E Stanley Asphalt Paving

Received estimate and called to set up appointment. They said they would call in March. I reached out on several occasions to no availability.

I called the company twice, near the end of August/beginning of September to get an estimate on sealing my driveway. The first time I never got a response, but the 2nd time around I got a prompt response and the gentleman was very courteous. He stated they would be out in the next week or 2 to take care of our driveway, but I never heard back.

I was under the impression that new driveways required two coats of spray. I was told there was a one year warranty which seemed short.

They were very good. It took awhile to catch up with them, but once we connected, it was not his fault on out connecting. He came out on time, and did a great job.

The service was fine. They did a good job. They were prompt and came when they said they would. They did a wonderful job.

I purchased this deal early in October. I was supposed to hear from the company no later than Oct. 10, but heard nothing. On Oct. 11 Angie's List offered to assist in contacting the company, which offer I accepted. Still heard nothing. On about Oct. 18, I called the provider myself, talked to someone who took my information and said it would be passed along immediately to "Ernest", who apparently is the sole scheduler for this kind of work. To date (Oct.23) I have heard nothing from Ernest or anyone else at the company. At this point I'm tired of chasing these people. I just want to move on and find someone else to do the work.

It turned out well and they did a good job. The scheduling was difficult but once it was scheduled, the man that did the job called me and he was very polite, took the extra step and fixed the hole for me. He was conscientious about talking to me about extra charges and the job turned out great, it looks like a different driveway when I got home.

Nothing done yet. Company has never contacted me.

Scheduling was tough but the gentleman who completed the work was very professional, gave great customer service and did a beautiful job.

Overall things went very well. It took a while to schedule. Initial service had a couple issues about patching but Mr. Stanley made it right and the end results were very good.

Nothing to say. Nothing done. Only one call from them to schedule service which they failed to show up for. No other communications after several phone calls.

took a lot of phone tag, but tother than that, very professional, punctual and fast! even did a little extra patching for nothing. recommended.

The driveway is 16 years old. The job E. Stanley did turned out better than any prior jobs. It's hard to do anything with the cracks, but they at least try by filling them with granular asphalt. They filled a couple of larger cracks with some larger material, but could have tamped it down more and made it more level. I'm having them quote on my office parking lot at this time. If they get the job, I'll have them revisit the large crack at our home and level it off better. Very nice people to work with!

Communication this time was spotty. Work seemed quickly done, without much detail to repair cracks in the driveway. Did not use extra sealant like the previous time around the edges of the driveway to 'secure' them from the effects of the weather. Pleasant owner-- previous job by them done better. May or may not use again.

The sealcoat looks great. Had an issue with some of the repair work and they came right out to evaluate and correct. UPDATE: 9 MONTHS LATER -- Asphalt has come up in places - lots of cracking. Would have preferred to pay more but have the job done correctly.

E. Stanley company came out with two workers to clean and seal the driveway. Before this, the owner called and let my husband know all the details about how long it takes to dry, when the dark color will start to fade, and other details. This was very helpful. After the first application, I noticed some missed spots, and called the owner. He came out promptly and resealed any places that may have been missed, and edged some more. I was very happy with his service and would definitely recommend him to others.

He worked with our schedule through several rain delays and kept us informed as to when he could get our driveway completed. Rich listened to all of our concerns and did everything we asked to do, to include installing a conduit for our invisible dog fence, and working around in-ground sprinkler heads. Rich was on-site throughout the project and attended to every detail and answered our questions on maintenance and upkeep. During the process a small stone accidentally broke one of our garage windows, but Rich immediately contacted someone to replace the glass at no charge to us. He gets our highest grade and we will use him again for other projects such as redoing our walkways.

I asked him to make sure that all of the edges of the driveway were inundated with tar which he complied with. Due to my request some of those side areas took a bit longer to dry after a day or so. When I called them to let them know, they showed up at my door less than 2 hours later and heated those area so that a quicker drying time was achieved. That was a pleasant surprise The driveway looks great and my concern about tracking in tar on the bottom of our shoes never happened

all went well with job but a few months later we noticed cracks in one side of the cement in back. Told them about it they said they would fill in ( This was maybe in june- july 2011 when we had them to return to add another patio) They did not fix problem at that time. We have recently called (sept 2013) to have driveway sealed and to look at this patio cracks that are getting worse.Ernie SR came out to give esti and said he would do driveway next week and fill in cracks.... never showed or called, my husband had called him several times never got a firm date. Called Ernie JR he said he would call back with a day because the 1st week we could not be home (had took time off week before for driveway did not show) Have not heard anything I guess they don't want to fix the existing job with the patio.... to do driveway sealant job.Paid a lot of money for this work and they should address this problem...... we were good customers no more referals from me!!!!!!!

The initial purchase with Angie's said that the vendor would call within 48 hours to set an initial appointment. I initiated the call a week after the purchase to start the scheduling process as no one ever contacted me. After playing phone tag for two weeks, we were able to schedule a date to complete the work. I was not impressed with the response time the service provider took to get back to me. Three different people called to either make or confirm the appointment. It was like no one was coordinating their appointment book. I had to reschedule the initial appointment at one point. Called and left a message for the provider with a phone message center. It took three days to receive a call back to acknowledge the cancellation and then reschedule. The work done was good, the communication and coordination left much to be desired.

Although I purchased this deal at the end of July it took until later September to have the work done. After waiting for 3 days to be contacted by Mr. Stanley's company I tried to contact the vendor both by phone and email. Their message box was full so although I received an email blaming the delay in contacting me on Angie's List I did send the contact information directly to the company with no luck. After about 2 weeks I was called and I told them I wanted to wait until the second week in August. We set a date. I called to reschedule the date for the following day and the son and uncle showed up to do the work. The son called from his truck to ask if I was home, because he didn't want to get out of his truck? Off to an uncomfortable start, driveway was sprayed with what I would call good quality material but the edges were not cleaned of dirt and grass or plants that were hanging over the driveway. No discussion followed about filling cracks although I was prepared to pay additional money. The application was very uneven, running and dripping in some spots and not completely covering in another. They did not have tape to mark that the driveway had been sealed. I called to request another application and was called back by Mr. Stanley who assured me that they would make it right. Several weeks passed and after several phone calls a date was set and after several rain delays the work was redone. Before this happened Mr. Stanley and his son came to my property and told me that I needed to have my driveway re-asphalted. This was the response as to why the first job was not done right. I was not told that I needed a new driveway when the first application was done. After drying, the second application appears to be what I had expected in the first place. I gave a "C" because of the lack of ability to return calls or make contacts, the quality of work first time around, and the length of time I had to wait in order to complete the project.

It went very well. Mr Stanley was very pleasant to deal with. He was onsite for the entire job. Him and his crew are very hard workers. I would most definitely recommend E.Stanley to anyone.

I had previously had this service done very satisfactorily by this company 2 years ago so when I saw their "Big Deal" offer, I bought it back in March. Initially, the service was scheduled for early May but I had to change the date. The second scheduled date was rained out and they left a message for me to call to reschedule. When I called to reschedule, I was sent to voice mail where I left a message to return my call. Until August, there was no response to repeated calls and emails. Then a new date was set up by email but no one showed up at the appointed time with no call or email in explanation or apology. This meant a wasted day waiting for them. Another phone call message was answered promptly and another time was set. This time they came on time and performed the service satisfactorily.
