Appliance Avenue

I have dealt with company several times before at my last home and was always satisfied. When I moved into this home it came with a one year warranty (Cinch). Each incident was $200. My refrigerator's ice maker did not dispense the ice. I had 5 calls (Sears appliance repair sent by Cinch) and each time the tech was different and parts were order and four times sent back. Each tech had a different opinion. After the fifth call I was told by Sears that it could not be fixed and Whirlpool no longer made the part. I was told by the warranty company that the part needed was not covered. After several months I call Appliance Avenue because my water dispenser stopped working. While he was here he inspected at my ice dispenser and informed me that he would try to locate a part to repair it. I must say both are working!! I should have called them first.

Called Monday left a message and they called back within an hour and set up an appt for Tuesday between 8-11. The guy was here before 8:30 and repair was done quickly. I've called on them numerous times in the past and they've always been great to work with, always professional and knowledgeable. This was a simple repair but they've handled more complicated ones in the past with the refrigerator and the washer.

Appliance Ave came out the next day for a home warranty repair. Part had to be ordered and it arrived within the time we were told. The follow up visit was just as timely as the 1st visit and the refrigerator is now up and running.

Washer wasn't spinning, so they came and fix it. Window time was between 1:45 and 2:15, tech showed up at 1:15 I wasn't prepared at that time as I was sleeping my baby, had to let him in and of course baby didn't went down to sleep. Tech made mess when he unplugged the hose, he had no towels, rags or anything with him to wipe down so he took my husband's shirt from a hanger and wiped the floor with it, I was informed about it as he was stepping out the door. Something must went wrong as there are stains of water on the door of the the room across the laundry, no wet carpet but can tell hose expelled water with pressure. Was charged $69.50 for the service call and $50 for labor; tech was here for 15min max. He did fixed it and assured there would be no problem with it.

Appliance avenue came out as part of a home warranty call. The first repairman (Brandon) thought the control circuit was bad, but did not have the part with him, so he replaced a different part. He promised that if that didn't work they would return and replace the control circuit, still under the same home warranty cost. When the fridge started running warm, we called and they refused to do anything without another home warranty deductible being paid, because the first repairman had not written it up in the contract. The company rep (Tammy) proceeded then to try to convince us that it must be a different part had broken, because otherwise it would have started running warm again in a few days... despite the fact that the first repairman had gone to look for the exact part in his van the first time around. It does appear that the fridge is working fine now, but the company is dishonest, does not stand by their work, and we will never use them again.

Our washing machine had stopped spinning. I called Appliance Ave. based on the recommendation of a neighbor and the Angie's List rating. I talked to Pam over the phone and she told me that a technician would be at my house between 12 and 3. At 3:20, Brandon came to my door. At 3:40 Brandon was done! It was nothing more than a broken coupling, which he had in his bag. Done, done and done! He left with a check and 2 home-made chocolate chip cookies!! I gave a B for punctuality because Brandon arrived AFTER the time window that I had been told.

He fixed a "grinding" sound my dishwasher was making. It turned out to be a tiny piece of plastic that had broken off something being washed. He was a friendly repairman who loved my dog! I didn't do estimates to fix such a small problem, so I don't know if $100 was too much, but I think it seemed high for the work. He spent about 20-30 minutes and didn't need any parts. The work was good though.The company gives you a time window of when the repair person will show up. Our repairman came at the beginning of the time slot, so I was pleased. The company does not have extended hours or a website that I could find. I had to leave a message to make an appointment. They called back pretty quick, within the same day, since I called in the morning. They had appointments available the same week, too. I only had to wait like one day for someone to come.

We have used Appliance Avenue several times for various appliance repairs. They have worked on our dishwasher, our washing machine and our glass top range. They schedule an appointment and call the day prior to give you a time window for service. Each time I have had them out, they have arrived promptly at the start time of the window. The service technicians area always professional and courteous. Most times they have the needed parts available in the truck and the one time they didn't, they were pretty expeditious about getting them and getting back to install. The fees are fair and service is excellent. We will only use Appliance Avenue.

I was pleased with their price. I've used them in the past too and they've been great about fixing what needs to be fixed. In this case it wasn't worth fixing it but he came out and gave me his honest opinion. They are very easy to get a hold of. They are good at scheduling you in somewhere and they are very knowledgeable. They have always been good with any of the appliances we've had, whatever different brands or problems, they seem to always have a guy that can fix it.

The problem was that the cats had pulled out a bit of the sound proofing and when he checked it out he diagnosed the issue and I realized it would be expensive to fix. We decided not to go through with getting the part and he only charged me $15 for looking at the dishwasher. Troy is the owner's name and he was very pleasant and great to work with. He was honest with me about how expensive the repair would be and provided me options that I appreciated. He has been out several other times to help me and has provided great service at reasonable prices.

Once the service technician arrived at my house, everything was fantastic. The thing that drove me crazy was attempting to get the company to call me back to schedule an appointment. I left about three voicemails before I got a response. Technician was very friendly and professional. He quickly figured out that my dryer blew a fuse due to overheating caused by a very dirty lint trap, which he cleaned for me. He did not clean the dryer vent hose, but recommended that I simply replace it myself.

First, the woman who answered the phone was very friendly and told me someone would call me the day before my appointment to give me a 2-3 hour window. They did indeed call and gave us a 2 hour window. The technician arrived within the first hour and was also very friendly.

SERVICE MAN WAS ON TIME, INFORMATIVE AND VERY BUSINESS LIKE. HE PERFORMED THE SERVICE IN A TIMELY MANNER. HE WAS PROMPT IN CLEANING UP AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED.
