Description of Work: The company called to set up a date and time to look at the driveway I wanted paved.The company never showed up for the appointment.

Description of Work: My driveway was in bad shape with cracks and dropped at the foot of the garage and sidewalk. The owner of E. Stanley Asphalt Paving came out within days of my call to assess the situation and provide an estimate. They had to dig up the driveway and put a new one down. They arrived on time and did a good job. The only downside to the job for the "B" quality was the few streaks I saw in the driveway. It was not as smooth as I thought it should be. I was told that a small driveway was difficult to get the streaks out but he would come back and take a look at it to make sure that I was completely happy. I am still waiting.

Description of Work: Seal coated my driveway. I call them back because the driveway was so slippery that my grandson fell; I wanted to know if it would stop being so slippery. They did not return my call. The seal coating came off in one spot.

Description of Work: We contracted for ESAPaving to remove our old driveway (over 130ft) and reshape/regrade before paving. As we were having a retaining wall built that would come in contact with the asphalt, Ernie Jr. suggested that he could do the removal and grading prior to the wall building and then come back to actually pave. There was a $500 fee for doing the job in 2 phases, but ESAP's price was better than one of the other Angie's list companies who also quoted for the work and, given the positive feedback and quality of other work ESAP had done in our neighborhood, we decided to go with them. Work started out on time and with good engagement. When the wall builder was done, I contacted Ernie to let him know that much of what had been laid in his first visit was disturbed during the wall build, but he was confident the second phase of the driveway would still be good as planned. It certainly looked great when his team drove away late last fall, but by the time the winter stormed had some through, the paving against the wall looked like a rollercoaster. When we contacted ESAP about standing by their work, they agreed to do the repair as long as we picked up the cost of the materials - another $150. That's been finished, but the driveway is no longer pretty and smooth. Further, we've been told by Ernie, Jr. that the sealing of the driveway, which we believed was part of the original cost, will be another $300. He also asked for the payments on the last 2 activities in cash. We're really disappointed that we didn't seem to have a good an experience so many others had.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate on installing a driveway. Ernie came to my home to provide an estimate. He was very thorough in explaining the driveway process. His price was very reasonable. However, we decided to go with another contractor. If needed, I would hire E Stanley Asphalt Paving.

Description of Work: The contractor has never contacted me, other than an email immediately after the purchase, saying that due to a malfunction at Angies List, they were not getting the customers' contact info. I immediately responded with all my contact information. Now, 10 days later, still no correspondence.
