This was the first time we have sold a home and thus we were not quite sure what we needed to do to prepare our home for sale. Amy provided invaluable advice on what areas we should address prior to sale. We followed everyone. When we put the home on the market we were not quite sure what to ask, but Amy did the comps and recommended a price which we personally felt might be a little too high. Further, prior to sale, Amy staged our home. The home sold in less than 10 days and we actually got more than the asking price due to the high interest in the home. I was living out of town (in Tulsa) and knew I wanted to buy a house to move into when I returned to Maryland. Amy helped narrow down my search- she completely understood what I was looking for and where. She took the time to sort through, research, and pick out homes she thought I would love and posted them to the website for me. She was incredibly patient and after many phone calls and texts, I finally narrowed it down to five homes I wanted to see. Before I flew in to see the final five Amy visited the houses to make sure they were all worth checking out. I came into town for a whirlwind weekend of house hunting and was able to put in an offer on "the one" before I flew back to Oklahoma. During the house tours Amy was so helpful and understanding. Oops! She did it again. No, I?m not talking about Brittany Spears but I am talking about a Rock Star in Real Estate and that is Amy Faust. This is the second time we have worked with Amy in 5 years and she is as good now, if not better, than when we worked with her the first time. Jump all the way to the end because like I said, I was the first person to write a review of Amy 5 years ago. You won?t be sorry! When my one and only daughter was ready to buy a house late in 2015, we knew right away we were going to call Amy. We hadn?t spoken to Amy in awhile but once we made contact with her, it was like time had stood still and it seemed like only yesterday that we were together. You see, once you meet Amy and start to work with her, you?ll begin to think of her as family. And although you don?t always see family as often as you?d like, they?re still there when you need them. Once again, Amy was there for our family. Our daughter was looking at a new townhouse in Glen Burnie and Amy was there from the beginning, meeting with seller?s agent and going over all the details. After our daughter picked the house she wanted and chose all the upgrades and extras, a price was given to her and her fiancé. Amy reviewed the selling document and went to work. Amy was adamant about getting the house price reduced or something for free. Dealing with the seller?s agent was very challenging and she would not budge. She made it clear to us that we were already getting a good deal and buying a house is not like buying a car. Amy would not be deterred. She constantly went back and forth with the seller?s agent until she got the priced reduced by thousands of dollars. Keep in mind that the seller?s agent told us she would not negotiate on the price at all and that it was final. Well final isn?t always final when it comes to Amy. She is determined and tenacious and she wore the seller?s agent down. This is what you get when you hire Amy, only the BEST!!! Oh but the story doesn?t end there, the house still had to be built. All through the building process Amy was there. There are many ?walk thrus? when building a house and Amy was there for every one of them, pre dry wall, after drywall is hung, etc... Amy even went to the house a couple of weeks before settlement to look for problems and imperfections. Amy went through the entire house and placed ?blue tape? on all the areas that needed fixing or attention. Keep in mind that Amy didn?t have to do this but this is the type of dedication you?ll get with her. Nothing less than 110%, ever! Finally, the day of settlement came and we all sat down and went over the closing documents. While going over and signing the documents, there seemed to be a discrepancy in one of the charges that just didn?t seem right and the closing agent couldn?t explain it. Wouldn?t you know it, since Amy was at the closing, she was right on the phone to the seller?s agent getting it all straightened out. Amy?s work is never done! After closing, we all hugged and said our goodbyes figuring once again that life would get in the way of possibly seeing Amy as much as we had in the past months. Oh but once again, the story doesn?t end there. A few months or so after my daughter moved into her new house, the heat stopped working. She called the 24 hour emergency number and asked to have a technician come out to the house. The heating technician said there would be a $260 service charge. Since they had no heat, they agreed to it. The next day, my daughter e-mailed the builder inquiring about the charge and she copied Amy on the e-mail. Wouldn?t you know it, once Amy read the e-mail she was on the phone with the builder ensuring that my daughter would get her money reimbursed. Keep in mind, this was months after settlement. Once again, this is another example of how Amy goes above and beyond the call of duty. In the next few years, my wife and I will be looking to sell our current home and buy a new one and we?ve already alerted Amy that when the time comes, we will be contacting her. Don't be afraid. If you are seriously considering buying and/or selling a home, I strongly recommend Amy Faust. I found Amy on Angie's List in 2014 and read many glowing reviews. I sent an email, introduced myself and explained I was interested in selling my current home and purchasing another in one of three nearby areas in Baltimore County. My timeframe was to have my current home on the market by March 2015 and in a new home before winter. While I was optimistic, friends and family were not. Amy did not see a problem with my timeframe, even though several homes in my area had been on the market for many months. During her initial walk-thru Amy will view your home with a critical eye. This is not a time to be sensitive. She will make recommendations on upgrades and repairs aimed at getting the best price for the home. You are free to do as little or as much as you can, but the asking price and final selling price will reflect your efforts. On 'Staging Day', Amy brought a professional photographer, plants and some small accessories. She kicked off her shoes and would work tirelessly until a room looked exactly the way she wanted. Her re-locating and re-purposing my household items made my home look fresh and new. The resulting website pictures looked fantastic! My home went on the market in June and sold in 31 days! Because Amy had initially encouraged me to look at homes for purchase while preparing mine for sale, I was able to locate and purchase my new home before winter. Stressful, yes, but Amy was there for me every step of the way. She provides realistic and justifiable comps, timely follow-up and various avenues for communication. She's informative, works hard and is a tough negotiator. Amy will earn her commission but your relationship with her will be a true partnership. Educate yourself, ask informative questions and trust Amy to apply her skills and experience on your behalf. If you are serious, Amy Faust is your realtor.

We found Amy on Angie's List. There were many realtors with good scores, but her personal website made her sound like a good fit for us. This turned out to be true, and my husband and I feel so lucky that we found someone who understood just what we were looking for, even when we didn't quite know it ourselves. She asked all the right questions to find out what we needed and liked. Even though we are over 65, she did not pigeonhole us as "seniors" and try to steer us to retirement communities. We made several trips up from our home in NC and each time she took us to see a variety of houses in different neighborhoods around Annapolis. Between trips, she made sure that we got frequent email updates on available houses in our chosen areas and price range. She worked hard to get us the best price and concessions from the seller on a house that will maintain its value. She obviously loves her work, which is probably why she's so good at it. And last but not least, she's a fun person!

Amy was fantastic! She went through our house and made notes on what we should upgrade, what we should fix, or just leave alone. When we finally went to list, we got an offer in three weeks. Most of the houses in our neighborhood sat on the market for months. But because of the upgrades she recommended, we sold our house in no time. She kept us in the loop every step of the way throughout the escrow process, coming to the house to take care of things when we were unable to. She hires her own photographer and the pictures on all the real estate sites looked incredible. She does the staging for you too, so you can be sure the house will look great when it's time to list. What Amy Faust did for my daughter was nothing short of excellent. As an extremely sensitive dad who was almost teary-eyed to watch his only daughter purchase her first home, I knew that I had to manage my overbearing personality with Amy and let her do her job with my daughter. I purchased my town home three years ago from another Long and Foster agent based out of a different office. My agent suggested using Amy considering she was more familiar with the market and would be able to deliver a sale quickly. And BOY did she. After JUST 6 days on the market, I received 5 offers for my house and ended up getting more than what I asked for. You can't beat that!!! I truly believe Amy was the reason! From the start, Amy was honest and upfront. Amy did a thorough walk through and pointed out various things that needed to be completed/fixed. Amy was tough, but fair. She challenged me to get to the next level and really helped make sure my townhouse showed well. Amy even came in and helped set the place to make sure the house had a good feel to it. Amy's staging ability was miraculous and really helped make my townhouse stand out the competition. I think Amy's best asset was her ability to complete transform my place from a self-proclaimed bachelor pad into a fully functional home that looked neat and well kept. She then worked with us to finalize everything and ensure the closing went as smoothly as possible. As if this wasn't enough, she was also working with us to find the perfect new home. We told her where we wanted to look and Amy got us set up for listing updates by our specific needs. We saw many houses before "the one" was found and yet she always made me feel like I should take my time and not rush. If we had questions she either had the answer or got it quickly.
