Unfortunately they were quite inpatient especially while I asked questions and overall it felt rushed.

I bought a big deal for this service and it went well. I thought they were pretty good and wanted to put a another cap on my chimney for a couple of extra hundred dollar but I did not do that.

Great - they were very thorough, kept the area perfectly clean and they were very polite. They did a good job. I responded to a special offer from this service provider, so the price quoted reflects a discount.

I had to replace the water heater and due to new Montgomery County regulation, the chimney had to be relined. I called Capitol Chimney for an estimate and they quickly scheduled the appointment and told me the work that had to be done. I did have to wait around three weeks for the work to be done because of how busy they are (which I consider to be a good thing). The day of the installation the workers arrived on time and did all the work as requested.

I was very pleased with their work. They stuck with the job until it was complete.

They gave us suggestions. It took them maybe 20 minutes to do the inspection. They showed up early.

The men who came to do the chimney sweep were very punctual, kind and professional. Unfortunately, I have been unable to see if they did a good job or not, as I have not been able to use my chimney since the work was done. They advised me not to use my fireplace until the two prefab panels get replaced. Despite numerous emails and calls to the company (I was always sent to voicemail and left messages), no one has called me to schedule the replacement. It has been almost 2 months since I started trying to reach them. I have since contacted another A-rated company whose price is lower and has been very responsive. So, as for the men who did the work, they seemed excellent, but those running the office have been extremely unresponsive and apparently do not want my business.

I asked 4 different chimney services to come out to my house to provide an estimate for chimney rebuilding and for installation of a direct vent fireplace insert, including Capitol Chimney Service. Two technicians came out and performed an inspection (for which there was a $75 fee which I was not notified at the time of requesting an appointment for an estimate). They told me what I already knew, which was that the chimney was falling apart. They inaccurately told me that I share my chimney with my neighbor -- there is a second flue in my chimney but it actually comes from the basement. After the estimate was done the technician told me the owner would be in touch that afternoon to discuss fireplace inserts. No one ever called me back. Combining the surprise $75 inspection fee, the inaccurate assertion that I share my chimney with a neighbor (they were only going to rebuild half the chimney if they did the work!), with the fact that they didn't ever make an attempt to call me caused me to choose another provider. Of note, none of the other 3 companies I got estimates from charged for the estimate.

They recommended a lot of work that I declined. They felt that I needed masonry repairs outside the chimney, and a liner installed inside the chimney due to excessive creosote that could not be removed. Because all this was rather expensive, I got a second opinion. The other chimney sweep agreed with the installation of a liner, but felt the masonry repairs were not needed. I have not had any of the recommended work done.

Initial inspection was done and chimney itself was sound. Technician discovered flue was inoperable and quoted additional $600 to repair. Two men worked all day to repair. One guy was so covered with soot he needed to hose down in the yard in cold november weather. I was very impressed with them both. They did not give up. Once they removed the old flue they installed a new one and made sure I knew how to operate it. I was very grateful.

I got a quote from another company that was better.

It was good. We didn't end up having any further work performed but the inspection and cleaning went fine.

They were punctual and quick to finish the job.

The foreman took the time to write a comprehensive estimate for the structural work needed while he was onsite. He made suggestions as to the prioritization and gave me a written quote before he left.

Angies list deal for $219: chimney sweep plus flue cap. $456 for add'l flue cap, flue extension and concrete crown. First visit was chimney sweep and assessment of top of chimney. Second was for repairs on top of chimney. Punctual, professional. Prices could have been a little better.

It all went well. They were polite, prompt, and did a really good job. I'm pleased.

It was perfect. I really appreciated that they didn't try to sell me on unnecessary flue repair work, like a different company I used last year did. They did everything as promised, very efficient.

The provider came in, cleaned the chimneys and even gave some recommendations on how to cut costs in the winter by using your chimney more efficiently. I would definitely use them again and will probably call them in 2 years for another cleaning.

Provider arrived on timed as scheduled and performed services quickly and efficiently. I had scheduled even more services, but provider let me know they weren't needed after completing a chimney inspection, saving me a good chunk of money!

It was good and fine. There were no additional charges. It was quick and easy.

They were on time and did the job really quickly. When they came out, neither the furnace nor the chimney had a cap. So they recommended something really different like we put in a damper and sort of a cap on top and a cap on top of the furnace. So we purchased an additional service from them. They were right on spot really fast and they cleaned up. We were pretty happy with them.

Very good professional service

It was OK. The service was OK. They broke something going into the living room. I didn't notice it until after they left. They were able to come out on a Saturday afternoon. I felt like it was a good deal. They were punctual. They broke one of the welding's on it. There were no additional fees. They wanted to replace some bricks and a cap on but it was too expensive. They were responsive in making the appointment. They came out in the early afternoon. It was very apparent that the gate was broken but they didn't tell me. They should have been more careful when moving things. It was a good price to clean the chimney, but to fix it was astronomical. I probably wouldn't use them for repairs.

The service was done perfectly and in a timely manner.
