I was happy with the website showing me options for doors and the scheduler even called me to walk me through the options (though that was not needed). Scheduling was not as good. They did not realize that this was going to be a door that needed to be ordered at the time of placing the order, so if timing was important to me, it would have thrown off the schedule. Luckily I didn't care about timing. Also, I do not think they made it clear that the schedule window was so long but that could have been my mistake so I won't dock them for it! The door was great and the installation was flawless. When the installers were out, they gave me an estimate for a new garage door opener but were not pushy at all.

They gave me recommendations on what the problem was and what I needed to do. They were courteous, efficient, and I appreciated their honesty.

The service went very well. It was quick and non-problematic. A recommendation was also given about another needed repair not related to the one at hand, how to deter future problems, and associated cost. Service probably took about 20 minutes all total. Overall, I was very pleased and my garage door was back operational.

The service required two visits. On the first visit Eli replaced the springs for the door, adjusted the track and repaired a broken attach point on the door. Service was prompt and Eli explained what work was required. I was pleased with the results. Unfortunately, within three days of the initial visit the door safety sensor became intermittent, sometimes preventing the door from closing. A second technician, Ron, arrived a couple of days later and replaced the faulty sensor. I am pleased with the work performed by both technicians and will call 495Garage Door for all future work.

Despite their overbooked schedule, they made an emergency call to make sure my garage door would close properly following a concrete contractor's "gap" in driveway resurfacing job. Met with contractor, too, which I really, really appreciated to ensure professional coordination was in place. Turned out this was a garage door issue after all, and 495 Garage Door handled the job right there and then! I have only glowing things to say about this wonderful company -- from front office staff to the tech owner (in this case) who took care of the job. Their other techs are all good, too, I understand.

The service agent showed up very timely, quickly assessed the issue, reset sensors, made suggestions for garage storage and serviced the doors. Fast, knowledgeable, and I would definitely use them again.

Ron Ben-Shousha is a great service technician. He came the first time with an assistant to diagnose the problem that the garage door opener circuit board was damaged and needed replacement. A week later he came the second time to install the new part. He was on time. But due to an unexpected heavy traffic near my home, it was very nice of him to wait for 5 minutes outside before I reached home. He installed the new board and rotor quickly. He also checked on both doors and lubricated to make them run better. Ron is very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to help customers. I am very happy with his service. Will definitely use his service again and recommend him to my friends.

They came ahead of time, very professional and did a great job!

I had repair on my garage doors, guy came very late (but it's OK, things happen), then everything I asked for he was pricing way too high, there was a liver missing on the door, home depot price is $10, he charged me $35, to put the springs on the door he was asking $125 (Labor only) which I refused. I asked him to program my car to open the garage door and he asked me to pay for it. It just blow my mind. Previously I even didn't ask for it and guy who installed garage opener did it for me. Last but not least, I asked him to take the old opener with him, and he said, "I asked you earlier and you said, I'll keep it, now I am already in my van, I have put my tools in my van, "do you want me to come out of the car", I got scared that he is going to ask the money for it. I said, " No, thank you sir, I'll manage it".... weired service ever.

The service provider was friendly and professional. He provided additional information about the doors. The company squeezed my appointment in because of the wiring snapping. THANK YOU!

Ron, the service technician, arrived on time and promptly conducted an inspection of my garage door and made appropriate adjustments. He made verbal recommendations for replacing the door over the long term and indicated he would send me an estimate for that work. I have an old wooden door that is beginning to split at the bottom and does not seal completely at the bottom. I was very pleased with the service, from my initial call to the company through to the service. Everyone with whom I communicated was friendly and helpful. I would use this company again.

He came out and it didn't need a tune up. It wasn't going up and he didn't fix it. When I go back to Maryland, I will have to have it checked out and see what is going on. I wasn't there when he came out. They came out right away. He gave an estimate of what needed to be done, and it was outrageous.

Eli was wonderful, he explained all of our options to us including less expensive options. But we decided to go with the garage door opener replacement instead of repair, and a full tune up on both garage doors. Eli was very professional and did high quality work. Not only that, he reminded us of all the discounts that were available to us. It is very seldom that I run across such a high quality craftsman, and a person that has a great outlook on life!!! The technician arrived promptly and was very knowledgeable. We had purchased an Angie's List garage door tune-up special, for $125.00, which included replacing the rollers on one garage door. The company had also agreed to fix a cable on the other garage door at the same price. We realized before the technician arrived that the second garage door actually had a broken spring .and notified the company. When the technician arrived, he said the basic charge for replacing springs was $200.00 and that he would correct the squeak in the first garage door at the same price if it did not need rollers. As it turns out, the first garage door simply needed to replace a couple of missing screws. A little research shows that the cost of two springs versus ten rollers for a garage door are about the same and I estimate the labor to be less for installing springs so the additional $75.00 charge was excessive given the agreement I thought I had with them. That said, I still give them an overall A rating.

Initially provided a four (4) hour window for arrival and service. He arrived early in that window, introduced himself and confirmed with me what he would be doing. He diagnosed a particular issue and performed the corrective adjustments. He was courteous and efficient. I would definitely use this service provider again and would highly recommend them to anyone needing similar work done with their garage door.

I admit I wasn't expecting much, but I was wrong. We had a broken garage door opener that was covered under our home warranty. The warranty people initially assigned it to Sears home. Sears sent a tech who looked at the opener, declared the motor seized and promised to order a new one. I never heard from them again. When I called my warranty company back, they assigned it to 495 Garage Door. Less than a day later that were calling me to set up the job. Today, Ron came out, opened the unit, took measurements and found a burned out control board. He replaced the board and had me back in business in 20 minutes. Throughout the service, Ron was polite, knowledgable and explained how we could economically upgrade our very old doors. I frankly couldn't be any more impressed with the service I received from this company.

The team from 495 Garage Door couldn't have been better. It was easy to schedule an appointment--with incredibly friendly phone service--and the technicians called 30 minutes before arriving. Once here, the gentlemen spent time investigating why the garage door motor no longer seemed to have power (it's outdoors, so short-circuiting was the expected cause). We realized it was actually an electrical issue with the outdoor outlet. It didn't lead to bigger business for them, but it was the correct diagnosis and it saved my family money. That combination of service and integrity is hard to find, and I would recommend 495 to anyone.

The technician inspected and performed service on garage door. He gave me a full rundown of his findings and recommendations for either future maintenance and/or door replacement and the period of time in which the replacement might be required. He was punctual, professional, and efficient. I would definitely recommend this provider.

Excellent. Highly recommend them. We've used them twice, first to refurbish the garage door tracks and replace the rollers with new, quiet nylon ones; and later to replace the motor and drive chain. They were on-time, courteous, thorough, and professional; and cleaned up after themselves. And they didn't try to sell me springs or anything else; in fact, they told me to used the old springs until they break, then replace them.

They had come for garage door tune up and roller replacement. On seeing the problem with my garage door the technician said that the spring was broken and he wanted us to pay him $100 cash for changing the spring. Then he asked for another $25 cash for changing the rope that was hanging down. So my husband told him that he was charging too much and asked him to leave. So they owe me the $99 that I paid them through you.

Placed call on HMS warranty and provider was on vendor list. Came within 2 hrs. of call, what service! Eli arrived and was the consummate pro throughout process. Felt we were in good hands. He wanted to ensure we were happy following installation of new garage door spring and had me test garage door opener several times. Job has 6-mo. warranty. Will call again if needing garage-door opener work. A family-owned business, you'll have a good experience with Eli.
