E Stanley Asphalt Paving

Received an email that company was having IT issues but would call when resolved; never heard from the company.

Stanley Paving was prompt and called when they arrived. They cleaned the driveway carefully although we had swept it and were careful to clean the edges. They explained the process and answered our questions. We needed to pay extra as our driveway is larger than the deal covered, but that was explained clearly and was fine with us--it was a fair price given other estimates we had. The driveway looks great! Only one coat was needed. We would recommend Stanley Paving to others and would use them again.

Workers were friendly. They performed the job quickly. Driveway looks better. I'm more confident that it will withstand winter's wrath. My concerns: 1. Within 10 minutes of arriving, the crew chief asked for additional funds beyond what I paid for the Angie's List "deal." He indicated that the company would not be making little profit from the Angie's List deal and he asked for additional funds to cover his gasoline expenses. We haggled a little and I gave him the amount of money I had set aside beforehand for the crew's tip. 2. The crew did not wear any type of respirator mask to protect themselves from the oil-based asphalt fumes, which were significant. I was standing a little distance away from the spray, yet I felt the effects of the fumes (i.e., light-headedness & minor shortness of breath) in just a matter of minutes. As these guys breathe the fumes in all day, I strongly recommend that the workers be given respirators for use on the job. 3. It would have been more professional if the crew had taken the initiative to examine my driveway closely and identify the problems spots to me instead of me having to point out the smalls cracks to them and ask that the cracks be filled. My impression was that they were just going to do a quick spray job and hurry off to the next appointment. I guess all driveways look the same to them.

We didn’t. We didn’t hear from them that week. Angie’s List asked if we had heard back and if we were happy, and I replied that we hadn’t heard back yet. We started to wonder if we had actually paid for it. We checked our credit card account and saw that we did. Have been asked twice by Angie’s List of how it went so finally decided to give a report.

We made an appointment and they came on time. I was not present since I was told that is not necessary. I was called by the staff that my drive way is oversight and will need pay more. They gave me a value and I had to make my decision on the phone since all their crew were on site waiting for it. I gave them a go ahead. The pave work done very well. Would use them again. The only suggestion is if they can stop by to estimate the drive way size before appointment would be better. Maybe, just me, don't know my drive way size.

When arranging the service, I explained that the driveway had many cracks and was crumbling around the edges. I was not at home when they performed the service but they called when they arrived and let me know that the driveway really needed to be repaved and sealing it would be a short-term solution to the crumbling. They did seal it by hand to get the best coverage in the cracks. I thought they did a great job and when it is time to repave, I would call them first for an estimate.

We bought our house about a year ago and our driveway needed to be sealed. It took awhile to get ahold of Ernie, but after a few missed phone calls, we scheduled an appointment for his company to seal our driveway. I asked them if they could do seal it without us being home and they said it was fine, we just had to make sure the driveway was free of debris. When we arrived home our driveway looked very good, the workers put colorful tape across the driveway to make sure we didn't drive on it for 24 hours. I would work with this company again. Thanks!

The provider contacted me in the beginning, but did not schedule a date/time. Two months have passed and still no date after multiple attempts.

After a small glitch in trying to schedule the appointment, they showed up and did a very thorough job of sealing both our front and back driveways. They applied an extra seal to some areas that were cracking on the one driveway, and explained that at some point in time we may have to have that driveway resurfaced. They told us what an approximate cost was for the resurfacing. We also asked about providing a separate parking pad and what the costs associated with that would be. They gave us an estimate for that too, and then told us if we had both the pad installed and the resurfacing done, they would offer us a 15% discount on the price of both. When I went to schedule the service, the young lady asked if I had bought two of the special deals (one for each driveway). I really hadn't thought about doing that, but after all was said and done, they only charged me an additional $51 above the price for two of the "deal prices". Seems like it was fairly priced even without a second deal price.

This service was purchased as a coupon deal. Initially, I had some trouble reaching the company for scheduling (maybe they were too busy as a result of the coupon deal?). After contact was established, scheduling went smoothly. He showed up on time and worked quickly, using a spray machine to apply the asphalt sealer. A little bit of overspray on grass bordering the driveway. He used a spray shield for areas near the house's brick exterior with decent results. He was friendly, professional, and eager to answer my few questions. Would probably use them again.

Arrived when promised. Applied sealer by hand because it was a new driveway. Looks nice. They were quick and did not leave a mess.

After several delays due to weather and scheduling conflicts, Ernie and his team were able to get to my house. They were very efficient, and got it done under an hour. I liked dealing with Ernie, he's a decent guy. If I need more work done in the future, I will call him.

..They came one day ahead of scheduled promise day which was great. They were very professional. They diid a excellent job, even cleaning up after the job was completed. Would gladly hire them again for their service

All wiork was completed on time and per contract. The job was completed in one day. I loved the work and professional services rendered.

I knew I had to pay a little more than what the deal entails. It was another $360 I had to pay. The coating they used wasn't great, some tar got on the grass and leaves, and it didnt cover the cracks very well. However, they were very pleasant to be around.

We got in on The Big Deal for Seal Coating our driveway. They contacted me and set up the date for the job. They showed up within the set time frame and did a good job. Would use them again if needed.

The tough part was scheduling since the phone person would not return phone messages right away. It took over a week to get the job scheduled.
