low On Friday I signed and faxed the contract to All Aspects Waterproofing of the week of hurricane Sandy. The following Monday, Nelson scheduled the work 11/26/2012. He informed me that the start date could slip if there was rain dates. Nelson came out on Monday 11/26 and introduced me to the foreman Ellie. Nelson and Ellie went over the work that was being performed. Ellie and Frank were quite informative during the whole process of the job. Ellie and his work crew laid down a giant tarp. They dug out the corner wall around my basement and mudroom on Monday 11/26. Rain on 11/27 prevented outside work from being done. They dug below the foundation. They fixed cracks they saw in my foundation. On 11/28/2012 Ellie, Frank and one other person finished the job which included: 1) Taking away all the large rocks that were dug up from next to my basement wall. 2) Placing Tar on the basement wall. 3) Putting a membrane on the basement wall and sealing it with tar. 4) Laying small stones/pebbles at the base of the foundation. 5) Laying pipe around the foundation which connected to a giant tub. 6) Covering the pipe with stones/pebbles. 7) The giant tub contains a sump pump. At the bottom of the tub are tube input for the pipe. Near the top of the pipe is an exit pipe for the sump pump where it was pushed across my lawn toward the driveway and away from the house. The exit pipe is buried in a low trench. 8) They Filled in the dirt and pounded it down. 9) Cleaned up the yard and took away everything they brought. They hauled away my sandbags. I await the rain.

Zeke from All Aspects came out to look at an ongoing dampness problem in our basement. After a thorough inspection he was very honest and told us that he could charge us to do some major projects in our basement, but given our particular situation and the construction of our rowhouse it would most likely have little to no impact on the issue. Considering that other contractors had quoted us many thousands of dollars to "solve" this problem, we appreciated his candor and all the detailed information he gave us. Instead he made some helpful recommendations for how we could inexpensively lessen the dampness and prevent potential mold. He also did a very thorough visual mold inspection of our basement. We would definitely go back to them for any more serious problems that occur in the future.

I feel that after Sandy, we are able to give full testimony to the job that All Aspects did for us in 2010. Back then, there had been another large storm, power had gone out and the sump pump stopped working. Water came into the basement, both the unfinished and finished portions. It was a disaster. All Aspects came (got their name off of Angie's list) and made their recommendations. They installed basement drains all around the house, including a new sump pump and backup battery for it. They also made some changes to the outside of the house, including improving on the drain at the foot of the stairs to the basement where water used to accumulate. Their workers were very professional, punctual and pleasant. We haven't had any problems since - not with Sandy or any other storm. I think it was worth every penny.

Inspector Jeff B. arrived at my home right on time and was very courteous and professional. He quickly reviewed the water issue we had in our basement and explained that it was not significant enough at this stage to merit any intervention by their company, but did very clearly explain what was causing the minor moisture issue on our floor, how we should monitor it, and what measures we could take on our own which would mitigate the existing moisture issues. He assessed the exterior of the house and also provided pointers for protecting against moisture entering the interior from exterior openings. Overall, this company was a pleasure to deal with.

Zeke came out to our house to look at water "weeping" in our basement wall due to Hurricane Sandy. He was able to isolate the problem easily. Even better, he had a very low cost fix. Instead of the substantial amount that I thought would be required, he pointed out a very inexpensive solution. Zeke was friendly, knowledgable and honest - you can't ask for more from a service pro! I highly recommend Zeke and All Aspects, and will call them again if the need arises.

I called All Aspects Waterproofing after some water entered the house near my walk-down basement door during Super Storm Sandy. Within a week Jeff, a senior inspector, was sent to evaluate my issue. Jeff showed up at the beginning of the arrival window, introduced himself, and got to work. After inspecting the area where water had entered, the concrete walk down basement steps, the sump well, and discussing my water yard drainage experience, he diagnosed that I had a problem with the concrete step just outside of the door. Jeff explained the repair process and reassured me that I was unlikely to have any water damage inside the entry point. He also went over how to determine if water was draining properly into my sump well during the next storm. Jeff then took the time to inspect the exterior drainage tubing I had set up and advised me on small Do It Yourself changes I could make to improve yard drainage to reduce the volume my sump pump is currently handling. Jeff was polite and extremely knowledgeable concerning waterproofing and mold remediation, he is clearly a master at his trade. He took the time to explain, in detail, every step of what he was doing and common water proofing issues homeowners experience. The free inspection he provided assured me that I did not have a more serious problem. I plan to use them if I have any future water proofing or mold remediation needs.

Mr. Bozell solved our problem. He identified the source of our leak quickly and suggested some remedies that we could perform ourselves.

I called All Aspects Waterproofing to come evaluate our house because we had some water seepage and leaking into our house from various above and below grade locations during Hurricane Sandy. When I first called to set up an appointment for a free estimate, All Aspects was clear on the phone that their company would only address below grade issues (which is common with waterproofing companies). I was fine with this and told them I'd like them to come look at just the below grade issues. Jeff Basham from All Aspects arrived at our appointment at the very beginning of the 2 hour appointment window. Jeff was courteous and professional. He walked all around the house and took moisture measurements. He immediately identified that even our below grade water seepage issues were coming from above grade sources. Instead of just leaving at that point, Jim walked me around the interior and exterior of the house and made recommendations for how to address the various above grade issues. I also asked him several questions about potential for mold growth and continued risk from the above ground issues. He stuck around for another 30 minutes answering my questions, troubleshooting and making recommendations for the above ground issues. I was very impressed that Jeff stuck around and helped even though he wasn't being paid for the visit (free estimate) and knowing that All Aspects would not get any immediate business because my issues were all above grade issues. That is excellent service. I will absolutely call All Aspects in the future for any waterproofing needs. I will also call them if we buy another house because they will do an evaluation before you move in. Thanks Jeff!

He did a thorough examination and spent his time after he determined his service did not cover our issue. Jeff did his due diligence, and showed a great level of caring and attentiveness. That type of service prompted this review.

I had an issue. I contacted the company and made an appointment. They showed up and answered my questions. I did not need further service.

The crew that was assigned came on time and were highly professional in their work. In one day they installed the sump pump and it has worked great ever since. I can't say enough how professional and hardworking were. Starting with Steve Maney and ending with the work crew, I was overly pleased with the work of All Aspects Waterproofing. I highly recommend them to anyone who is having water issues in their basement.

Jeff came out and took a look at the water damaged basement. He checked humidity levels of the walls affected and notified us that water has most likely been seeping in where the outside underground walls connected to the basement floor. The humidity levels read high for the bottom portion of the walls, but the tops were completely dry. This told him it was coming from the ground and not through any major cracks in the walls themselves. He pointed out to us that mold was growing pretty much everywhere in the basement and on everything. It was visible on the lower 12" to 24" of everything in the basement in the form of a white dusty substance. The basement also had an obvious musty odor. Jeff was well prepared and very informative from the day of the inspection and estimate on. He came with detailed folders and packets of the regulations on mold remediation and sump pump installation and informed us of the shoddy way to do the work versus the proper way. Properly informed of the exact scope of the work he was going to have done, I was able to research that night on my own to see for myself that he was correct and that the price range was relevant. He was the only inspector who came out and offered us a plan for preventative work (the sump pump) and he was the only inspector to work to inform and educate us about what was actually causing the damage in the first place. He told us the work would take approximately 3-4 days. His team came out on the first day (a Thursday) and began emptying contents of the basement and they were completely done with all work including cementing back over the new drain by 5pm the next day (Friday). After the work was done Hurricane Sandy Hit the following weekend. I called on two different occasions with questions as the storm raged on and he was prompt and helpful with answers, and even came out to help on a moments notice with one request. The basement stayed miraculously dry through the storm! We called All Aspects just in time!

It was excellent from start to finish. Jeff was right on time. He was knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that I could understand. He determined that waterproofing was not necessary, which is what his company does. He checked the fireplace and found rust inside. He recommended that I contact a chimney specialist.

This company is top-notch - Very professional, knowledgeable and prompt in arrival. Provided information and confirmed that there were no concerns from our questions regarding our basement. Should work e required in the future, we will certainly use this company in performing the services.

Quality work and Quality customer service

I have had a problem with mold growing in the corner of my basement. At a recent Home Show, I made arrangements with 3 companies to come to my house, evaluate the problem, and explain how they would fix it. I have to say that I was favorably impressed by all of the companies' inspections of the basement. Each one did a good job of looking all over the basement to see if there could be other potential problems. Their responses differed widely, but I appreciate the time that each took to educate me about what was potentially happening in my home. The first company that came wanted to dig a sump pump in that corner. The inspector explained that water was pooling there and that a sump pump would be the best solution. It would only take about 1-2 days to fix, but the procedure required pouring of cement and the cement would need a month to cure before I could put anything back on it. Cost about $2500. The second company wanted to dig up the front yard and the side yard and completely water proof all the walls. In addition, they wanted dig up around all 4 walls in the basement to install a system to move water to my existing sump pumps. Cost about $45,000. Neither of these companies seemed to concentrate on the fact that I don't have standing water in the basement. The floor never has water on it. Water is not coming through the wall in significant amounts. Water is getting into the cement blocks, which is clear from the mold growing on the wall, but it just didn't seem to me that these were the solutions that I needed. Jeff from All Aspects came to the house and did a thorough evaluation of the basement. He had a water meter that showed what the level of water was on the walls. It showed that water was only present in the walls in that corner. The rest of the walls were within the dry range. (No wall that is underground is going to be completely without water, but Jeff explained that there is an acceptable range.) Jeff's solution was to dig outside just around the corner where the problem was. On that corner, the walls would be water proofed. As there doesn't seem to be a problem anywhere else, this seemed to me to be the best solution. He even agreed to try to not damage the 50 year old holly shrub that I have in front of the house. The night before the work was to be done, we had a large amount of rain. I was worried that the crew would not be able to do the work because the ground would be too wet. But they arrived by about 10am (right on schedule) and were able to start the digging. During the course of the work, they found that there were some cracks in the foundation that they filled with cement. Then they covered the area with a tar like substance, covered the tar with a membrane, and filled the hole back in. All the while doing minimal damage (none that I could see at all) to my holly shrub. They even put in a long drain pipe connected to the downspout that makes sure that the water that comes from the gutters is now being directed about 6 feet away from the wall. They were done by 3pm. The work crew was friendly. They explained to me what was going on and every time I stuck my head outside to see the progress, they pointed out what they had found and what they had done. They also came in the basement and sprayed a chemical on the mold that partially cleaned it and scrubbed it with a wire brush. I may be wrong. Maybe I should have had the entire house water proofed. Only time will tell. But if I do end up needing additional work, I will call All Aspects to do that work.

Came home after vacation to find water in our finished basement. New to the area and never having had a basement before I wasn't sure what I was dealing with. I pulled up the carpet and discovered when it rained water was seeping in between the foundation walls and basement floor along one side of the house. I called a few waterproofing companies for quotes. All of the quotes were competitive. I choose All Aspects for a number of reasons. Their representative took the time to educate me about basement drainage systems and why they fail. They recommended a comprehesive fix that would ensure I wouldn't have this happen again. All of the companies I received quotes from told me that a finished basement the size of mine was too large for the one sump pump that was currently installed and I should really have another one installed. However, All Aspects was the only company that included an additional sump pump in their bid. They guaranted their work for the life of the house. Before hiring All Aspects I had additional questions. All of my phone calls were returned promptly. The day the work was to begin, the crew arrived on time. The foreman introduced the crew to me and the process was explained to me. The job would take 2 or 3 days. They removed walls, sheet rock, framing, carpeting and tile. They jack hammered up my basement floor and put in a new drainage system and sump pump and repoured the basement floor. I can not say enough good things about the crew that worked at my house. They draped and covered everything to minimize the mess. They worked diligently and kept me informed. They took all of the debris and trash away and cleaned up when they were done. A few nights after the new system was in we had another heavy rain. I noticed that areas of the new concrete appeared wet. Even though it was after business hours I called and left a message. A member of their management team called me back that night. Another member of the team called me the next morning to make sure everything was okay to see if I had any other questions. All Aspects' customer service is something rarely seen these days. I highly recommend them.

We recently had our water service line burst, causing flooding and damage to our finished basement. We called All Aspects Waterproofing to assess the basement and make sure that we didn't have any additional underlying issues we needed to address (e.g. poor drainage from rain, water inflow from cracks in foundation). The front office was very prompt in their response to me. Zeke came to the house a few days after my initial phone call to provide the estimate for potential future service and assess our damages. He arrived in the designated two hour time frame, and spent almost an hour and a half in the house answering my questions and providing his inspection. I found his recommendations to be honest and on target. We will very likely use All Aspects to proceed with future work on the basement and to address the issues that were found.

An associate from All Aspects came to provide an estimate for basement waterproofing. The estimate was free, the guy (can't remember name..) was very professional and spent time explaining what needed to be done and why. We have not had the work done yet because it was more money than we had available at the time, but will likely get in touch with All Aspects again.
