Very well the orginal garage door replacement had one spring based of the size of the garage door two springs recommeded

Service went well however home warranty policy didn't cover. I wish I was told that when I called in the claim. I could have shopped for other vendors and probably gotten a better rate. Sort of a catch 22 situation.

It went very well. Yemi was very personable and patient and was very professional. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. He completed the job very efficiently and left the area the way he found it. I liked the work done very much and I'm confident that it will last for a long time. This is my second time using 495, and I would use them again.

The technician arrived within the timeframe and dis the job. But I felt cheated because of the additional work he said that I have to do, which is Balancing the Door and straightening the left track, which will cost me $125. Since I thought that was some real work he has to do in addition to replacing the spring, I said OK. Apparently, he meant the balancing was to bring down the garage door down to the floor from the half way position it was in when the spring snapped. (The door was about 1 feet above the ground but not evenly rested.) The Left track he was to straighten was a tiny bend on the track in the bottom, for which he used a nose player to straighten it in one place. I told him that whatever he has done for that $125 is not justified, he said, I should have asked him what he was going to do for that extra change and I am paying for his knowledge. As a technical person myself, I would try to do justification for the money I charge. But the technician doesn't look like he cared...

Everything went very well. They were very responsive when I called and gave me a quote over the phone. The actual cost was consistent with the quote. The work was done very professionally. The honored the Angie's list coupon as well.

The repairman, Mike Goodman, was great. He was on time, friendly and completed the work timely. I would definitely use this company again if I have garage door problems.

I have gave them a time frame, a 4 hrs window and they are still not here. I have called them, and confused me with another customer in a different address. A. very confused company.

Eli fixed a broken garage door with precision and a smile: Professionalism: the first person I spoke with (Sarah) probably could've done the work. Her technical knowledge and willingness to quote estimated fees was refreshing. I was given the 2pm to 5pm window a few days earlier. At 2:30pm, Sarah called to say that the tech was running behind and that it would be closer to 5pm or possibly a little later. I really appreciated the honest and proactive update as it allowed me to plan my day, including a quick dinner with my family. At 5pm I received an e-mail AND a phone call from the tech (Eli) that he was on his way. Friendliness: Eli introduced himself with a genuine smile and eye contact. He even waited respectfully for me to be ready to join him before entering the side door to the garage. Eli is the tech you're always hoping you'll get on a service call with any service company. I actually enjoyed hanging out with him while he completed the work. Great guy. Quality: Eli is a pro. He explained things as he went and even told me what to expect from the start, including the fee for parts and labor needed. I watched him make the repairs with precision, care, and great attention to detail. I felt I was receiving the same quality service he'd provide to his own family. He even spent a few extra minutes lubricating all hinges, rails, and springs AND patiently helped me program my Homelink buttons in both cars. The type of thing you'd expect a tech to roll his eyes at or just refuse to do, even though it only takes 5 minutes. I'm a customer experience speaker and consultant and I'm here to tell you that this company and this team is as good as it gets. We had 495 Garage Door come out to repair our garage door on the advice of a neighbor, and we're very pleased we called them. The technicians, Eli and Thomas, clearly had deep knowledge regarding garage doors and knew what we needed in just a few moments. They were also transparent about what the work installing a torsion spring would entail, and explained why the previous installer had put the wrong hardware on our door. 495 Garage Door also called several times throughout the process, including scheduling, confirming the appointment, and letting us know when the ETA was more definite. Would hire 495 Garage Door again.

I was put in contact with 495 Garage Door Inc through my American Home Shield insurance. My garage door was acting up mainly when my wife was home alone, which caused her some stress, I had others look at it and do various repairs but the issue kept occurring. Originally, the 495 technician, Avi, came out to assess the problem, he identified that the lower panel had buckled slightly, that it wasn't braced properly, and the door was very cheap model half steel/half plastic and not insulated. It was the original door that had been installed when the house was built 17 years ago, and was the cheap 'contractor grade'. Avi explained the whole door should be replaced by an all steel insulated door that met my HOA rules. He showed me a couple of samples and the Clopay Door seemed to be the best option for us and perfectly fitted the HOA's visual rules. The door was ordered and within less than a week was contacted by the nice scheduling lady at 495 to arrange for the installation. 'Eli' turned up right at the start of the appointment window and went to work straight away. He worked fast and efficiently and made the job seem easy. It was obvious he knew what he was doing! Unfortunately one of the new door panels had a dent at the edge, Eli only discovered this after taking it out of it's packaging. He brought to my attention immediately and said he he could still complete the installation but would have to order a new panel and come back to replace the dented panel and it would be no extra charge. He completed to installation, demonstrated the new door to me and gave me some hints and tips about not having rakes and tools standing near the tracks as they can fall and interfere with the door operations and possibly damage it. Eli took way the old door cleaned up after himself, sprayed and wiped down any dirt or hand marks that occurred during installation , and informed me that he had already contacted the office and the new panel had been ordered and they would be in contact with me to arrange for installation. 495's scheduling lady contacted me within a week to arrange for the panel replacement, it was during the holiday season and we had house guests so it it was not convenient, after all the door was functioning perfectly. So she worked with me and we eventually scheduled the panel replacement in late January. Eli came back to replace the dented panel once again he turned up right at the start of the appointment window, got straight into it working quickly and efficiently and had the panel replaced in no time! Once again he cleaned up after himself wiped and cleaned down the entire door did some fine tuning adjustments on the motor, adjusted the rubber strip at the bottom so it was sealing correctly when closed. I was wholly pleased with my experience with 495 Garage Door Inc. from the scheduling to the prompt expert service. Thank you 495 I am very happy with your service and especially thank you Eli, you are a consummate professional!

This company's response time was absolutely phenomenal--within a couple of hours. Our service technician, Yemi, was very knowledgeable and congenial. All it took for Yemi to diagnose the problem was for him to press the garage door switch one time and hear the sound coming from the opener. Twenty minutes for of adjustment and it was working like new. Based upon my experience with 495 Garage Door I would absolutely recommend them for garage door and opener service.

495 is very responsive-- called and came when they say they will. David quickly and efficiently repaired the motor and I can now park in my garage. We've used 495 previously for past issues and they are honest and reliable.

Adjusted the spring and oiled all the hinges. He sounded like he was required to up-sell us more services, but he did it in such a way that it was clear we didn't need them. He walked us through what we would need to oil all the hinges in the future, which he didn't need to do.

Went well. Eli showed up within the time window, explained what had happened to the existing opener and gave us my options. We went with a replacement unit which was installed in a timely manner and is functioning correctly. Eli also set up the home link on our newer car. I will use 1 of the 2 provided remotes for my older car. Pros Eli was a perfect professional. He was clear, precise and did the exact work he said he would do. Everything was cleaned up and he took the old unit away for disposal. Somehow the work order had an incorrect phone number for me. This is extremely odd since the company did call me to set up the appointment in response to my completing their contact form. When Eli could not reach me on the phone due to the wrong phone number on the work order, he came out to the house anyway and rang the bell. A+ for doing the right thing instead of saying, oh well, not making the appointment and wasting my time waiting. Cons The unit was a little pricier than I expected it to be. (Exactly what Eli stated though when given my options). I was at least hoping for a discount because of Angie's list membership. Not a major issue. Still awaiting the invoice showing paid in full since I paid by check. I have 2 emails so far, 1 with a zero dollar amount and 1 showing a balance of $550.00. We noticed this prior to Eli's leaving and he appeared to send the updated (paid) invoice but I have not yet received it. This is probably an email issue on my end and so if I do not receive it during the next day, I will contact the company for a new copy.

I'd give them a "B" for overall and price. I'd give them an "A" for everything else. I would also use them again.

The Technician arrived, and immediately found out the garage spring broken. He told about $299 and I said go ahead. The Technician installed the item, performed the garage tune-up. After he left, found out the technician forget to tune the garage door key pad entry. They never send any technician to tune the garage door key pad entry. Now on friday 10/20, the garage door is not getting operated at all. I have to close the garage manually. Will reach out to them on 10/23 to send the techinican
