It was quick and he was knowledgeable and friendly. He late which I didn't have an issue with because I had no plans for that day, but I wish that they would of informed me that he was going to be late instead of me having to call.

Great! Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and tidy! The office called to confirm the appointment one day prior and the driver called again 30 minutes prior to arrival. I work from home and was with a client during their chimney sweep and repair. The team's work was seamless and barely interrupted my own work with my client.

Abraham and his associate were great! They got to my house when they said they would, removed their shoes at the door, and got right to work cleaning my chimney and fireplace. They were so thorough, they even vacuumed an old log that was left in there. Abraham explained everything to me, including how to extend the life of what I have, and how it all worked.

Extremely well. They were very responsive through the whole process and did a great job. They also showed me pictures of the work they did.

The provider arrived late. When the provider arrived, the entire visit, from pulling in to the driveway to pulling out lasted 12 minutes. They did not perform a safety inspection and did not seem to perform an acceptable chimney sweeping. They did not go on the roof to examine the chimney - only arrived and performed work from the inside of the house for a few minutes. I called and emailed to ask if a 12 minute service is normal and they indicated that 12 minutes is normal for a prefab chimney... I would not recommend this service from this company to others. If you want a thorough chimney sweep and an actual safety inspection, consider another company. This promotion was not convincing that this company deserves additional business from me or others with a prefab chimney who want to get real service. I contacted Angie's List for a refund, but they did nothing since I'm a regular member. The company would not provide a refund.

Abraham was excellent. Did a thorough cleaning, cleaned up very well, and gave me an estimate on some work that need to be done on the Chimney itself. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

It went well. Overall I am happy with them and plan to hire them again. Very happy with the service.Good guys, punctual and professional. They clearly knew what they were doing. With respect to the lower than "A" grades: I gave a B on responsiveness because they took a long time to call me back when initially scheduling it. I gave them a B on professionalism because they did not do a great job protecting and keeping clean my white painted brick. It's possible that there is no way to keep it clean, but they should have discussed that with me before proceeding to ruin my fireplace hearth area. They also suggested additional work that will cost me a bunch more. I think they are right and plan to purchase the additional service (coating the inside of the chimney to deal with some gaps where smoke can accumulate and potentially raise a safety issue). However, I don't know enough about it to know whether or not it's a necessary up-sell. With the coupon it's a bit suspicious, but I"m cool with it. Best of luck!

The company did not respond to The Angie's list purchase The company did not respond to my emails inquiring about the service The phone number for the company rang and rang and rang no one ever answered Angie's list did not respond to my inquiries via email After repeated phone calls someone finally answered the phone two weeks after the original purchase I set up the time for another five days away and had the service done The gentleman who came out to the house were very professional and did a very very good job Had it not been for the complete lack of communication I would've rated them excellent PS they claimed they never heard from Angie's list as their excuse however they had no excuse for why their website did not work properly and why their phone system did not work properly

I'd give them A across the board. They were on time and punctual. They left the house very clean. They didn't make a mess. My interaction with them was pleasant. The work was very good. It's a good chimney sweep.

The owner of Capitol Chimney, Roger Velasquez, LIED to me by saying some of his technicians are Chimney Safety Institute of American (CSIA) certified. I checked the CSIA website, [*** Link removed ***] and no one from Capitol Chimney is CSIA certified. Angie's List recommends using only CSIA certified chimney sweeps, so don't use this company. Roger Velasquez came to my house to do a Big Deal Chimney Sweep and Inspection and after discussing the job with him it quickly became obvious that he is an IDIOT and doesn't know what he is doing. Of course, I didn't have him do the job. Read the D and F reviews for this company because only those seem to be accurate. The Big Deal turned out to be a Big Steal.

They came promptly and relied the damages in my chimney. The gave a complete an thorough assessment and a budget to fix the situation.

It didn't. the office was extremely nice. they give a huge window for showing up but said they would call before hand. I received one call which I was in a meeting and missed. no messaged but I assumed it was them. I call right back for it to ring and go to voicemail which was not set up. I thought maybe this was not the guy. I waited then by 2 called the company to see and then got a call back from the inspector. saying he called me several times which was a complete lie and left message and I had zero voicemails. then instead of saying he can reschedule, he tells me he left brochures and just pick one with an attitude. I decided not to continue to bother with this company. very disappointed.

Capitol Chimney service did a great job replacing my chimney chase cover. They came out on a saturday to do the estimate. They were able to give me a price and take a deposit on the spot. They didn't try to overcharge me for things I didn't need because they said they could clean up and reuse the existing chimney cap, and would only have to replace the chase cover. The part had to be custom made but they were able to get it made in only a few days. They completed the project a little over a week after the estimate. They used stainless steel which looks great and hopefully should last much longer than theoriginal.

The work completed and the customer service was excellent. Everything was done on time and within the quoted amounts.

My wife and I decided to have a wood-burning insert installed and replace our stone fireplace facade with brick. Roger from Capitol Chimney arrived promptly, offered his professional advice and reasons for his choices, and answered all my questions on his initial visit. He let us know that they drove and picked up the wood-burning insert so they could quickly get started on our job. The crew from Capitol Chimney did a terrific job with the brick facade with quality masonry work. They also completed the job in 2 days, less than the 3 days Roger had initially promised. Given the quality of the work, professionalism, and price, my wife and I are completely satisfied and ecstatic with the work that Capital Chimney performed. We would recommend them to anyone.
