It went well. He did a good job. He did try to sell me a few things that I did not need, but he did do a good job over.

They made a mess and did not clean everything up. Of course said there needed work done but only provided pictures many days after the fact, so little could be discussed at the time.

My first conversation with Capitol Chimney Services was over the phone with their office assistant, who was just very professional and immensely helpful. This, As I was in desperate need to have a professional inspection of the chimney of a TownHouse I was in the process of buying. Due to unexpected issues on my end, Capital could not got into the property and I had to find a different chimney inspection company and pay more... Bottomline, out of the three BIDs I got to fix the Chimney Capitol Chimney Services LLC was the lowest bidder. One bid was at over $12,000 and a second one for over $9,000 both felt like highway robbery. I had a very positive conversation with Roger their crew and site manager, who was very professional and reassured me that Capital Chimney Services would do a amazing job without over charging. Today their amazing crew finished the work and I felt that I needed to share with everyone at Angie's List that if you need any work on your Chimney/Fireplace you can put your trust on Capitol Chimney Services LLC.

It went very well. They performed a complete inspection after the cleaning. Found some things I should do before burning any wood and things that should be done but weren't a danger. Provided estimate and follow up.

It went pretty good. They cleaned my chimney and gave me some pretty good advice. My flue was a little out of whack and they fixed that at no additional charge. The Big Deal price covered everything. They were very neat and there wasn't anything for me to clean up. There was no mess. I think before next winter, I will have them come out again.

Great! We didn't need to be home. I was offered a chimney inspection at a reduced rate, though I declined. Chimney cap was supplied and installed without issues. All I had to do was say, "I think it's a standard size, but I don't know. It looks square." Chimney cap has a lifetime guarantee.

Work was not performed because Capital Chimney did not service our area. They came up in a search based on our address which is no fault of their own.

The Company did not have weekend appointments available in our area on the weekends. They stated they would for sure be in our area on a weekday between 9am-1pm in which my husband took a full day off of work to have the services performed. I contacted the company at 1:45 pm to find out why nobody had shown up and long story short, the very kind and professional secretary informed me that she did not know what happened but that a technician could come prior to 4:00 pm. Having two children to pick up at different locations (hence the reason we wanted a weekend appointment but settled for an early weekday appointment) this would not work for us. I called to request a refund and it was granted.

Due to the cold weather conditions, it was recommended by the Contractor to wait until Spring.

i scheduled estimate with company and started scheduling things around it. a few days before appt, their office started leaving voicemails, claiming they had misscheduled me and asking to reschedule, i was unable to oblige their request. but i called them offering to allow them to come in the morning (on the day to which they wanted to reschedule) but then didn't receive a return call, so called to reconfirm our original appt. then the company called me yet again to try to reschedule to time they wanted (which i had already told them i couldn't give to them), then said their tech would call me in the morning. then the tech called (and woke me up) the morning of appt asking if they could come that morning, in about an hour. because they had woken me up, i was confused about the time - but then called them back to oblige their request. when they finally came, a different man from the company unilaterally refused service, claiming that i had previously refused them. i do not recall having previously contacted this company -- but found that scheduling this visit was an unduly onerous exercise in futility.

They were on time, worked professionally and were very protective of our home while they worked. The job turned out more complicated than they expected,but they did not upcharge us. They followed up to make sure the chimney drafted properly (which it did).

The team arrived promptly at 9a and began to work immediately. They asked if there additional questions or concerns about the system. They showed me where we would potentially need work, provided estimates and discussed next steps (timeline).

I was home when they came. My wife had already cleaned out the fireplace. They told her she just did a big part of their job. They were very professional and worked hard for their money. My chimney was dirty (2 years). They pushed to fix the fire brick but were polite when I refused. I would definitely hire them again.

I contacted the business to set up an appointment, and they came out in a few days. It wasn't necessary for me to be there. They also gave me an estimate of some minor repairs that can wait till spring.

All went well. The team of two was efficient and friendly. They arrived early and were very gracious and were quick to move furniture as needed.. My only disappointment was that they made no effort to cover their shoes or ask if I would like they to do so. As I have an expensive carpet I was concerned. However, in the end, no damage was done. I would hire them again -- and provide booties.

Excellent! They were extremely informative and aided this new homeowner in explaining the functionality of our chimney insert and how to maintain our chimney and fireplace.
