These guys were timely, informative, careful, and cleaned up every step of the way. The first fire will tell the tale, but at this point, it looks right to me. And the price was right.

Robin and Jesus came in on time. They were polite and professional. The repair was completed in an hour. Looks better than it did before. I thought they only did chimneys but they seem to see any job with brick and mortar to be a walk in the park. I plan to use them again for future projects.

Great! Professional, on time and reasonable. The gentleman who owns the company couldn't have been more patient and helpful with all my questions. He even told me what questions to ask other contractors I had bidding on other projects. They were amazing!

It was fine. The service was fine. I had to try multiple times to reschedule because the schedule filled up quickly. We had to move it several times. It was kind of on both sides.

They did a good job. I was very pleased. I would recommend them highly.

The cleaning service they gave seemed to be fine. They identified that the old flue damper was falty and needed to be replaced, which they did on the spot for $500 (I saw a coupon for this for $475 from another company, so the price seems reasonable). They were quick, efficient, courteous. However, their inspection did not catch a major safety issue that came to light when I had additional companies come out to give estimates on fixing the chimney crown (work they had recommended). It seems the flue liner needs to be replaced as it is crumbling inside the chimney. This can be a major hazard as carbon monoxide can seem into the house through the cracks in the crumbling flue liner. Had the wind storm not blown off the crown of our chimney, prompting us to get estimates for repair work from additional service providers, this may have gone unidentified for a long time... and given it can have such serious health complications, I am disappointed that this was not identified during this original inspection.

They were punctual and tidy. Recommended some repairs, but not pushy about it. Cleaned the area well.

Minimum effort needed to clean chimney. Examined chimney firebox, smoke chamber, and chimney stack with only visual inspection...no camera. Gave lots of warnings about possible fire hazard if we were to use chimney befor repairs were made. Examined outside shoulder of chimney brickwork and top tier courses of bricks but never went on roof. The gentlemen were friendly and courteous but priced the repairs way too much and didn't explain extent of costs for the materials provided. After they left, I never received a follow-up for work and did not hire this company. Found another company who provided a camera inspection of the internal firebox, smoke chamber,and visual inspection of stack from the roof. Not recommended.

Excellent service. Did exactly what I needed and provided info on other chimney work that either I could do or I could hire out. Seemed honest and trustworthy.

Service went as expected. The two man crew were on time and got to work fast. The chimney looked great and was ready for the fall/winter. Would definitely use them again.

I had Capitol Chimney come to re-line my oil burner flue & to make some repairs to my fireplace?s ?smoke chamber.? It was not a good experience. After they left, I realized that the oil burner was not on. It was a cold night & Capitol Chimney was closed at this point, so I called my oil company. They had to come out after hours to re-start the boiler, for which they charged $150. I called Capitol Chimney the next day to ask that they reimburse me the $150. I was told to speak with the owner, Roger. From the start, he was defensive, argumentative & belligerent, claiming that he was not responsible for the $150, but to send him the bill & he?d consider it. Several days later, a different company came to service the gas logs in my fireplace. They had worked fine the evening before Capitol Chimney had come to work on the fireplace lining. When the technician turned on the gas logs, a large fireball came out of the ?intake manifold?, burning his arm hair. He did not attempt to fix the unit, advising that I should call Capitol Chimney to try to have them resolve the problem. Roger had been very reluctant to reimburse the $150 charge from my oil company. He flatly denied that his crew had anything whatsoever to do with my gas logs working improperly. Nonetheless, his office called to tell me that Roger would be coming by to give me a check for $150 & to look at the gas logs. The person who called me was very polite. But when Roger came, his attitude was the same as it had been when I spoke with him on the phone. He called the oil company & argued with them, saying that he was not responsible for the boiler not working after his crew left. So, even though I had been told that he would be reimbursing me $150, he was still arguing about it. Forget about the gas logs, because there was no way I could prove that his crew had done anything to damage the unit. I have always relied on Angie?s List to find contractors to work on my home, & I will continue to do so. But, you can sometimes run into a company that is not as good as it is cracked up to be, especially when things don't go as expected. I think that then is when the real worth of a company is shown. Before leaving, Roger said to another contractor working at my home: ?Be careful.? I told him I had had many different contractors work on my home in the last several months, & I did not have a dispute with any of the others. He seemed to want to continue to argue with me, so I asked him to leave.

I purchased the deal thinking I could use it to get the chimney to my furnace fixed. However the deal was for a traditional chimney. The operator was very courteous and discussed options for getting it corrected. They also suggested the time frame where this service would be the most cost effective. I really appreciated the help and the advice.

I purchased the big deal for three hours for handyman work and made appointment but I had to cancel the work because Mike does not handle the outside work. He was very professional and very responsive to my phone call to set up an appointment.

Good for me not much had to be done, so basically I was charged for them to come out and tell me that.

Great cleaning job. They left a quote to fix masonry issues that was very high but may have been needed. They did say that what they quoted was for everything and i could piece it out if needed.

The sweep was performed as advertised. In our after action review I felt as it was a sales pitch which is somewhat to be expected. Other than that no complaints.

The cleaning and inspection were fine. They found some issues but we ultimately went with a different provider to fix the problems.
