service so they had an opportunity there to try and charge me for more work but they just said I don't need the work so that was nice. It was a very positive experience overall.

The employees arrived on time and were very polite and extremely clean. They were quick about their work and gave me good tips for how best to deal with my stove, its components and lighting fires in it. Not a speck of ash or soot was allowed anywhere in my house. They were also very good with my 3 year old (who was enthralled after seeing Mary Poppins) and my dog. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I purchased an Angie's List deal to have my chimneys cleaned by Capitol Chimney Service. Once I was able to get them here, I felt that the service provided was great. They cleaned both of my chimneys and provided some suggested repairs (although I wasn't sure they were necessary, so I didn't move forward with them). I felt their responsiveness could be improved, but it was around the holidays, which might explain why. I also admittedly had to cancel on them twice due to scheduling conflicts. I did find that leaving messages on their answering service was sometimes ineffective (as one of my cancellations on the Thursday night before a Monday appointment went unheard and they called me that Monday to tell me they were on their way). I also felt like it would have been nice to have more frequent updates as to when during the four hour window they would arrive. Other than that, the two men who came out were very professional during the cleaning and took pictures of the things that needed repair and showed them to me on the spot. I would likely use them again.

It was okay. I told him that he should have the equipment for new and old chimney's. They should not be forcing people to purchase new things to upgrade their old chimney's. I did not have the money at the time to do it. They should set the price for cleaning the chimney's. I felt like all of the information was not there and I felt like I was not properly informed. They came out shortly after I purchased it. I felt like I should have gotten a credit, because he said that he could not clean it all the way. He could only clean to the middle. He came in and looked inside the chimney and then started quoting me prices. I had to call my boyfriend to find out what they were doing. The pricing was fine if he had done the whole job. I would not be able to use them again, because they do not have the equipment. The next time I call someone I will make sure that they have the equipment to clean it.

It went well. In addition to cleaning, the service person answered all our questions regarding how we could improve the efficiency of our current dryer set up. We then hired the company to rebuild a chimney stack and re-line our chimney.

All work was completed on time and appears to have been done well (I am not an expert on brickwork so it is hard for me to judge the quality of the work). The damper works well and appears sturdy. Overall, the work seems of high quality.

Cleaners were very punctual and professional. They made sure that the cleaning did not cause a mess inside of the house. They took a ladder and went to the top of the chimney and inspected that as well.
