Description of Work: Tightened screws on stair rails, fix running toilet, Fix fascia board on roof area tighten screws on deck and caulk front door area, less than an hours work. Charged for renting ladder that could reach three story roof.

+ -1 moreIn February 2008, we purchased a 30 year old 5 BR/6 bath home that needed a general makeover. We started with a contract for $19K to strip all wallpaper, repaint the entire interior, repair drywall, and replace several lighting fixtures. Rick proved to be extremely conscientious and honest in all of his dealings with us. Based on this positive experience, we had him return for additional work to renovate the main bath room, paint the exterior and install a new downdraft cooktop. Rick's estimates were fair, but not necessarily the lowest price that we could have found. However, there were no unpleasant surprises and the extremely high quality of his work left us very satisfied. He was very careful to consult on any extras before starting any work. For example, pressure washing revealed rotten wood on three shutters -- we had these replaced. Rick owns a small company and performs much of the work himself.
Description of Work: 1st contract: Removed wallpaper from six (6) rooms, repainted wall, ceilings, and trim in 19 rooms. Repaired drywall in three (3) rooms, removed old cabinets. Installed new cover plates, door stops, a ceiling fan, and three light fixtures. 2nd contract: Pressure washed and painted exterior wood - mostly trim since house is brick and aluminum siding. 3rd contract: Renovated main bath, new sinks, toilet, bathtub and surround, light fixtures, water faucets and controls. Installed a new downdraft cooktop and ran the vent piping through floor to exterior of house.
