Our experience with Capitol Chimney Service was completely positive! We needed to have our chimney torn down and then rebuilt from the roofline up (approx 10 to 12 feet) due to its old age. It also needed to have a liner installed and to be crowned/capped appropriately. Our house is three stories tall, and the roof has a steep slope, so this was not going to be an easy job. The two other chimney company competitors that I had received estimates from took days from their initial visit to get back to me with their estimates. I was pleasantly surprised when Abraham, the estimator from Capitol Chimney, told me he only needed to go to his vehicle for about 10 mins to do up the estimate. What?! Sure enough. He was very quick, friendly and thorough with his written estimate, which ended up being very competitively priced when compared to their competitors. That combined with their 15% online coupon for military members, and I was sold! One of their administrative assistants, Jennifer, worked with me to get the specific custom brick and mortar colors that we wanted ordered from our local brick supply company and delivered to our house. She also worked with me to schedule a time that worked for them and us. Just one time the schedule had to get pushed back due to all the rainy weather we’d been having, and she always kept us up to date on the changes. When Jennifer was out, I also spoke with another office staff member, Diana, a couple of times. She was also very friendly, conscientious and helpful. The team arrived at the scheduled time – Luke was the ‘Lead’ and Vargas was the primary ‘Tech’. There were a couple other ‘Techs’ that helped Vargas on the three days they came – sorry I can’t remember their names, but they were always friendly and courteous. I was contemplating what kind of brick design I wanted at the top of the chimney, and Vargas showed pictures of some of the ones he had done previously. I found one from his selection that I liked, and I was very pleased with how the chimney turned out. It looks gorgeous, and came with a ten year warranty, lifetime on the liner. I couldn’t have been happier with our overall experience with Capitol Chimney Service. Will definitely use them again if I ever need similar work done.

These crooks didn't even do a full inspection and came back saying we needed a new liner, fire box spray coating and a few other items. Called several of their competitors including the company in Carroll County he used to work for and they confirmed we were being scammed. DO NOT hire this joke of a company.

I gave them the fireplace information over the phone and text some photos of the fireplace documents, The technician came a few days later and installed it in a matter of minutes. He was on time, curtious, and professional.

They cleaned the chimney and inspected it. We need a new liner, but overall it went very well. The chimney sweep was very careful and covered the floor. The whole process took around 30 minutes.

Excellent. They were spot on time each visit and the inspection and explanation of work needed was thorough. They fixed the masonry on the chimmney and ran a new liner fir the oil furnace to include new top vent. We have hired them again to adjust and fix our fireplace insert liner. Overall we are very happy with the service and will/would use again if necessary.

Great. Capital Chimney did a very good job, were clean, and polite. They identified other issues and after scheduling them to come back out repaired the fireplace. Again, they did a great job at a reasonable price and I would hire them again.

We had a great experience. Incredibly hardworking team, even though our project turned out to take more time than anticipated. We've used the fireplace all winter and have had zero issues. I would definitely recommend Capitol Chimney

This company gave me a time slot of between 1-3 on a Friday. They didn't show up. When I finally called to figure out where they were I wasn't in the system. (I had talked to them two days before). They said that they had a new system and it was unfortunate but there was nothing they could do. And rather than offering to find a time that would work for us they said we would have to wait, at a minimum, a week to even get a person back. It was really unfortunate and deeply unprofessional. I understand mistakes happen. No one and no company is perfect. But, simply saying too bad, wait and we'll get back to you when we can just isn't an appropriate response. I'm not giving them my business.

Great, he did a nice job, explained what he was doing (how the top part comes off to clean out all the dirt he removed from the liner). He did not clean the glass on the door, but I am sure he would have done if I asked while he was still here.

Everything went great. Very professional, and nice people.

They arrived on time and were very careful about keeping the debris from the chimney contained. The house was left perfectly clean. Chimneys both work as well as they did before work was done. When I expressed dissatisfaction about the way the fireplace door had been re-installed, they came back immediately and fixed it.

Diana is GREAT!! Very communicative during the process. There was an error on charges and the owner quickly refunded what was due. Fireplace looks AWESOME and is repaired.

They were very prompt and courteous.

Very quick and efficient, chimney needed additional work, but they did not pressure me into getting it done right away and sent me copies of the pictures they took of my chimney and the damage and an estimate for repairs.

They were great--thorough, friendly, etc. Only concern was they used a sheet metal screw instead of the correct screw for the fireplace door (which they found was loose) and so eventually we will have to replace the part instead of repairing.
