A T & R TRAPPING SERVICE

Description of Work: I called them about getting rid of mice. The guy arrived late, did not have a GPS and got lost. He was very nice and knew a lot about critters. He did identify ways the mice were coming in the house, but wanted over $2,000 to close the holes. That seemed outrageously high for what is simple work. So I hired another contractor to do the work, and they only charged $500! It took 2 workers only 3 hours to get all of it done. ATR charged by the item, not by the hours worked, so it raised the price way too high. I might call on them again to identify access routes to critters, but not to do the work of closing access routes, unless they bring their prices way down. I paid him $150 for identifying the problem areas.

Description of Work: AT&R did an inspection and a test to confirm that something lives under our house. We did not pursue the trapping but we will use AT&R when we decide to. They were very responsive, prompt, easy to schedule, knowledgeable, and polite. I would have confidence in their work.

Description of Work: Paul attended to the problem we had (hearing noise in walls). He set traps in the basement closet and checked them for about seven days. He installed galvanized metal to the attic exhaust fan. He screwed ends of the ridge vent to the roof. Finally, Paul screened the gable end vents. |We were very pleased with the service we received from Paul.

Description of Work: A squirrel had become trapped in my chimney. I thought it had escaped, but called for help to make sure. Initially, they came to attempt a rescue, if needed. Unfortunately, the squirrel had died, so it became a retrieval. Subsequently, their representative did a survey of my house to see where other points of entry for animals might be and recommended various types of work to prevent entry by wildlife. While doing that, he discovered that some animal (probably a raccoon) had at some time pushed in the screen of the attic fan and entered the attic. He put tape in place that would capture evidence if a creature were actively using that entrance and came back several days later to check it. I then had them do the recommended preventive work.

Description of Work: We were awakened by a raccoon that got into our attic. We called A. T. & R first thing the next morning and they were out at our house that afternoon to begin the process of "evicting" the animal. They inspected the entire outside of the house (including the roof) as well as the attic. They were able to determine the animal gained access through the roof. They put forth options that we had and then started the process of trapping the animal (in a humane trap). We felt had no choice bec. our roof was in terrible shape and needs to be replaced. They were successful in trapping the animal and removing it from our home. At a rather small cost (in addition to the trapping/removal fee) they repaired the extensive damage the raccoon did to the roof. They did a beautiful, professional job!

We finally decided to try this instead, and it was a great decision. Phil looked all over the house, inside and out, and figured out where they were getting in. He proposed a solution.

They put some screens on our gable end vents on our roof and caulked and filled in around holes in the garage. The installing of the screens was a recommendation they made for us, and that was an extra charge.
