Jeff and his crew came with all the heavy equipment, tools exactly at 8:30AM as he committed. Since our maple to be cut was very big, closed to the sloping foundation and the electrical wires, they handled very carefully with multiple trimming/pruning before taking down the trunk and finally cutting the stump. They were extremely caring and professional with each sub-task. When the job is done, the crew hauled all the brush and broom cleaned the foundation. Jeff himself worked with and supervised the crew. Before signing the contract with Jeff, we had called three other tree service professionals who either named the price more than twice the price we pay to Jeff, or refused to take up this difficult task.

The only issue I had is that they did not send me a bill instead they chased me for the payment. This was at a time when I was overwhelmed with work issues and had a very sick parent to care for so it was a major issue trying to get them satisfied and paid. I wish they had just billed me. They did not mention this billing practice so it was a surprise

Jeff and crew of four, including the subcontracted crane operator, showed up on time at 8:00 AM and were done by 5:00 PM. Jeff and the crew were professional and polite - something my wife especially appreciated. The crew was careful of our outdoor art, driveway, stone walls, and occupied birdhouses. They put down plywood and carpeting to ensure there were no marks on the driveway from their trucks and crane for example. We experienced little damage (couple of daffodils in the way) despite extensive work over the house and among flowers. We really liked that the wood was being used - not wasted. Jeff found that our neighbors wanted the woodchips, crewmembers took wood to burn at home, and some logs were taken to a mill for lumber. This minimized waste and allowed Artistic to give us a lower price than competitors.

Things went quite smoothly. Jeff popped by a day or so after I called him, checked out our needs and talked me through things to consider. I wondered about removing the cedars completely as our home inspector said they were too close to the house but jeff assured me that they were growing straight and stable and the roots wouldn't damage the house. He suggested just pruning a bit more but not taking down. That was welcome advice. Also was quite happy to plant a new tree for me in place of one I didn't like and gave me lots of options of trees to consider for the spot. Ultimately we went with a weeping cherry. He bought it and planted it for me. Looks great.

Jeff came to the house to give us an estimate the day after we called. He was running late do to a job he was doing that day but called to let us know in a timely manner, which we greatly appreciated. Jeff is very, very knowledgeable about trees and was very good in helping us decide whether or not to remove the Cherry tree or just prune it and wait another year to remove it. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about his work and is great to work with. He gave us many suggestions on what to replace our Cherry tree with and he will be coming back to plant it for us at the right time in the season. When we asked him if he'd pick out the best specimen for us, because he seemed to know just exactly what to look for in a new tree, he eagerly agreed and gave us a ballpark figure of how much we should spend and specifics about what he would look for in his purchase. He refused to plant it before the optimum time so that we had the best chance for a first healthy growing season. The crew came two days later and went to work immediately. They were swift, clean, and courteous. The total job took approximately 2.25 hours and the result is fantastic. The gentleman that prunes the trees has a real gift for his work and he is very quick as well. As I watched him, I was amazed at his skill and his artistic eye. Our Maples look terrific, balanced and make our home look like it has been framed by these two trees. Jeff was excellent at following up with me regularly throughout the job to be sure I was satisfied with their progress. I was impressed that he spent the first few minutes on the job explaining everything we had asked to be done with his crew. They then went to work in pairs and did exactly what we wanted. I was also very impressed with how they paid attention to the details at clean up time so that my yard looked cleaner than when they arrived.

I was so happy that I used them. They came in on time and they were able to cut the tree down that was a seventy-five foot tall hickory that was five feet away from my house without damaging my house. He also had his men hand-move all the excess lumber to the street and they were also able to cut the wood into fireplace-sized logs for me, and they stacked them for me as well. I would recommend this company to anyone; they were extremely nice and the owner worked alongside his men.

Very easy. The owner, Jeff, was friendly and flexible about scheduling a time for an estimate and doing the work. He was prompt for both, and did not require me being home to do the work. Clean up was thorough, and price extremely competitive.

Geoff responded immediately to each phone call, gave us the best estimate for the job, and his crew was excellent.

They came promptly and did a very excellent job and cleaned up there mess and were great to work with. I would recommend them and they seemed to know what they were doing.

Jeff was quick to return our call and promptly came by to give us an estimate. He really knows his trees and really cares about keeping them healthy. Artistic was the first estimate we got (of three), but they beat the other estimates without us having to call and see if they could go any lower. What we really appreciated was Jeff's candor when he said if we got an offer that he couldn't match or beat, he'd let us know which company's work he trusts more. The Artistic crew came out as scheduled, completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves; other than the missing trees, you never would have known they had been there. We would highly recommend Artistic and would definitely use them for future tree-related needs.

Jeff gave me an estimate last Friday for the work. He arrived with an assistant early the following morning and completed the work that day. The areas where he worked were left debris free. He did an excellent job on trimming the three trees and discussed each one with me. I wanted to place a brick patio between two of the trees and he advised against it (strongly). He then took the time to discuss removing old Leland Cypress across the front of the yard and gave recommendations for replacements. Jeff is very knowledgeable and professional.

We first used Artistic Tree Experts in 2005, to remove 5 very large trees on our property that were damaging our foundation/dying; and also to prune a massive oak tree on our property. We got bids from several tree services but not only was Jeff the most prompt and courteous, he gave us an excellent price and his references (which we did check out) were stellar. The price including the tree removal/pruning as I've mentioned above, as well as the grinding and hauling of mulch. Because we had such a great experience with Jeff, this year, when we needed a tree trimmed, we called only him. Sure enough, he returned the call on time, gave us a great price again, and finished the job promptly and beautifully. In addition, when we asked for a copy of his insurance, he not only showed it to us, but gave it to us to hold on to while the job was being done (the first time). That speaks volumes for the level of trust he inspires!

Artistic Tree Experts was the first of several we called and from the beginning they made the biggest impression. I explained the job and that we were renovating a house. Jeff recommended that we wait until all the renovations were done before doing any yard work and other helpful suggestions then told us to call back if he could help. After other tree services called with their bids, we decided to go ahead and take the trees down before birds started nesting and called Jeff back to ask for his bid. He turned out to be the lowest and because of the previous helpfulness we went with him. Jeff and crew arrived at the appointed time and made short work of the trees being extremely careful to avoid all the cables buried within inches. A few hours later his brother, and company arrived to grind out the stumps. In less than a day the trees were cut, hauled out, debris swept and the ground stump mulch left behind for us to use. Great Experience! Highly recommended!
