All Aspects Waterproofing

Well I called All Aspects waterproofing after a BGE Home Energy Auditor pointed out some potential water issues in my crawl space. The young lady on the phone was nice and took down all my information and setup an appointment for sometime Saturday between 12-2. As a person that works crazy hours during the week being able to get a Saturday appointment was really cool and helpful. Well as promised Rob Ellis came out on time and within 5 minutes of him being at my home he told I had nothing to worry about and the crawl space issue was not serious. Most Sales people would have tried to push something that they could make money on but not Rob.... He spent an additional 45 minutes explaining how hydrodynamics works on a home and things I could do myself to fix issues....This included stuff they get paid to do. ..... I did not use their service so I can not speak to the quality of their work but if I ever do need waterproofing or ground water management... I will call them and 2 other companies for quotas ( Always do your due diligence) but All Aspects waterproofing does have an advantage over others.

This is the first company that we have talked to about the water in our basement. Bob Ellis was very professional and honest. He arrived on time and took as much time as we needed to inspect the basement, inside and out, and answer our questions. He told us that we can continue treating the leaks ourselves, as we have been, as long as we leave the basement unfinished. He also showed us some places outside of the house where there were issues and suggested ways to fix those problems. If we do finish the basement, we may use them to waterproof it first. We will, of course, get other estimates first. We were impressed that he didn't try to sell us something that we don't need, but that he took the time to explain what was causing the problem and what he would recommend if we do finish the basement. Very impressed with this company.

He provided us with the "cadillac" option which was expensive and would solve the problem, but did not push this option. He then provided us a description of a DIY-type job we could do ourselves that could also possibly fix our problem.

Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and explained the issue with each crawl space along with simple DIY solutions we can try. He explained the conditions necessary for mold growth and steps we could take if mold did begin to grow on the beams in the space below our addition. He was professional and helpful without trying to scare us into purchasing some expensive solutions. I would definitely call All Aspects if I notice any further problems.

All Aspects Waterproofing sent Robert Ellis to be my inspector this morning. He was prompt, helpful, polite, and very thorough with his suggestions and estimate. His additional knowledge of Columbia and the insurance situation surrounding the blend of HOA condo/townhouse policies and personal homeowners policies was very helpful to a first time homeowner and recent resident such as myself. He even followed up with a secondary phone call as he thought of new possibilities and options for me. I'm exceptionally pleased with my experience with Robert and I'll definitely be calling All Aspects Waterproofing again.

Our contact with All Aspects was Robert. He did an fantastic job explaining the problem and describing the best remedy. He was very thorough and made a couple trips to our house to go over the install, how we could save a little money and helping us to come up with a plan that fit in our budget. On the date of install, the team was very professional and did excellent work. They walked us through the process and worked quickly. A new sump pump was installed and an older pump was replaced so that we now have a new pump in both the front and back of the house. To be honest, the area in which they worked was cleaner when they left, than when they started. We were very impressed and our basement has been completely dry.

I have had flooding issues in my basement for years, and two years ago had All Aspects Waterproofing was one of many companies to come out to give me an estimate for this work. Instead of going with them two years ago, I decided to first exhausted other less invasive/cheaper options to keep my basement dry, such as grading outside the house and outside drainage systems to bring the water away from the house. Those measures haven't worked, so All Aspects Waterproofing was one of the many companies I called out to get updated estimates as I am now ready to have my French drain and sump pump installed. I have done a lot of research into different companies and into the work that has been done, and I had a few estimates before Jeff came out. But no company was as thorough as Jeff. He was able to determine that water was coming in where the floor and the wall meet, and not from a crack in my foundation. He drew a picture for me so I could visualize the problem. He was also able to thoroughly explain the work that was going to be done. He explained the process better than anyone else. The price he gave me was a great value for the work being done (and there was an Angie's List discount!!). In fact, he was so thorough that I decided I didn't want to let him walk out that door without me signing the contract. He also walked me through my financing options and was able to schedule the work 10 days from now. I very much look forward to working with him and his company on this project. Jeff's boss, if you are reading this, give him a bonus :)

The work was finished on schedule, in spite of light rain and area was restored.

My contact at All Aspect Waterproofing was Robert Ellis. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure for correcting my basement water issues. Initially, he recommended that I replace my sump pump. When replacement of the sump pump did not address my water issues, he recommended a plan to trench the perimeter of my basement to insert a French drain. In addition, the work required a second sump pump. Since the first sump pump did not address my water issue, he removed the cost of that sump pump from my bill. The workers who did the work were fantastic and kept my basement relatively clean. I am pleased with All Aspect Waterproofing's work and would recommend them to others.

We noticed there was some carpet discoloration and wetness in our basement. To my dismay, there was a small area of mold under the baseboards. I called All Aspects Waterproofing to see if we could find the source. Scheduling was easy and Mr. Ellis came for the inspection on time, at convenient hours after my work. He took time to find out details about what happened, and then inspected the outside of the home, inside including the sump pump, and then the area of carpet involved. He even took time to bring out some of his tools and help pull back some of the carpet and baseboards to reveal some residual wetness in the area. Despite the thorough inspection for a length of time - there was no charge. He concluded the source was likely a gutter and landscape grading which led to water accumulation close to the foundation, and recommended fixing this as a low cost solution. He sent a summary of his findings and recommendations, and followed up quickly with a call to see how things were going. I did not need to proceed with formal waterproofing work, but the inspection was thorough, and he was professional throughout. Moreover, he seemed like genuine person who I trusted. Would highly recommend.

I would not say that this went well. As I understand it, they have a single "system" that they use for waterproofing a basement, and if that system is not compatible with the structure of your house, they can't help you. The salesman should have known that and not spent our time (and the time of the company's "installers") to come out a second time for no reason. UPDATE AS OF 3/16/2014 After I posted this review, the owner of the company called with profuse apologies, as did the salesman. The salesman claimed that he had sent a quote via U.S. mail. it never arrived, and in any event we had agreed that he would send it to me via email. The owner then personally came out and measured around the house and sent an estimate for excavating around our entire house and re-parging and putting in new drain tile. The quote was extremely high, at $74,000, although given the configuration of our house that was not too surprising. The owner suggested that it may not be necessary to excavate around the entire house, however, so if I was interested in talking about ways to scale it back, we could do so. Since they had already been out to the house 3 times (I had twice stayed home from work to let them in), I was not interested in further discussions. I subsequently contacted another basement water-problem firm. They sent someone out immediately; he explained what my problem was, explained that his company did not have the required expertise to fix it; and gave me two recommendations of other companies that could. His solution makes a great deal of sense, and we will be able to do it at a fraction of the $74K cost suggested by All Aspects Waterproofing.

He even showed us a video. He was extremely thorough. Then he called a couple weeks later to follow up. Very professional and understanding.

From start to finish All Aspects Waterproofing are true professionals. They assessed the problem we were having with exterior water entering our basement, provided a timely estimate and sent a very capable crew who finished the work in two days. We received three estimates from area contractors and their price fell in the mid-range. We are very satisfied with the results and highly recommend their services.

Several issues arose during the job. I called and was highly impressed with their responsiveness. The french drain/sump pump installation was top notch. I was very happy with their product.

The salesman Robert Ellis was wonderful. My grandmother has suffered with the frustration and headache of a leaking fully finished basement for almost fifty years. Every one of the (many, many) question my Grandmother asked, Robert answered with the kind of patience and care one never expects from a salesperson. He made sure that every concern we had was taken care of Robert treated us like family. I have never been so satisfied with a salesperson. The crew that came to do the work was incredible. Eli, Frankie and the guys were not only a pleasure to have around for the three days the work took, the quality of the work they did was impeccable. I have never seen a crew pay as careful attention to construction work as they did. My Grandmother can finally relax knowing she has a dry basement, and I can rest easy knowing that she and I were in good hands all along. Everything was just perfect.

I contact All Aspects on a Monday morning, was greeted professionally. The person I spoke with took down some basic information, and had another scheduler contact me back promptly - this was within the hour. I have a difficult schedule and she was able to find me an appointment with Jeff for the next day. Jeff gave me a courtesy call a couple hours before the appointment, and my schedule was free and he was nearby so he came right over. The drainage job I need is too small for them to put a crew on it, but he very patiently and clearly explained why my initial thoughts about solving the problem weren't going to work. He then showed me a better (and simpler) method for solving my problem which wouldn't cost me very much in time or materials. Further, Jeff gave me a couple of ideas for how to present the fix to my condo association. I did offer to pay him for the consult, which he refused, but the 40 minutes he spent helping me figure out how to deal with it were invaluable. I appreciated his advice, professionalism and counsel. If I had a large enough job, I would have hired them on the spot just based on that.

A+++++++++++++++. These guys could not have been better. Minor scheduling glitch upfront was handled with them accommodating me at MY convenience. Great and very helpful. Randy communicated with me before arrival to assure they had all they needed for the job. Randy and Brian were on time for the start and just very nice to work with. They really could not have been nicer. I asked about a better unit, but Randy told me that what they were installing was the standard unit they use and would be more than adequate for the job. Se said that spending more would not be of benefit to me. Very honest. The did the work perfectly. VERY IMPRESSED. Would not use anyone else. My highest recommendation.

Had water damage in basement, and set up appointments with five (5) companies. Four of the companies provided estimates ranging from $8,240 - $11,600 requiring major structural impact to the foundation. ALL ASPECTS regional manager was the last estimator and was confused regarding the other proposals. He discovered that there was no structural issue/wet basement issue, rather there was a plumbing issue. Thanks to their honesty and expertise, I saved thousands of dollars and the structure of my home.

We had problems with water coming up from underneath our house and into the walkup basement door. I had no idea whether or not this was a major issue. I looked on Angies List and chose All Aspects Waterproofing based on the reviews. Robert Ellis came to our house free of charge and did a very thorough inspection of the situation. He even had to explain things twice since I showed up after he had started discussing things with my husband. Robert was very kind and did a good job of explaining the potential processes and what he thought was causing the problem. As expected, he couldn't fully diagnose the cause with a basic inspection but he did make some suggestions of things to implement in order to determine the cause. He said he didn't think that the situation warranted a major remediation at this point. He said it was likely that minor precautions would address the problem. I was glad that he didn't try to scare us into some major commitment. He said to try his recommendations and contact him if the problem still persisted so he propose other solutions. We have recently finished implementing his suggestions and we are still waiting to determine if the problem is solved. I appreciated the time Robert took to make sure we understood the issues and I especially appreciate that he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.

After a water pipe break in our basement had us rip up all the carpet and remove all items stored in the basement we also noticed some water that seemed to be coming in from the foundation walls. I immediately started looking for Water Proofing companies on Angies List. Based on All Aspects ratings and reviews I contacted them first. I have to say we will not be looking for any one else! Steve came to our house to complete an inspection and provide us a solution to out problem. I had general knowledge of types of water proofing but Steve raised that level of knowledge 100%. First he was prompt and called when he was on his way. he walked with my husband around the inside and outside of the house. They talked awhile (I was running late) and discussed why the water was coming in and best practices etc. He waited for me to arrive home and walked me through the project and pricing. He was very professional, kind and patient with all of my questions. In the end he left us with the full quote and lots of good information. His company is prepared and professional. The price was fair in my opinion. I have had friends who have done the same type of water proofing pay much more. When Steve left I felt like he and his company would provide a good service at a fair price and I did not feel pressured or like I had sat through a sales pitch. We are not contracting at this time due to financial strains on our part but will be calling All Aspects once we have the money for the project! Thanks Steve!

It went very well. I think they did a very good job. I was very pleased with them. It’s very expensive but I think they did a good job. They were very nice. They came and they went. The person told me that they’ll be here and they’ll do everything and then clean it up and he was right. It went very smoothly. They are very friendly. The person who came here to give me the estimate was very nice, very friendly and very good. They pulled everything out from the basement, every single thing. They really cleaned up. It was always neat. There was nothing. They took out the couch for me and they didn’t charge me for that. The guys just listed and took and listed and took and threw away. They took out the stove for me and they took out the refrigerator for the kitchen and no complains. They couldn’t do enough. In fact, they were always helping. They were really nice guys. I was very happy with it.

Last Monday our sump failed and resulted in a flood of a small area in the basement. Robert Ellis arrived this morning at the time that was scheduled and inspected the area, the sump pump and the discharge area outside. He presented me with a few options in terms of remediation and explained the pros and cons of each. Ultimately, I determined that the source of the water and issues at this time were the result of the sump pump and not leaks eminating from the walls or the slab. Robert provided me with advice as to the best way to adress the sump pump issue and also explained in detail how All Aspects could help should I encounter other water issues. I greatly appreciated Robert's honesty and integrity in helping me find the right solution at this time, instead of being focused on selling me on a solution. Should a further need arise, Robert will be my first and only call.

Robert Ellis, an inspector for All Aspects, provided outstanding service. He gave the exterior of the house and the basement a thorough inspection. We discussed the problem at length. We have water that sometimes gets into our basement from up under the stairs and the back door, comes down the unfinished wall, and travels down to a drain in the floor of the unfinished basement. Recently the water was getting into the finished part of our basement. Rob emailed us photos from the inspection and provided a plan for addressing the issue from the inside (with a trench drainage system with Miradrain for the wall and a sump pump) and provided a price quote. He explained everything very clearly and was very friendly, professional and helpful. After a few days we called Rob back, because we planned to move forward with the work, and he scheduled another appointment to bring another inspector, Steve, from All Aspects to provide a second opinion. Rob and I explained to Steve everything we had discussed and he took another look around the house and basement. He pointed out several inexpensive and less expensive things he would suggest we try to do (dealing with some cracks and gaps outside) on our own or with other appropriate contractors to address the problem from the outside of the house. He recommended we get back in touch later if needed. Really smart advice and so helpful to have that additional perspective. These estimates were free and the inspections were extremely helpful. The inspectors were really knowledgeable. My husband and I really appreciated how forthcoming and professional the inspectors were. They care first about helping the customer and solving the problem above just selling their services. A truly great company. We haven't worked our way through all of the smaller fixes we need to try but have gotten started. If those fixes don't solve the water problem in our basement, we definitely will use All Aspects to do any waterproofing work!

In September 2011, we had water come into our basement from the window wells from Hurricane Irene. On the unfinished side of the basement, this was no big deal to clean up. On the finished side the clean-up caused me to discover that we probably had a history of years of water leaking in from the window well and the cove joint. Yes, I?m a little slow uploading this review, but better late than never. The reasons we decided to go with All Aspects was the professionalism of the estimator; the price; and the fact that both my wife and I did not have to be at the appointment. I was frustrated with the two other companies, (which I will not dime out) whom we contacted for estimates. Both of these companies( who we did not chose) insisted that both/all owners needed to be there ? ugh! So this was a fairly major project as it involved jack-hammering a roughly 2' wide and 3? deep ( to the footers) trench around the almost the complete perimeter of the basement of our Colonial?s basement , drilling pressure relief holes in the foundation walls, installing drain mats along the walls and installing a ~5" diameter tile drain line in the trench feeding the new sump. We also installed window-well drains that tied into tile drain. The crew chief also recommended tying our air conditioner condensation drain into the new tile drain. This was awesome, as it got rid of a hose that was formerly draining the A/C water into our floor drain. The jack hammering and dirt removal took the better part of a day, followed by the rest of work ? about four days total. We also have a four-season porch that a previous owner in the distant past, made the lower level into a basement-shed (not connected to the house?s basement) when they converted in from a screened-in porch to a four-season porch. The porch?s basement-shed has always had cove-joint water issue and we took this opportunity to fix the problem now while addressing the water issue in our living space. This turned into a ?small? challenge as we found out the porch is built on a slab versus footers ? so we had to adjust. For a very minimal extra cost (materials only) All-Aspects waterproofed the exterior of the porch basement shed and put in an external ~5? diameter French Drain tied into the sump they replaced in the porch?s basement shed. Everyone involved, from the estimator, to management (special shout out to Nelson and Rusty) and the installation crew was all professional. The work crew were punctual, the crew chief (cannot remember his name) did an outstanding job of both keeping us advised and keeping things moving. They cleaned up nicely both at the end of each day and when the job was completed. All Aspects Waterproofing did an outstanding job for us and I would recommend them for similar work. The guarantees and the transferable "dry basement certificate" were pluses, but the professionalism and the quality of the work make the price worthwhile. We selected All Aspects Waterproofing based on Angie's List reviews/recommendations and they proved to be quite accurate.
