Every project has concluded significantly — Improvement Zone even returned multiple times to complete several puzzling problems. Improvement Zone’s reliability and crews have earned our trust and loyalty. Core of service we’ve received are quarterly Home Pulse services that, in addition to scheduled services, has alerted us to approaching needs of our 47-year-old suburban house.

They are a fantastic, competent, loyal, friendly yet more importantly family business.

Superlative! Couldn't ask for better. Worked with owner on detailed initial contract (I like that detail), but details could be fine-tuned with foreman as the work progressed. Owner responded promptly to a couple modifications with cost implications that I needed as work proceeded. Foreman Richard, who did the majority of the work, was skilled and meticulous, as well as friendly and easy to work with. All crew were polite and pleasant as well as working to a high standard. Only the gutter was subcontracted; all other work was done by employees. The pressure washing was done by an in-house specialist with a big rig! It was a big job and took several weeks, but they worked every day it didn't rain; no gaps while they worked other jobs; I really appreciated that.

Improvement Zone installed 22 sheets of drywall for me on a job they bid as a three day effort. Instead of the crew I discussed with Nick, he sent a single guy who took 11 days. The end result was sub-standard drywall with two corners not taped, visible mesh tape in the corners and along several patches, and significant pores in the mud where an additional coat was needed. IZ's subcontractor failed to remove the trash and left a pile of drywall debris and a week and a half of fast food containers in the middle of my living room. When I called to complain, Nick personally came to touch up the work and called it done long before the job was "paint ready" as specified in the contract. I have spent hours trying to fix the sloppy work myself and it still looks terrible. Improvement Zone did make a small price concession, but not nearly enough to account for the poor quality work.

Nick and his team did an amazing job both on the insulation day and during the final test out. Jane worked with my schedule and made it all so easy. The crew was hardworking and respectful and left my house clean. My energy bills were reduced by about 1/3 after all the new insulation was in place. Energy zone submitted all the paperwork for me and BGand E sent me a check to cover half of the insulation cost.

Nick came out and spent over an hour of his own time figuring out the root cause of the garage light malfunction as it is on the same circuit as the installed driveway lights. The garage light burned out due to a manufacturing defect which Nick found. He removed the light, secured and sealed off the power lines and covered the box on his own time. The garage light was defective and the wires inside it had caught fire. I have ordered replacement lights which I will have Nick replace when they arrive. I have used Improvement Zone for several tasks around my home and the work is of excellent quality. I find the company easy to work with and their responsiveness to my problems has been outstanding, as demonstrated by this latest incident. I intend to keep using their services and recommending them to my friends.

I called Improvement Zone and left a message, they followed up with a phone call and, since they had done work for me before, an email. I explained what I needed and arranged a time for them to come out that was convenient for my calendar. The repairman (Nick) showed up on time. He inspected ever window in the condo, found one window spring that was broken and replaced it in ten minutes. I received an follow-up email describing their inspection, what they found, and the corrective actions they took to fix the problem. This will be very useful at closing.

We had many contractors out to the house to give us an estimate. Nick from Improvement Zone was the most professional in his interaction and follow up with us. He answered all of our questions promptly. He was the only contractor to supply his insurance information and to assure us that he would directly supervise all the work done on our house. All of the workers were extremely courteous and professional. They always cleaned up after each day of work. I had a structural engineer come out to the house to assure me that the work was done correctly, and he praised all the work that had been done.
