Description of Work: This whole thing was to good to be true and a bust and a disappointment. THis is not how you treat people.

Description of Work: Purchased the deal end of March 2013. Was surprised that I had to contact the provider, where with other big deals I was contacted by the provider immediately, but OK..no problem. e-mailed and called several times...finally got a call back and was advised that with weather conditions and workload they'd be able to get to me in two weeks. from roughly May 21. Weather conditions have continued to be poor to perform the work. No complaint, I will just do something else...probably myself. I suggest you provide a scheduling coordination service with these big deals in the future, otherwise it's the same hassle as tracking down any other provider.

Description of Work: Mr. Stanley sent us a proposal to which we agreed. He indicated he was scheduled out approximately 3 weeks and would get back to us to schedule our work. He did not call us back and did not respond to approximately 6 phone calls.

Description of Work: I made initial contact with E Stanley Asphalt Paving and they set up a date to perform the work. I fund a much closer company to perform the work and contacted E Stanley. He was extremely understanding and stated that as long as I was happy he was fine with cancelling his work. Anyone in the Anne Arundel area should contact him for asphalt work.

Description of Work: Engaged Stanley to seal coat my driveway. sprecifically requested that they use latex sealer as another provider who I had initially contracted with told me he used an oil base sealer and sprayed it on and since my driveway had previously been done with latex, the oil base sealer would not work. Despite my request for a latex sealer and my explanation to Stanley as described above, Stanley proceeded to spray on an oil base sealer. Guess what = it looks horrible. Stanley initially agreed to redo it using a latex sealer - and then he decided he wanted to just refund my money minus $75 to offset his cost. By this time I was tired of dealing with him and just wanted to be rid of him. Bottom line is my driveway looks worse after Stanley's service than it did before his service. Not a good result.

Description of Work: I am very Picky and have had nothing but terrible experience from people I have hired to do work around my home. I do everything myself. I would not be able to do this and went off of Angie's List to hire him. I still was not sure but did not have a choice. Wow the experience I had with Ernie was awesome . He is a people person and cares. I had another person look at my drive way and he kept up on his used car sales pitch. Stop giving me the BS and give me some honest service. Ernie Stanley is the man to call. He was on time and kept his appointment. Excellent guy down to earth and has a great price and attitude!! Ohh and a fantastic job!! Thanks Big E :)

Description of Work: I live on a flag lot and have a 135 feet of driveway with a two car parking pad. Lotta drive, lotta asphalt. In the past, I've found that driveway sealer people are kinda like gypsy/ "snake oil" sales people- all fast talk and no real action. Such a total waste of money when I did fall prey to their pitch, that I've always found it much, much better just to DIY the next time. So I'd schlep up to Clark's Hardware on Route 40 in Ellicott City, buy five 5 gallon buckets of their most expensive sealer ($150-200) and break my back putting it down over the course of a full day. In June of this year I made the mistake of having a supposedly a reputable local sealing/paving company "seal" my drive. Reputable? Seal?? Yeah, right. So when I saw an Angie's Deal on E. Stanley Asphalt Paving this September, I was more than a little skeptical. But I just didn't want to put the time and effort into another DIY, so I rolled the dice and did an Angie's List "buy in." I coudln't be happier with the results. Mr. Stanley was at my house a few days after I did the "buy in" and filled cracks and sealed the entire drive with a quality sealer. I liked the job they did so much that I plan on being a repeat E. Stanley customer from now on.
