Description of Work: I am sad to write this review. Mr. Cole came and met me in the late summer, and mowed twice for me,everything was fine. Then he promised to come and rake the leaves, but never showed up. He said he had 7 people working for him but I think he must be at it alone, and his health is not good. He is no longer returning my calls after answering once and promising to come. I liked Mr. Cole but I really need a lawn service that shows up and does the job. I need someone reliable. I am disappointed to now have to look for another service provider, especially since I found Cole Lawn service on Angie's list.

Description of Work: Mr. Cole, (Otts, as he prefers being called) is the ultimate communicator. He phones weekly just to see how well the lawn is doing and if there's anything additional he can do to service the property. He (Mr. Cole) will go to the nth degree to fix a problem and will reach out to someone else if he does not know how to get the right solution. While Mr. Cole does not perform the work himself (bad back), he sits in his truck and supervises his assistant who does a good job of the task at hand. My yard was in such bad shape that I've yet to see any improvement but look forward to seeing what will be produced in the Spring of the year. His price of mowing the yard is quite comparable to professional companies. While weeding is supposedly done at the time of mowing, it happens sporadically and will have to be called to his attention where he will come out (once more) to attend to that. I would definitely hire Mr. Cole again and recommend him once the Spring arrives if I see the improvement . If, of course, there is no improvement, I'd have to recant.

Description of Work: Lawn mowed. He was supposed to edge and trim, and we paid him an extra $20.00 to weed our flower bed ($40 to mow lawn, $20 to weed). He took the $20 and said he'd be back to do the edging, trimming, and weeding later that day. He left and never came back and we haven't heard from him since. We had him do our lawn about 3 or 4 times but this particular day was the last. And that day his lawn mower was broke so we let him use ours. Who owns a lawn service and only has one mower? He didn't have an edger so he used a weed eater on the earlier visits.

Description of Work: Cole Lawn Service has been mowing our lawn for the entire summer. They come once a week to check and see if the lawn needs mowing. If it doesn't, they don't mow and come back the next week to check on it. We've got a larger sized yard and they charge $40 per mowing. They do a nice job of not leaving clippings everywhere as well. At the end of the month we receive a bill stating the dates they mowed and how much we owe.

Description of Work: THIS IS A SMALLISH LOCAL FAMILY RUN OPERATION HEADED BY A RETIRED GENTLEMAN. I HAVE USED THEM FOR SOME TIME FOR LAWN MOWING, SIMPLE YARD WORK AND SNOW REMOVAL. THE HEAD MAN IS HONEST TO A FAULT AND EASY TO DEAL WITH. I CANNOT TELL YOU AN EXACT AMOUNT SPENT BECAUSE IT VARIES WITH THE TASK, HOWEVER THEY ARE REASONABLE AND FLEXIBLE. I HAVE NEVER ASKED THEM TO DO EXTENSIVE LANDSCAPING WORK, BUT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE WITH THEM THAT I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO GIVE THEM AN OPPORTUNITY.
