Robert spent the time to explain that there were some alternatives that I could do myself prior to spending money on his services. He was very detailed and helpful. After our discussions, Imdecided to try some of his suggestions to see if that would solve my problem. He was very knowledgeable.

Bob was incredibly helpful. He walked through our options to deal with the water, including presenting a wide range of options depending on how much we were willing to invest. He took as much time as we needed to make sure we understood what the issue was and his proposed solutions. The price he eventually quoted us was very reasonable. Ultimately we decided not to address our water issue at this time, but will definitely be in touch with All Aspects when and if we do.

Jamie quickly decided that a full basement solution and sump was not required. (contrary to what another company had insisted). He recommended improving the grading and drainage of the backyard to resolve a related issue. It was a pleasure to deal with a company that was interested in solving my problems rather than selling unneccesary services

Prompt call back from the company for scheduling. I had to wait however to get an appt. This was fine with me as I was not having severe water problems. The wait was worth it. Robert Ellis, one of their water proofing inspectors showed up timely, giving a call prior to his arrival. He was professional and came to the door with his card and clipboard in hand. He provided the most thorough and informative inspection I have received. He even stuck his hand in my current sump pump to ascertain it was in working order. He provided several suggestions and recommendations that I could or could not do. He did not push or give me any price quotes for work, but rather gave suggestions that we could do ourselves. He mentioned never to use waterproofing sealers on block walls, using water sensors, getting a regulator switch for the pump, cleaning out the drains, having the humidifier go to the sump pump, etc. . In the event those fail, I can recontact them for a quote. I would have to say this was by far, the best free estimate I have received. Well worth it to get All Aspects inspector's opinions. If nothing else, you will learn something.

Our basement was finished- complete with a bedroom and living room - we paid a company to help demo the area in order to save as much materials as possible to reinstall. Where tiled, we were told we could just cut back leaving enough room to install the drain, keeping the rest of the tiling intact, so that is what we did. When the crew arrived the first day, they were concerned about the available space for dropping a truckload of gravel. We were not told ahead of time that this would be required and did not have a good location around our house....the team seemed very frustrated by this and we were frustrated we were not told ahead of time to prepare for this. For the most part we removed everything from our (formally finished) basement and only had some shelving of basement type storage for them to work around that I asked they cover in plastic. They did, by stapling plastic to our ceiling- making small holes in multiple locations. While doing the work, they used the basement bathroom - I realize they would need to use the bathroom during the day - but disappointed that they did not take care to cover any of the flooring or clean up after themselves - the tile and grout was left very dirty. Additionally, the closet tile that I was told could remain intact was not covered either. This tile, grout and threshold ended up completely scratched and damaged and I just learned this morning is not salvageable and will have to be replaced at an additional cost to us. I will say we did get a good price compared to another company and the sales guys were very responsive and honest. When I had asked about a battery backup, they explained the shortcomings of installing what would be a very expensive addition too the pump and recommending a much more reliable option of a portable generator, at 1/2 the cost. I really appreciated the honesty as this project was already extremely expensive for us. Our air conditioning was acting a little funny after the jack hammering - our AC company replaced a metal strap that had become lose - and All Aspects has agreed to reimburse me for the service call. I will be contacting them about the tiles once I have an invoice from our contractor and hope they are just as helpful again. All in all, they did install a working system and have a fantastic warranty that transfers with the sale of the house - a primary reason we chose to go with them. I am just a little disappointed in the care that was taken for our house while they were working in our space. Update: All Aspects did agree to reimburse us for the damaged tiles in the closet.

Do call them even if you have to wait for 2 months. I was fortunate that my 2 months wait turn to a 3 day wait because someone cancelled. Great advice from Jeff and being able to learn logical solutions makes owing a house less scary.

All Aspects Waterproofing did a superior job at my residence. Clarence Woods was my AAW Inspector/estimator; Clarence was extremely patient and will to do the work to my specifications. From what I can tell, AAW is committed to their customers. The foreman (I believe his name was Kenny) and his crew arrived earlier and after we reviewed what was to be done, Kenny got his crew to work. The crew installed the plastic containment sheeting and got the negative air filtration system running to prevent the mold from circulating in their work area and in the rest of the house. Kenny's crew was quite efficient and polite and got the vast majority of the work done the first day! They even cemented some surface cracks on the exterior walls without charge and installed another drain in the basement to cover the area over the existing drain opening. The next day the crew arrived on time and installed the grifflyon vapor barrier on the walls, to grade in most cases. They also cleaned the area very nicely (better than it looked before). I recently had the basement refinished after several soaking rains because it was dry for the first time in many years! I highly recommend All Aspects Waterproofing; their professionalism, work ethic and skill are superior! I can tell that the owner of the company highly prizes customers happiness and satisfaction. I am happy to say that I am definitely one of those!!

I called this company to see if they could come out and do a sump pump maintenance and battery check. I got the run around from Nelson whom I spoke to on the phone. I got the impression that he REALLY wanted to sell me a new sump pump, which I don't need. I told him that there were other companies that do a sump pump maintenance and battery check. He then stated that he would be able to get someone out to my house and check the pump and battery, but if it didn't work 10 minutes after his employee left, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. He reluctantly agreed to schedule a "maintenance" for me, but would not do it on a Monday, which is the only day I have off from work. He stated that he could set up an appointment for me for Monday, but if an existing customer were to call for service, then he would have to bump me to another day (in other words, he would have to reschedule me). So much for customer service. Why would you say that to someone who is a potential customer? So I get the impression that if you don't spend lots of money with this company or if you are not an existing customer, they don't want to have anything to do with you. Or at least Nelson doesn't. I told him how about me looking for another company to do this and I hung up on him.

The inspector showed up on time, and was polite; however, we did not receive the estimate. It appears the company sent the proposal on time, but there was an email error. When I posted on Angie's List that we had not received the proposal, the owner contacted us immediately. We received the proposal shortly after he contacted us. Since I do not yet have other proposals, I don't know how it compares to other prices.

I have used All Aspects twice to waterproof the basements of two different houses. In both cases they installed a French drain system with sump pump around the perimeter of the house, after which we finished the basements. So far both systems have held up well! Steve (my point of contact) was wonderful to deal with - very congenial, super-responsive. I would absolutely use them again.

They were very clear about the work that they would do. We were trying to make a decision on which contractor to use. They were careful to explain their experience in this kind of work. One of the basement comments we had is that it’s not that unusual on a new building or a newly built home which made us feel better. They were on time, did the work that they promised and were easy to communicate with. The identified what the problem was right away. It’s good that they were familiar with that kind of problem.

Steve Maney w/ All Aspects Waterproofing came to my (1944 Cape Cod) house on May 17 to assess my ongoing issue wwith water in my basement after particularly heavy rainfalls. Steve assessed the situation inside and outside, and made the recommendation to install a 75' French Drain with window well taps. Steve explained the logistics of how the system would work and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. The All Aspects crew showed up on-time and the foreman and I walked through the planned work.. They made every effort to protect the basement furnishings from dust and finished the job in one day and did a thorough cleanup. I found the crew to be friendly as well as professional. I received post-job correspondence from All Aspects to ensure my needs were addressed correctly. I would recommend All Aspects to anyone requiring waterproofing services for a honest assessment of your needs and professional completion of the job.

I first called All Aspects in early May. I left a message and was called back the same day. I was told that the earliest I could be seen would be in 6 weeks, June 21st., between noon and 2pm. At first I was quite surprised by the length of the wait but, it was explained that with the recent deluge of heavy rain in the area, the company was overwhelmed with calls and this was the first opening they had. I took the appointment and also called a couple of other places in the meantime for additional quotes. On June 20th I received a call reminding me of my appointment, the time of the appointment and that the gentleman coming to give me the estimate was named Steve. The next day at approximately 11:30am, I received a call from Steve telling me that he would be arriving in about an hour. At 12:30pm Steve showed up and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. He looked completely around the outside of my house at the foundation and chimney. He then went into the basement and checked all that he could there including the condition of the sump pump. He concluded that the issue with my foundation is most likely due to the age of my house (92 years) and is not structural, my chimney is fine and it doesn't seem that I'm having any real water issues. Steve suggested that the problem may be the wooden sill sitting on top of the foundation wall. It may be rotting and if that's the case, a carpenter would be needed. He further suggested that it might make sense for me to contact a structural engineer first to make sure I know exactly what is going on with my house before I proceed with more estimates. I so appreciated Steve's honesty, thoroughness and suggestions. One company I had contacted wanted to do all kinds of waterproofing to the tune of $4000. A second company had me send pictures and based on them, told me that they couldn't help me at all. I am going to go ahead and hire an engineer to give me a real idea of what is going on with my house and if he/she feels I need work done that is under the auspices of All Aspects. I will be calling them to do the work.

Steve arrived on time for the appointment and was very professional. He did a very thorough inspection of the problem areas and determined that the problem was indeed where wall and floor joined. He gave us his recommendation to install a Miradrain WallSystem around the 3 outer walls (we live in an end unit townhome) and a heavy duty sump pump that would be connected to our current battery back up system. Steve did a good job explaining the work that would be done, how it would be done, and how the system would work after installation. He also did a good job answering all of our questions. Steve provided us a folder with his certifications and customer recommendations, which impressed us, when he gave us the estimate. We submitted our claim to the Home Warranty company and it was denied because it was not a structural defect. We will eventually have the work done once we've set aside enough to cover the cost because we think this system will help. We chose All Aspects Waterproofing because of the good reviews posted on Angie's List. Even though we haven't had the work done yet, my husband and I recommend All Aspects Waterproofing because we feel that they will do a good job and do it right.

We had a very good experience with them, they were super, it seems to be quality work, sometimes you have to pay for quality so i feel comfortable with the price, always on time, very professional, they told us exactly the days they will be here, they got here on time and they finished within the windows of time that they said and that always happen with contractors, they were really good and I would recommend them to other folks, their crew is very very good.

Robert Ellis came out from All Aspects and recommended a drainage system which I agreed needed to be done. Robert gave me an excellent price based on the amount of work that needed to be done. Robert gave me a detailed description of the work that needed to be done and answered all of my questions. The installation crew was excellent. They arrived early on Monday and spent a little over two days working on the project. The four men worked long hours with very few rest periods. On Tuesday they worked over 12 hours. The crew really knew what they were doing and I would definitely use them again.

They did a great job, and we particularly enjoyed working with Zeke. He was very responsive and helped us coordinate with the contractor, which technically was not a part of their service (but made the payment totally worth it). Since their work, we've had no issues.

I've had a sporadic leak in my kitchen; my house sits on a slab, and there seems to be an issue with the juncture with my neighbor's townhouse. I called for an appointment after yet another leak. The setup was handled well, and I received a reminder call before the appointment. Jeff was quite early for the appointment to do the estimate, but communicated that and made it known it was OK if that didn't work with my schedule. He quickly determined the problem, and advised that the problem could be fixed by a handyman for a few hundred dollars instead of spending thousands of dollars with his company. He described the fix in detail and explained everything thoroughly. I don't have to use All Aspects, but I appreciate the honesty with the estimate. I would definitely contact them for any future needs.

I contacted this company hoping they could help us with grading issues in our yard. There has been a tremendous amount of rain in the Rockville, MD area. When I called the office secretary took my name and number. Then a few hours later another woman called. She told me they could come to see my house in August. I was quite upset since the call was made the last week in May. She said it was very busy and that August is the first time they could come look at our problem with work probably happening in September. I told her I was an Angie's list member and I was going to share this information in my review. Later that day Tony from the company called to talk with me. He spent 15 minutes on the phone listening to our water saga and then said they have received 800 phone calls within the the last few weeks. They were doing their best to see everyone but even as a middle sized company they could not help everyone. Tony said he knew of another company nearby our home who might be able to help me. Tony said he would call the next day with the number. He followed up the next morning as promised. He provided the name and number of a company 2 miles from our house. I made contact with that company and they are planning come out to inspect tonight or tomorrow night. Tony even followed up this morning with an email asking if I was able to reach the other company. Although this company could not help me I want to post this review because it shows that they are trying to help even though they are so swamped (no pun intended...) they still want to help those who they cannot see until August. I did put my name on the list just in case this other company is unable to help.

It took awhile to get a response and estimate. The installation crew arrived on time and did an excellent job - the whole job was done in one day. All work was done by hand and followed by a good cleanup and replacement of sod. The project was expensive even with the Angie's List member discount of 10% - $443.00. So far the system has worked well. No more water in my basement. Exterior work of this type includes no warranty.

All Aspects was GREAT. First of all they came out for the free estimate mere days after the storm. I must have called 8 or 9 water proofing companies the day after the storm. Some of the other companies never even called me back. All Aspects was just as busy as they were, but they found a way to get out to us for the estimate. They came out and walked all around our whole property and spent time talking with my husband and I to find the cause of the flooding in our basement. They helped us diagnose the problem during the estimate and explained that the fix was something we could likely do on our own. They have literally saved us thousands of dollars and the pain of having unnecessary work done to the house. The other waterproofing company that came out did not try to diagnose the problem, but rather tried to sell us a very expensive in home french drain system, which while it would have worked to keep the basement dry would not have solved the actual problem. So glad to see that some companies still believe in honesty and integrity. Would definitely use them again if needed and have already suggested to friends that they call if they have an issue.

Mr. Ellis described how the water could be entering the door frame and suggested ways to solve the water problem. I appreciated Mr. Ellis's honesty and professional knowledge on wet basements.

After agreeing on the price and signing a contract the company contacted me to schedule the job while obtaining the necessary permits for the work to be done. The 3 man working crew showed up an hour early. The lead guy came into the basement to survey the job site and after looking it over decided to make changes to the original plan. Although it made me nervous that the plans were being changed, the crew waited until I could talk to the other guy who came up with the initial plan to make sure that the new idea was solid and to make sure that the price would not change regardless of any increase of labor/equipment. After their assurances the crew quickly got to work. The job took almost 6 hours and the crew had to do a lot of heavy lifting etc. All the rocks were removed from my basement, a new sump pump was installed with a drain line to the back yard drilled through cement, and the area was filled back in with the proper type of rocks. I do not have a walk in basement so they had to hand carry everything up and down the stairs and out the garage. They did a fairly good job of containing all the dirt and rocks. They used drape towels over my floors and carpets and basement stairs. Before leaving they cleaned up the area, swept my driveway, and removed all trash/cardboard I had in the basement. The workmanship was great. They did awesome work. My only complaint was that they dust got everywhere from the job causing my heater to malfunction. I had to have a guy come out and clean the fire sensor for it to work again. If an air filter had been used during the job like planed, it probably would not have happened. After speaking with the company about this they immediately apologized and reimbursed me for the cleaning. I never expect perfection from a company but I am always happy when they are willing to take responsibility and resolve the matter quickly. I am impressed with their customer service and skillful work. I would definitely recommend this company.

We got estimates from 3-different basement waterproofing companies all with excellent ratings from Angie?s List. I choose All Aspects Waterproofing Company because Jeff Basham seemed very knowledgeable about ?all aspects? of waterproofing and foundation problems. He provided me with several different options and met all of my expectations superbly. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. Their estimate was a little more than the others but after some negotiating we were able to reach an agreeable price. When the crew arrived they did a very good job of enclosing the area with plastic to minimize dust and even had a machine to extract dust to the outside. I was very pleased with the work and even the local inspector commented that they did a nice job. I?m sure the other companies would have done a nice job also but I liked what I saw with All Aspects. I would highly recommend All Aspects Waterproofing for any basement or foundation issues. I did have an issue with the battery for the backup sump pump. The battery would not take a charge. I called Nelson of the service department and he delivered a new battery the next day. Service was excellent, and I hope it will remain that good since they now have received final payment. The only negative I have to offer is that they have no relationship with an electrician; therefore it was my responsibility to have a GFI circuit installed for the new sump pump. Jeff made me aware of that beforehand, but it would have been fewer headaches for me if they had an electrician they could recommend. Otherwise I have no complaints and I?m very pleased.

Prompt response to phone call. Prompt review. Good communication between office and inspector. Good communication with inspector (he even gave his phone number for follow-up discussions.) What distinguished All Aspects Waterproofing from the other company that I called was that the All Aspects inspector thoroughly analyzed the relevant room in the basement (and the adjacent outdoor area) and let me know my options. Since the source of our water marks appeared to be historical (pre-dated re-routing of the gutters and area was bone dry during extremely wet period), we had never experienced periodic basement flooding associated with rainstorms, and other potential issues were minor and able to be isolated and addressed after some further fact-finding with the long-term resident, our actual requirements were for some small fixes, rather than a sump pump system. As a result, we didn't require the warranted system that All Aspects provides unless we felt it necessary to obtain a "warranty" that we could show to potential home buyers. (All Aspects isn't in the business of doing the relatively minor work that we required without installing the full system--we offered the business to them.) Since the All Aspects' inspector was honest and thorough, we would recommend this company and trust them to identify and fix issues and install a decent system where required. The representative that a competitor sent didn't bother to look behind the drywall or even to try and identify the actual issues--all he wanted to do was to sell us his sump pump system.
