All Aspects Waterproofing

We are highly pleased with our waterproofed basement. All Aspects was one of four companies we interviewed; it was not the most nor the least expensive, but it was the only one that talked about getting permits (one for construction and one for general plumbing) as required by Fairfax County, which was a very important point for us. The estimate was thorough and contained everything we had talked to Jeff Basham about. When we had further questions, Jeff answered them quickly and completely. The crew members were amazing. The job took 2-3 days and they worked tirelessly and cheerfully always. I would recommend All Aspects Waterproofing to anyone who wants the job done well and in a totally professional manner.

Clarence Woods from All Aspects came out earlier than I was expecting but at a wonderful time, we'd just had the super rainfall of the century in Glen Burnie and at one point had over a foot of water in our basement (also our bedroom!). He looked over the foundation and what he could see of the block walls and suggested that a new drain be laid inside the perimeter of the basement and that they could seal the cracks. He did say he needed to take a look at the walls before work started and was able to recommend a wonderful group of guys to come out and pull out our paneling and old tile floor. (They were super quick and were done in hours. Unfortunately, once the paneling came off a huge cracks spanning two of the walls were found. In the end it was determined that the two walls needed metal beams to shore up the foundation. After we got our estimate I spoke to another neighbor that said a house across the street had their wall cave in on them! It took a bit of time to get the beams ordered and in the basement, but once they started work (over two weeks ahead of their estimated start time) they were done in three days. They explained anything I had questions about. Clarence in particular has been great, as this has taken over two months to get totally done (partially my fault as I had to clean out the basement!), but he's always been there for us! They were very considerate and conscientious and when a few little leaks sprung up after the last storm they were out within an hour to inspect and within two days to fix the problem. They said to wait a month to let everything settle and cure and boy am I glad they did. These guys have been wonderful, they explain what they are doing, are super easy to work with and they do a great job. I'm so glad that I found them! They may be backed up with work, but they are so worth the wait!

Robert Ellis came by my property right on time. He proceeded to listen to my problem (water damage) to understand why I wanted someone to look at my issue. He inspected the house and pointed out areas that "could" lead to water damage. I found this very educational. We then went downstairs because I felt that I "could" have mold in the house as a result of some minor water leaks. I had a contractor come by earlier that week and he "sounded the alarm" and told me all sorts of stuff that needed to be done to rid ourselves of mold (which he felt he was 100% sure on). Robert simply looked at my mold problem and gave me his advice, which was in his opinion to save my money. He told me what mold "should" look like based on his years of experience......and after I told him that I DID weatherproof my door area (where I felt the water was coming in from), he asked me more questions. There had been no more leaks of water that I could see......even with VERY heavy rain. Based on all the information, he recommended that if I wanted to have a piece of mind I could go buy a legit mold kit and test my basement area (which is unfinished so you can really see the wood). He also recommended to re-seal the entire area again before this next winter season. Outside of that.....I didn't have mold, there was no need to pay the $5K-$7K the previous person quoted me. I really appreciated Robert's honesty. He even volunteered to speak to my wife (who was upstairs with our 3 young kids and couldn't listen to all the stuff we were talking about). She felt better and I felt better. I'm still going test the basement anyway, but since my water leaking was minor (in my opinion and Roberts)....I felt better about my overall issue with water leaking. If I have any water damage in my basement, I know who I will call first.

Our first contact with All Aspects Waterproofing was with Robert who came to do a site survey and give us a quote. He was very thorough and detailed. He listened to what we wanted, heard all of our concerns, and came up with a plan that worked for us. We felt we were working with him to come up with a solution. Nothing was forced on us, and everything was explained thoroughly. We were completely comfortable with the approach and the plan, and confident that All Aspects would do a good job. We had a competitive bid from another company and it required that we move our 275 gallon fuel oil tank. All Aspects did not require that we move the oil tank, and they assured us they could work around the tank. That is one of the reasons why we selected All Aspects Waterproofing. The work crew, Eli and his two assistants, were the absolute best! They worked there a**** off and got the job done. We were very impressed with their skill and efficiency. Eli worked expertly around and under the fuel oil tank. Eli was a master at digging up the concrete floor, installing the French drains and sump pump, and at doing the final concrete work to finish off the floor. Eli?s assistants also worked very hard. They removed 3.5 tons of old concrete and soil from the house and, after the French drain system and sump pump were installed, filled in the area with 3.5 tons of gravel and new concrete. They did all this using only 5 gallon buckets. Joey, the service manager, was very responsive and provided excellent follow-up service when we had to redo a small section because of a fuel oil leak. Throughout the job, the workers were very clean, very respectful of our property, and did not create a mess in the basement. Every employee of All Aspects Waterproofing was pleasant, friendly, hardworking, and took great pride in doing a good job. And, they were very tolerant of a nosey homeowner who asked a lot of questions and who took pictures of every step of the process. Overall, I can?t say enough good things about All Aspects Waterproofing, and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

They were quick, clean, and professional. We could not be happier with the end result. Our only suggestion to potential clients is have them install a back up sump pump for you especially if your basement is finished. Not doing that was our mistake. We highly recommend All Aspects.

It was good! The basement has been dry ever since and we are pretty excited about it.

Nothing but good things to say about the estimator and the actual team. All were punctual, professional throughout, concerned with my property, etc. The team was originally to arrive on 6 Nov, but rain was in the offing for the entire day. The team leader called the evening prior to request the work be pushed back to Friday. No problem at my end. The three man team arrived around 9 AM and went to work quickly. The work was first rate and wrapped up by 3 PM. Trying to rationalize the cost of the job has not been easy. A team leader, 2 laborers, a few hundred in supplies, no special tools and travel. Looks like I paid around $170/hr for laborers. Mercedes Benz maintenance doesn't cost that much. For the work done $2000 would have been high. I didn't really do my homework on this one. Will be awake next time.

They were professional and patient. The salesman came prepared and answered everything. Made me feel like a valued customer. The finished product was great.

We called All Aspects because we had a small amount of water and mold in a corner of our basement. Someone was out within a week. Jeff, the senior inspector, arrived right on time and was extremely knowledgeable of the type of water issues we were having and gave us various options for how to remedy them. The estimate was free, and he took over an hour to explain everything to us. He honestly explained that fixing the root cause of the water issue is likely untenable, he gave us a few different ways to help diminish the water and mold.

All Aspects did a wondful job from begining to end. The inspector came out, Robert Ellis, and looked at the problem I had with my window well in the basement. He advised me what the job would entail in putting a new drain system into the well. He was extremely knowledgeable and very nice. He went the extra mile and helped me remove a portion of the panel to take a look if I had any mold or if there was an existing drain system. He advised me of the time and labor involved and scheduled me for job. On October 23rd, Frankie and his crew arrived ontime and ready to work. Frankie explained in detail what he was going to do and answered all my questions. His crew was done inserted the system and sprayed for possible mold and were out of the house close to 1pm. They cleaned up and did a fantastic job. Thank you to Robert Ellis for being the face of your company and explaining the job and thank you to Frankie and his crew for the great job and understanding with all the questions I had. I can now sleep stress free knowing that my basement won't flood with the next storm. THANK YOU!!

From the initial visit to estimate the work to the cleanup All Aspects did a fantastic job. My home is nearly 50 years old and the basement had quite a bit of DIY remodeling done over the years but the All Aspects crew did a great job working around it to make sure the whole basement was waterproofed. They were considerate of my home and yard and completed the job on time for a price almost half what the competition quoted. I highly recommend them, but I don't expect to need them again!

They were very responsive all throughout the process - from the initial email to their visit. What I appreciated most about their visit was that 1) the guy who came for the visit was very good at explaining everything and educating us about our basement situation and 2) he did not try to push any unnecessary repairs on us. He let us know that we will probably need some work down the road, but that nothing needed to be done as yet (very different from another company that said we needed $8000 worth of repairs).

Joey was very professional. He arrived on time. He was courteous. He was very thorough in his explanations. He inspired confidence. We will not be using the company at this time as the problem has not resurfaced, perhaps because the weather has been relatively dry. However, we will hold on to the proposal in the event the problem recurs.

After months of fearing every rain storm, we finally decided to actually do something about the flooding in our basement. We contacted several providers and decided on All Aspects based upon other reviews, and the professionalism of the representative who came to our home. They reviewed all options with us, didn't push the most expensive services, and offered honest assessment of the pros and cons. The team came when they said they would and performed the work in 2 days instead of 3. They were courteous of our space and our desire to minimize dust. We weren't aware that the process of drying and curing the concrete would mean it would take longer than we expected to put things back in order, but overall we couldn't be happier with the service and would happily recommend them.

Not great on expanding, but I'll give the highlights. -All Aspects was very courteous and professional when speaking with them on the phone. They listened to what I needed and got someone out to give me an estimate very quickly. Clarence was the individual who evaluated the property and gave his opinion on what needed to be done. I couldn't have asked for more information or more professionalism. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us the estimate and told us how long it was good for, and even wrote in a couple extras that would be easy for them to handle without raising the cost. (It's very difficult to explain the extra, but we will go with sealing a basement walk-in.) - We waited longer than initially planned to schedule the work, but once we called Clarence and told him we wanted to move ahead he set up the work. They were very fast in getting to us. We were originally told that it could be a couple weeks as they were very busy, however, Clarence called stating there had been a postponement on another job and All Aspects was out there 5 days later. - The work was performed by Chito and his crew. Also very professional and friendly individuals. They set up the negative air system to keep dust down and got to work early. They worked non-stop through the day with very few breaks and were up beat the entire time. It's not east work, and I don't know how they stayed so happy in the heat. They finished before dinner and it Chito explained what they had done, showed me all the work and showed me the working sump pump. Haven't really had any heavy rains since I had the work done, but the concrete they poured in the basement to cover the drain system looks great and I haven't had any issues. I would definitely use them again. And Chito and Clarence are awesome.

It went excellent. Very polite, they worked very hard, and cleaned everything up. I had no complaints.

We got an estimate on basement waterproofing from a very kind an intelligent member of the All Aspects team. We were thoroughly convinced of the quality of their solution and the professional alism of the company. Unfortunately, because they provide high quality solutions, they are very busy. We waited 3 months for an estimate. We decided to go with someone else in the meantime, but still listened the pitch. The price was higher than we were quoted with a different company. They were willing to adjust their price some, but it took too long to get them in the house for an estimate. I was convinced the extra money for their price would have been well worth it.

Rob came out to do the estimate--he was on time and very helpful. He took the time to analyze the situation and provided options for me. He even gave me some tips on other (non-crawlspace) areas of the house I might want to have looked at. Much appreciated, as I am a first-time homeowner of an older home. He answered all of my questions about the various options, and did not pressure me to make a premature decision. I'm still deciding what to do with my crawlspace, but whatever I do I'll be calling All Aspects to do it.

Jeff, a Senior Inspector from All Aspects, was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. After inspecting the area, he provided a drawing of the basement structure and gave me an explanation of how the moisture entered the house. He indicated that unless there was water actually entering the area, there was no need for waterproofing at this time. I was extremely thankful and relieved with his assessment.

All Aspects did an excellent job from start to finish. Steve, the estimator was highly knowledgeable and helpful--he was willing to discuss in detail what was needed and how the repairs would work. The work crew came on the appointed day and worked steadily for two days They took care to do a good job, dealt well with the city inspection process, and finished everything up neatly. Waterproofing work is important, even stressful work to have done on a house--it's important not to cut corners and to go with a company that is serious and thorough. I found All Aspects to be such a company. Their estimate was not the cheapest I received but they showed the greatest knowledge about the work and care in getting to the bottom of the problem.

All Aspects was quick to respond to my request and schedule an appointment. We have had a problem of water getting into our laundry room from the outside, especially during heavy rains. Their inspector walked me around the house and pointed out things that we could do by ourselves to address the potential issue! I couldn't believe it! Here was a provider that was not trying to just sell me his services but add value in the discussion process. I am going to act on his suggestions and if the issue persists will definitely go back to All Aspects. It's great dealing with credible and trustworthy people! At least based on this initial experience, which was just the first consultation without any work done, I would highly recommend them!

Mr. Ellis spent a long time looking at my basement and explaining in detail all aspects of the waterproofing process, including various options for walls and drains. ("All aspects"--I wasn't even thinking of the company name when I wrote this.) He showed photos of previous work that showed all the steps of this heretofore mysterious process and encouraged lots and lots of questions. He gave me a clear sense of how pricing works. I had already had a few other estimates, and in comparison, all of the others seemed like packages. This one, on the other hand, was really tailored to this particular basement and its particular needs--or, more specifically, to what we hoped to gain from the work. Mr. Ellis was prompt, professional, and polite.
