Wiring for Garage Door Opener had gotten snagged in the drive chain rendering garage door inoperable. Roman Davis of 495 Garage Doors was great. From the time he arrived at the house, he went to work diagnosing the problem and offered a workable solution that would prevent the same issue from reoccurring. He worked fast as well. What I also appreciated is that he looked at my garage door system (3 bays) and offered a quote for additional work. I appreciate this proactive step because of the recommendation before it becomes a problem. 495 Garage Doors is affordable, and provide great workmanship. In fact, this is the 2nd time I've used them because of the quality job they did replacing my garage door springs. Will definitely use them in the future as my go-to source for garage door repairs.

I called to set up an appointment. The technician came within the allotted time frame. He actually called to inform me he was 5 minutes away. Roman was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. We had a very positive experience with Mike for a tune up and Eli for an install. There was a little trouble with the administrative side of things for the new door (price for initial quote was wrong, office taking a few days to return emails, etc.), but we worked everything out in the end and we are very happy with our new door. Both of the technicians we used, Mike and Eli, are extremely professional and pleasant and called in a timely manner before arrival. In our experience, the garage door companies that we called for quotes use the same product. Take the time to get a couple of quotes and the companies will match.

One of our extension springs snapped at around noon. I called a bunch of repair places and got a wide array of quotes a few days out. These guys not only gave the best quote, but were able to get out to me within a few hours that same day. I ended up replacing all 4 extension springs, since the other three were clearly at the end of their life. David Ben-Shoushan was an amazing professional—replaced all 4 in about 20 minutes and performed a basic maintenance check on both doors. Next time my doors need work, I'm calling these guys and asking them to send David!

The service technician was excellent knowledgeable and thorough. The service desk staff was callous and not compassionate. It is like talking to a machine. Would suggest having a 2 hour window for scheduling.

Eliah came in the middle of our first winter storm. He was polite and helpful. I appreciate him making the extra effort to come after hours in the cold. My thank you's and hot chocolate isn't even enough.

I used an Angie's List Deal to get a great price to replace two springs on a 16' wide garage door. They schedule service for the next day between 4 and 7 PM. I was called about 10 minutes the service man arrived at 4:15. Very timely, courteous, and efficient. The springs were replaced for $175 as per the deal. In addition, a part of the closing mechanism needed to be replaced after being severely damaged when the spring broke and the door slammed closed.

Before going out, I specifically advised them on a recorded line that I am the only one with the authority because I don't want to waste money on a repair for a garage door which is 10 years old . But I had to rush my dog to a vet due to an emergency and they proceeded with the repair anyway and when I asked about how much it would cost me a new door, they end up advising me the limitations of a brand new door, totally ignoring my concern for the cost of a new door. And they said that the tenant gave an approval, so they proceeded and charged my tenant and so I had to reimburse my tenant. They said "You have to coordinate with your tenant." The main thing is they totally ignored what I said that I am the only one with the authorization. I will not use them again.

It was an excellent experience. Sarah, the owner, was very responsive to our needs and contacted me several times on the weekend to ensure that all would be set for a Monday morning repair. Walter was the engineer that was sent and he was cordial, amiable, and extremely professional. He explained the process and the repairs thoroughly. Truly outstanding experience and I'm very pleased with Walter and 495 Garage Door.

We hired 495 through our home owners warranty company. He came out last week and seemed to fix it. The next day it stopped working. He told me that I should buy a new garage door belt and chain ($800) because mine is old and doesn't have the safety lights at the bottom of the door (not sure what the belt and chain have to do with the safety lights). I told him I wasn't interested in replacing my garage door opener because it works with both buttons and the remote. He came back today and again tried to sell me a new opener despite the fact that it works perfectly well, except from the key pad, the key pad that works perfectly well with the other garage door. He said it was a communication problem between the pad and the box on the wall and again tried to sell me a new garage door opener. I told him, in no uncertain terms that I am not buying a new garage door opener. I then told him we are done and to go away. I have no idea how long this "fix" will hold. They are clearly more interested in sell hardware than fixing anything. I suggest you never use these people unless you are interesting in replacing your hardware.

Person arrived when scheduled. presented good business card. verified with warranty company that pays l parts were covered and went straight to work. Springs replaced in no time but there gear needed to be ordered. but we can open the door manually to park our cars with no problem. will call when part is in and replace in a week.
