It went exactly as promised.

A team of 2 came & swept our chimney. The quality & quantity of work done was acceptable for the cost

Work was completed ahead of schedule. I wasn't present when completed, and asked the company to provide someone to explain the work that was completed. I wasn't entirely thrilled with the work. I was hoping for work that looked like the original chimney, but it looks like it was repaired. Owner came out and said it looked fine. I respectfully disagreed, but we agreed on a discounted price. Lesson learned - move on.

Great. Very quick and professional. They cleaned the chimney quickly and made sure to properly protect my furniture.

It went very well. They were prompt and clean – everything you could ask for. They came out within a reasonable amount of time. They suggested installing a rain cap and we're thinking of using the masonry credit on some stairs.

10 minutes chimney sweep, 1 minute on the roof checking then rush to leave. Left my husband $1300 estimation for repairs. I requested them send me the photos they took on the roof, and still have not got it.

main complaint is their was an attempt to up sell unnecessary work.

They gave a window of time and then they gave a 30 minute on our way call.Layed a drop cloth did the cleaning and then expected exterior of chimney. There visible issues that the worker pointed out and then no pressure - he provided an estimate for the repairs.

They did okay. They did not go on top of the roof to do the chimney. They went to the fireplace and poked something up and cleaned something. I did not think it was efficient but it worked. They did what they were supposed to do and in a time they said they would.

Very pushy on the upsell. I never like contractors where the first thing they do upon meeting you is to suggest expanding the scope and price significantly. Hard to trust them.

Crew was professional and quick. I personally can not tell the difference, but I believe they cleaned the non visible areas. They provided a number of recommendations that we decided not to go with.

I purchased an Angie's list deal and contacted the company. At first, they said Lorton wasn't in their service area, but were willing to honor the deal. It took a couple of days to schedule the best date and time. They arrived on time (towards the end of the window given) and did a great job with the cleaning. I had purchased the deal for the cleaning and chimney cap, but since the cap did not need to be replaced, they refunded that cost. They also gave us a quote to replace the metal around the chimney, but we elected to get other bids. Overall, great service and would recommend.

It was fine - they arranged the appointment quickly, showed up on time - were very professional, friendly and efficient. Later, they came back to complete the repair work that they provided the estimate for the first time.

They came out to do the work, he cleaned the chimney, he called gave me a quote for the crown work $300.00 for the Job. I asked him how long it would take, he said it would take 1 to 2 hours of labor and some concrete. After the coupon that would it would cost $200.00. Labor rates at 300 dollars, what is this guy a lawyer...... but now for me to get somebody else out there it would cost around 200.00 for the job, but I paid for the coupon so I am kind of stuck with this guy. Bottom Line is that a coupon for 100.00 off without qualification is meaningless when the service provider can't explain how they come up with costs.

They were timely, clean, nice and seemed honest in recommending additional work to be done.

A two member team was sent to clean one chimney and perform a chimney inspection. They did an excellent and thorough job. The cost estimates they provided for chimney work was a bit high in my view. Otherwise, great job!

Pumctual, nice guy, worked quickly, clean, all is good as far as we can tell. HOWEVER we also asked for an estimate. We liked the price and called the next day to schedule - reached the emergency line and the guy said they would call the following week but to please call if we didn't hear back. Holiday weekend and all, not problem. We didn't hear from them, so I called the following Tuesday or Wednesday. They couldn't find our paperwork and promised to call back - never heard from them.

We called Capital Chimney because when we had a fire in the fireplace on a windy day, we smelled smoke in the basement. We asked them to clean and inspect the chimney, which they did. They told us the terra cotta lining was cracked, which was allowing smoke to get into the part of the chimney where the furnace exhaust went, and thus back up into the basement where the furnace is. There was no way to repair the lining, so they set a date to come back and break out the rest of the crumbling lining, and then to install a stainless steel stovepipe-like liner. The process went very smoothly, with minimum mess. They had to rebuild part of the chimney that had not been built properly when the house was first constructed. They cleaned everything up, and the fireplace has worked great since then. We really appreciated them bringing the furnace exhaust system up to code.

Showed up started cleaning chimney from below but initially did not remove firebox screen until I requested. Got on the roof only after their brush became stuck way up in the chimney. Clearly became apparent early on that their goal was to sell repair services. Left me with feeling fireplace was unsafe to use without replacing flue and fire wall--estimate $2600. Did not even repair some missing mortar on firewall although I called it to their attention. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. GET IT OFF YOUR LIST ANGIE

It all went beautifully. People were responsive, punctual, and pleasant. The finished jobs look good and as far as I can tell are well done.

They were great. They were pretty clean, on time, and stuck at the rate they quoted me. They were also quick to do the work. Their customer service was very good as well.
