+ -1 moreOur home air conditioning stopped working during a recent heat wave, and was not cooling the air at all. I contacted Mr. Skerritt's firm the next day, and was extremely pleased that (1) he was able to find time in his schedule later that day, (2) he arrived and completed the work within the 3 hour window we had available, (3) he identified the one fairly inexpensive part that needed replacing, and had the A/C up and running by the time he left. Polite, professional and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: Purchased and installed new HVAC system. We did not have central air and heat on the second floor (previously electric baseboard and window air conditioner) and he had to figure out a way to to bring it to the second floor. All but one other HVAC company that came to give estimates said it couldn't be done but Dave can think outside the box and I'm thrilled with the results. Also important is the fact that he was easy to work with and always here when he said he would be and would call when he couldn't make it.

+ -1 moreMr. Skerrit installed two new thermostats and a "burning unit." Everything worked for a few months but then we had an issue with one of the thermostats. The air conditioning and the heat were running simultaneously. The thermostat was defective. Mr. Skerritt came out 3 different times to fix the problem. We had to pay for these visits. He bypassed one of the switches on the furnace to alleviate the problem. We asked that he replace the defective thermostat. The thermostat was only 6 months old. He wanted us to pay for a new thermostat. We felt that there should have been a warranty for the part. Mr. Skerritt has stopped returning our phone calls so we are unable to resolve the problem.
Description of Work: We were advised (by a different company) that our gas furnace needed to be replaced. We turned to Mr. Skerritt for a second opinion. He informed us that we did not need a new furnace, but we needed two new thermostats and a new burning unit. He performed these services.
