The senior estimator arrived on time on a Saturday. He spent approximately 40 minutes looking around my basement, and gave me a number of ideas about waterproofing. However, since another company had installed perimeter drain system about 10 or so years ago, he suggested that I contact that company about window taps for the basement windows because he explained that if a different company came in and did that work, the original warranty might be voided. I appreciated his time, care, and honesty, and told him that if I had to recommend a basement waterproofing company, I would definitely recommend his.

Did not like pushy sales tactics of the guy who came to give me estimate. Do comparison of work, warranty for this company as compared to what is offered from other companies. Cost should also be an important factor as I did not find the rates to be competitive at all.

We spoke with the member subsequent to this report. The member had several, approximately seven, contractors provide proposals and the information may have gotten convoluted. Our proposal was for $ 3,770.00 and the member chose another firm for $ 3,500.00. We were glad to hear that the member found a contractor within their budget. Had we performed the work we are confident the member would have been completely satisfied with the end result. Thank you for the opportunity.

I requested an estimate for concrete replacement and possible waterproofing of my foundation because of sink hole under my driveway that was causing water leakage through my foundation wall. I setup an appointment with All Aspects for an estimator to visit my home one evening. All Aspects called me at home and at work and confirmed the appointment with me several times. We were all in agreement with the time and date the estimator was supposed to show. in addition, All Aspects gave the name of the estimator who was coming when they confirmed the appointment each time. However, the evening of the appointment, the estimator was a no-show and no phone call to say that he would not make the appointment. I informed All Aspects about the no-show as a courtesy. Their response was to first try to blame me and then to set up another appointment. However, I will not do business with firms who miss appointments without calling (experience has taught me that it is a downward slide from there).
Description of Work: I requested an estimate from ALL Aspects for concrete replacement in my driveway and possible waterproofing of the foundation next to a sink hole under my driveway. Even though the appointment was confirmed with All Aspects, the estimator never showed or called. Initially All aspects tried to blame me for the no-show saying I hadn't confirmed the appointment but when notified that I confirmed the appointment with them several times, there wasn't much more to say.

We aknowledge missing the appointment and apologize to the member for their experience. It was not our intent for the member to preceive that we were blaming them for the missed appointment, but to see internally where we had the breakdown and take corrective action to prevent this from occurring again. Please accept our apology. We are committed to all Angie's List members and promise to work harder in the future.

We had a problem with groundwater seeping into the basement of our end unit townhouse. Our basement is partially finished, and black mold had formed along the bottom of the drywall in the finished part of the basement. We had gotten quotes from one other basement waterproofing company and from a couple of mold remediation companies, and it seemed like the repairs were going to cost over $10,000. We were relieved to find All Aspects, since they found a less intrusive way to fix our water leakage problem and did the mold remediation for free. It cost us less than half of what we thought we were going to have to pay. Jeff did the assessment and estimate. He was professional, patient, and not pushy at all. He also gave us an even bigger discount on the work than the Angie's List discount based on an old promotion they had. The workers showed up on time and did the work efficiently. It was all done in a day. They put up heavy plastic on the walls; my boyfriend (who was home at the time) said it looked like a scene from E.T. I wish they had told us that they would be stapling the plastic sheets to the drywall. After they were done, they left a bunch of staples in the walls and even had stapled the wooden feet of our sofa. However, I still give them A's all around because the foreman came out on Saturday morning after we called Friday night about the staples and removed them all and patched the holes. They also apologized profusely for the staples in our sofa and offered a solution that worked for us. I doubt they will make that mistake again. Overall, they were very professional and besides the staples, they did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves well, all for a very reasonable price. Hopefully we won't have more problems with our basement, but if we do, we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

The job went well. All Aspects provided an estimate that was competitive. The work was completed within the time frame quoted. The workmen were respectful, skillful and cleaned up after themselves. The job entailed jackhammering up the cement floor in the crawl space and installing drains and a sump pump. The job was laborious and messy but the crew took great care to limit the distribution of cement dust in the house. The crew accidentally took paint off the walls when removing the sheets of plastic that they put up to contain the cement dust. All Aspects responded quickly and professionally to rectify the situation to my satisfaction.

The service was supposed to start on 11/21/11, they called on the 16th to ask if they could start early. I was not home but my wife describes "an army invasion". She was impressed with the workforce. We felt comfortable leaving the crew in the house and going on to work. I rushed home to see the progress and by the time I got in at 5PM they were gone. Other than the work done as promised you would not know my basement was jack hammered and put back together.I went around looking for dust on furniture in the basement or even on top of door frames. I could not find a single speck. Just amazing work, rare to find these days! I guess the proof will be after the next big storm but I feel very confident the work was done properly. The inspection and contract was done by Clarence Woods who was knowledgeable and informative. He explained our options and told us exactly what to expect. There was no pressure tactics. Highly satisfied and highly recomended.

The information and explanation of project was very informative and detailed but the was (>$11 thousand) outrageous, considering the removal of the mold would require tearing out walls, come ceiling, 3-doors and maybe a complete bathroom with a window and I was informed that nothing would be replaced ... but no sub-contractor was referred nor did he recommend one that I would use. If a major company as this is going to perform the work they should have sub-contractors that they work with and recommend to finish the work. Did they expect me to do it after spending >$11 thousand??
Description of Work: No work was done due to the price. Even though I signed a contract and they provided financing, I had 3-days to cancel, which I did. I would not recommend this company because of it's inadequacy to provide sub-contractors ... can we all work together??

The work turned out fine. They worked very hard and got a lot of work done. Afterwards, I had to have some other work done to finish up the project they had done (i.e. drywall, painting, etc.). I was pretty happy with the work. They put the sump pump in the place most convenient for me and most difficult for them. They were so efficient and had a great crew. They did great clean up work and they put heavy plastic around everything downstairs so the dust wouldn't’t spread. They did a wonderful job and I was very pleased.

The gentlemen who came to do the job worked very hard and quickly. The work was done so neatly that if i had not been home that day, I would not have known that they had even been here. We have had some heavy rains since the work was done and the carpet remains dry so it certainly appears the work was successful.
Description of Work: We had a leak in the downstairs family room of our split foyer home following the earthquake and then torrential rains in September 2011. We had a similar problem about 15 years ago and we had dug around the foundation and applied a sealant to a crack in the concrete foundation. The All Aspects representative who came to give us an estimate felt for sure it was the same problem. He said his company would have employees hand dig the area since it involved our garden and lawn and apply a seal with plasmatic core to waterproof the exterior wall surface. This work would be guaranteed for 25 years. The work was scheduled for 10/19 but the company contacted me to move the date to 10/18 because heavy rain was in the weather forecast for 10/19. I was pleased that the company contacted me to come earlier rather than put us off to a later date. The men who came to do the work were very careful with my lawn and garden. They had to dig up several bushes but did so very carefully. The men treated the exterior foundation exactly as we were told, dug the area exposing the foundation, cleaned it and applied the seal. When they finished they put everything back as they found it.

The workers installed a pump in the floor to correct the problem, but apparently that was not the solution to the moisture and bubble on the wall. After the work was done, the wall looked the same and there was still moisture. After I called the office, they sent another workman out which seemed to be more professional in doing the work. However, within a month after the same appearance occurred on the walls and moisture developed and even though I hesitated to call, it is now apparent that the entire area is looking exactly how it was prior to the work being done and an even larger area is now showing moisture and discoloration from moisture damage ever after the waterproof paint was applied.
Description of Work: The original job was to correct the moisture problem and dampness and concealed water seepage on the walls and of the garage. Apparently the diagnosis was not quite correct with what was required to correct the moisture and water seepage which was draining on the floor of the garage. For right after the work was done, the problem resurfaced and even after some other servicemen came out to try to correct it, it has now appeared the same as it was before the repair was done and even worse-- the blotchy appearance is there inspite of the work done. The company had to be called again to attempt to correct the problem. I I would appreciate if the work could be correctly diagnosed and corrected. Thank you. All Aspects did an excellent job for us installing interior drain tile and a new sump pump in our basement as well as fixing a window well. The estimator, Steve, carefully explained everything that would be done, drew pictures to explain how the system would work and showed us photos of other jobs. He also provided us with an estimate on the spot which was great since we wanted to get going as soon as possible with the job. Although All Aspects was very busy due to recent flooding in the area and our job was scheduled for eight weeks out from the date we signed the contract, we were able to get moved up on the schedule since they had an opening and our schedule was flexible. Thus, the job was started about a week and a half after we signed the contract. The crew completed our rather large job in two days. There was a crew leader (Eliel) who did a very good job of communicating with us about various aspects of the job. They did a good job of closing off the rest of our basement with plastic so it wouldn't get dusty when they blasted out our concrete floor and they used a venting system to take the dust outside. We think they did a very professional job and we have confidence that our basement will not get wet again -- in fact we had two inches of rain two days ago and our basement stayed dry!
Description of Work: We had 110 feet of interior drain tile installed in our basement, plus a new sump pump. We also had them redo the drain work in a window well.

I was very impressed with them. The person who came to inspect the house was very informed. Their price was very competitive and even after I booked the job with them if I had a question and needed to talk to the person who came out to do the quote, they were very responsive. During the job I had a couple of concerns and those concerns were addressed by the office and the salesperson immediately and that was really impressive to me. A lot of times once a job is booked there is not much attention to detail or all of a sudden there is not as much time for you. This company all along and even after the job they did, which I felt was very thorough, had time for me. There have been a couple of people who walked through my house one was a landscape contractor and the other was a general contractor and they were impressed with how well the job was done in the basement. They were also impressed with the price at which I got it for. After the job was completely done about two or three weeks later I had some questions for them because I had another contractor working on the house. I had some questions about the work that they had done and I wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t conflict with their warranty. I called them up and left a message and they called me up right away. They were not rushed at all and they were very thorough in explaining what could be covered and what couldn’t be covered and what kind of wood goes with the warranty. They also said that if the other contractor had any questions he could call them. Its been A+ with that company.

Had a great experience. We have been having a difficult time finding a company that could tell why we were having a water/moisture problem in the basement. Finally we may have an answer. Our sump pump was not working and it apparently hasn't been working since the home inspector opened it up 7 years ago!! Clarence was super professional, very informative and has a level of integrity you would want from this type of service. I will definitely use their service again if we need it and would highly recommend them. We had to wait almost a month for the appt but it was totally worth it.

Jeff Basham the estimator for the job was fantastic. He is very knowledgable regarding basement water problems and an expert in indoor air quality. His years of experience definately shows when he inspected our basement. He was on time for his appointment, explained all solutions available and recommended the best one. He thoroughly explained the entire process. He worked with our busy schedule to to select a work date that met our needs. The work crew, headed by Keith was also fantastic. They sealed of the non work areas so no dirt or dust would affect those areas. The work area was left cleaner than when they started. Each member of the work crew was very professional and they all did excellent work. The crew worked well together. They really knew what the were doing. This work was completed less than 1 week before flooding rains. I think we received approximately 13 inches of rain during that storm. The waterproofing system worked as anticipated and prevented flooding in our basement. Many neighbors had major flooding in their basements; but we did not. Remember the house is at the bottom of a hill. Also the basement wall is no longer cracked and did not crack or bow during the heavy rains, as it did prior to the work. I would highly recommend All Aspects Waterproofing, Jeff Basham, and Keith the crew leader. They all seem to be the best in the business.

The earliest we could get an appointment was almost a month out. Because they were so highly rated, we took it and felt lucky. We scheduled a time with their staff once-more as the date drew nearer. Unfortunately, after re-arranging schedules, skipping important meetings, juggling kid's schedules and rushing home to make the agreed-upon appointment, we learned that we had been totally blown off. Apparently, the person called eariler the day of the appointment to see if we would be home earlier than the agreed-upon time. Obviously we weren't, so it appears that the person just moved on. And apparently we had been blown off hours before-hand. When we called to see when they would arrive, they explained that they were already miles away during the DC-area rush hour. I realize that business is flush after such a horrible period of rain last month, but we expected more from an Angie's List award winner. We'll be looking to work with another company ASAP. They offered to re-schedule but... Not interested.

We apologize for the members experience; however disagree with the description of events. We attempted to confirm the appointment with the member prior to and on the scheduled date. Our inspector was at the member's residence and subsequent to leaving the member contacted the inspector. The member advised that they had received the calls to confirm the appointment but were too busy to call back and confirm the appointment. Our inspector who was less than ten minutes from the member's residence offered to return. After a phone conversation concerning the problem the member declined, stating they were interested in a different solution. We are handling several inspections everyday on an extremely tight schedule. Our time is also valuable and we need to be sure that we can assist every customer by confirming the appointment. Again, we apologize and appreciate the member's comments and look forward to assisting ALL Angie's List members.

My basement flooded due to the recent weather (rain etc). Spoke with a few companies. All Aspects was the only company that responded quickly and worked closely to help me remedy my basement water issues. I was very happy with the work, timeliness of the work, and the care taken to make me feel like I was the only client (I was well aware that due to the recent hurricane, hundreds of calls were coming in). I never had another drop of water present in the basement again. I also got advice regarding the restoration of the basement even though it was beyond the scope of work that we contracted for. I will be calling again for another home that needs similar work.
Description of Work: The entire foot print of the home needed to be trenched and have sump pumps system instaIled. They took such care in the digging of my basement. I had the entire basement floor tiled. When taking the tile up off the floor, they took a minimal amount of tile and made sure not to break tile that was not in the way. It was very easy to restore the tile in my basement as a result. In addition, 5 of my window wells needed replacement.

The service was completed as explained. The submersible pump has a warranty thru the company with all information clearly stated on the Agreement Contract. We were invited to call if we had any questions.
Description of Work: Installed a submersible pump/trench under the foundation as part of a waterproofing system and cleaned up any possible mold and damp insulation in two rooms in our basement. Came out prior to inspect the property and explain the service. Called to answer any questions before the service began. The team (a foreman and 4 employees) arrived on time, laid drop cloths, activated an exhaust system, made the repairs, and cleaned up all debris with minimal disturbance to our day.

We originally hired All Aspects to install a drainage system in one part of our crawl space, due to standing water and mold. Unfortunately, after Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee, we additional standing water in another section of crawl space and had to expand the drainage system. The scope of the work was to dig a trench around the inside perimeter of the crawl space and install a drainage system, including sump pumps. Additionally, they were to tear out the moldy insulation (WHILE USING A NEGATIVE AIR SPACE SYSTEM), treat the wooden beams with fungicide, and install new insulation. On the first day, when I returned home, the foreman notified me that they had discovered an additional problem in the cellar and had jack hammered the concrete floor and installed a drainage system there as well. Work proceeded as expected. But then when my husband decided to inspect the work that had been done, he found that they had not dug the trenches deep enough (to their own specs). Then he discovered that they had not treated all the wooden beams. Then he discovered that they were installing the wrong insulation (no paper backing, so that the fibers would be sucked into the house - AGAINST CODE). We also noticed several pieces of our equipment go missing - extension cords (that I had loaned them) and a small trenching shovel. We had to call them to have them come back to connect the sump pumps. They never used the negative air space system while they were removing the moldy insulation, only one day did I hear it running, when they were spraying the fungicide. On previous days, the fungicide fumes were so bad in the house, I had to take my small children and leave. To their credit, they did the additional drainage system in the cellar at no additional charge (which was to be expected, since they did not inform me BEFORE they did the work), and they did replace some of the missing items. However, the extension cords they bought as replacements, they used in the crawl space to connect the sump pumps. Our crawl space has been dry since the system was installed, but if my husband hadn't inspected their work (which he shouldn't have to do for a top-rated Angie's List company), there would still be mold in our crawl space, and insulation installed improperly.
Description of Work: Installation of internal drainage system in the crawl space; removal of moldy insulation, treatment of wooden beams for mold, reinstallation of insulation.

I was impressed by the high ratings on Angie's List and called to schedule an appointment for a free estimate after our basement flooded from the rain produced by hurricane Irene. They were so busy I had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment and in the meantime we have hired another company to complete our work. The responses I received from their office were prompt, polite and professional. Even though we just canceled the appointment we made, the person I spoke to at the office (Gina, I believe) was very pleasant. I can only speak to my experience with the office staff here---they made a very positive impression and represent the company well.
Description of Work: We contacted this company for a free estimate.
