All Aspects Waterproofing

We had Robert come out to our rental property to assess possible waterproofing remedies (after water leaked into our basement). Robert updated me earlier in the day on his arrival time and arrived promptly. Robert started by asking for as much detail about the house and then about the problem as I could provide. He then assessed the entire outside from our roof and gutters to the entry stairs and drain. Inside, Robert continued a thorough assessment. Robert gave me detailed information throughout his inspection as to what he was seeing and what were the causes and possible solutions. He showed me pictures and diagrams of the work that he suggested and made sure I was understanding everything he was suggesting and pointing out. Robert truly covered all aspects of the assessment and spend well over an hour walking me through the entire process, our options, and my numerous questions. In the end he provided me with a clear picture of what needed to be done to ensure the problem would not continue and gave me multiple options (at multiple cost levels) to review. I would truly recommend All Aspects Waterproofing and appreciate the time and thoroughness they provided us on this estimate.

Work was expected to take two days, but arrived early and stayed a bit late in order to complete in one day. Assist homeowner in moving items to clear work area. A smooth and pleasant experience that should address persistent water issues in basement.

They were by far the best contractor I've ever dealt with on any job of any kind. I can't say enough positive things about their work ethic, honesty, professionalism and overall customer service.

I submitted a request last Thursday for a free estimate on the All Aspects website, and Audrey contacted me within an hour or so to schedule the appointment for the following Tuesday. They gave me a 2 hour window, and a 30 minute "we're on the way" call which was greatly appreciated. This way, I could leave work and not have to take the entire day off. Jeff showed up on time and we went to the problem wall. He not only assured me that the structural integrity of the wall was fine, but explained what was going on (complete with a diagram and explanation of how my 70+ year old home was built). I also learned about mold as well as some of the changes I was seeing in the wall, and why they were normal. We then went outside and he pointed out some simple DIY things that could help. He also explained how the waterproofing would work, should we choose to pursue that route, with a rough estimate range based on the length of the wall to be addressed. I appreciated his punctuality, honesty, thorough explanation of home construction and his detailed description of what was going on and the remedies. While we are not pursuing the waterproofing at this time, we will make the changes he suggested. If we decide to have the waterproofing done in the future (very likely) we will definitely give All Aspects a call.

I was more than impressed with All Aspects. We were having some water coming in to our basement. I thought it was coming from the foundation. Jeff completed a comprehensive assessment and determined that the foundation was solid and no water was entering through it. He even went on to let me know it is coming in through the door jam. It seems my basement door and frame has run its course. I would highly recommend All Aspects for their honesty and knowledge of subject matter.

We cannot say how pleased we were with this company. We had some significant basement flooding issues with the rains this summer, so had multiple companies come out to give an estimate to fix the problem. Jaime gave us our estimate; not only was his price as good as any other of the companies, but he really took into account the house/yard layout to design the drain system so prevent flooding but not require any unneeded work. He answered all my questions in a detailed way, giving us confidence in their plan. He was very low pressure about the work and adding extra expenses. We decided to put 2 sump pumps instead of 1 as an extra measure; he had originally mentioned it as a possibility, but was honest it likely wouldn?t be needed and didn?t pressure us to get this - it was purely for our peace of mind. In scheduling our work, the company went the extra mile to find a time to fit us in so that all of the repair work afterwards (new tile/drywall, etc) could be done before our new baby was expected. Jaime actually talked with the owner of the company, and a job that was initially gone to be scheduled a month out started in less than 2 weeks. The job took a total of 2 days, exactly their estimation. The did a quick and efficient job, doing exactly what we had agreed upon. Because they are certified at mold removal, they were also able to take care of a couple of mold issues in our basement (one flood related, the other b/c of a leak). This saved us money by not having to use two companies. They kept the mess from all of the work self contained by using plastic to wall off the other areas of the basement/house, ventilating the basement, and covering over the vents. My wife appreciated how courteous all of the works were. Additionally, they went out of their way to redirect the sump pump drainage from where it had been with the original pump b/c of concern for cosmetics and to keep it from draining on the driveway as it had been...this was not in the contract but just part of their consistent effort to do a good job. After the job, there was one small area of minor damage to the drywall on another side of a wall that they resolved quickly and in a satisfactory manner. From start to finish, we were incredibly impressed with their work and their commitment to go beyond what was expected to do a good job. If you need waterproofing work done, try to get this company to do it for you. You won?t be disappointed.

This company was unable to do the repairs at this time but made excellent suggestions as to the source of the problem.

I have never dealt with a company that was so focused on the customer as All Aspect is. I really can't praise them enough for everything they have done for us. We first used them almost 10 years ago when the basement at our old house flooded through the window wells. I had been deployed to the Middle East during the flood, and All Aspects had taken care of the house and were really nice to my wife when it happened. Once we moved into our current home, we had some flooding issues due to seepage in the foundation. All Aspects installed a french drain on the sides of the house that was flooding, and they put in two sump pumps. We weren't able to have them install the entire perimeter at one time, but this year we had them out to finish the job. I remember last year when they came out they had to move our washer and dryer to do the work. When they unhooked the washing machine, one of the (really old) valves accidentally broke off. The service manager at All Aspects very selflessly came over to our house at nearly 6pm on a Friday night (when I'm sure he rather would have been home) just to make sure everything got hooked back up properly. The crew that has been to our house both times has been superb. The guys are super polite, and they clean everything up so that I wouldn't even know that had been there. And these guys work really hard all day lugging buckets of rocks and concrete up and down stairs, and they manage to stay professional and friendly through the end of the day. We've done business with All Aspects enough that we would never even get anyone else to give us a bid for a project now. We already know that their prices are very competitive from seeing their bids against other waterproofers, but more importantly, we know these guys do the highest quality work. I know that All Aspects is always going to treat us fairly and their work is always going to be top notch. I just wish I could find an equivalent to All Aspects for everything else I need in life. These guys really are the best. Their prices are fair, their work is high quality, and they really, really care about the customer.

Jamie arrived on time, surveyed my situation, and recommended several solutions. He was personable and very knowledgable. At the end of the day, he agreed that regrading our driveway was the best first step, reserving his company's services in the event that we still see water infiltration afterwards. Very upfront and honest, and I will certainly use All Aspects for any future water-related problems.

Soon after phoning, Robert arrived and assessed my water situation. He was informative and professional, clearly an expert in waterproofing. I would highly recommend. All aspects waterproofing to all my friends and neighbors.

Our pest control provider mentioned that our basement has some water problem, and it might be the reason why we have termite in our house. I was thinking that we might need a outdoor drainage system to fix the whole problem. Our inspector, Robert Ellis, gave us a call when he left his previous client to estimate when he will arrive, and he show up on time. After he arrive, we first walk around the house together to see all possible entrance of water (an I learn a lot from him) and he tell me what maintenance job I am able to do myself to prevent water coming into my house. Then, he use a moisture detector to inspect every wall in our basement. We find a wall that has higher moisture (but no standing water) behind the insulation, so I should be cautious about the wall in the future. He also examine my sump pump system, and explain me that my basement already has subfloor drainage system (which is good). I ask him whether I nee sump pump backup system, he recommend me that where I can buy the system online and install it myself. Not seeing clear water signal in my basement, Robert ask me why ask them to come and what I expect them to do. So I explain to him the reason I ask All Aspects waterproofing to come. He gives me a short class about how water coming into house. This is class is one of the best physics class I have ever heard (I have a PhD in theoretical physics), it absolutely make sense. Robert never ask me to buy anything I don't want (actually I really want buy something from him) and he suggest me that I probably don't need their service right now. But they will still do whatever I want if I insist and I have the money. Robert is a very knowledge person, and he is very patient about all my questions. It's a pleasure to talk to him. If I have water problem in my basement in the future, I would definite contect All Aspects waterproofing.

They made sure the utility company came out and marked the yard area before they began to dig. I told them there were very shallow television cables in a specific area that Verizon did NOT come out to mark even though All Aspects Waterproofing requested it. All Aspects Waterproofing was very careful around that area and found the cables and no cables were damaged or accidentally cut. They hauled the excess dirt away and replaced the turf so the dug up area was barely noticeable. I would definitely contact them again if I need additional waterproofing work.

Rob was on time and honest. Essentially, he explained that if we can live with the leaking we have in our unfinished basement, we don't need to spend thousands on it. I trusted his advise and would highly recommend him.

The inspector, Robert Ellis, was excellent. He called me to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and detailed in his explanations. He explained to me all our options and was never at any point a "salesman". I felt he was more of a "consultant". I would definitely recommend him to friends and relatives. My wife and I now need to review all the information he gave us and make our decision.

Rob Ellis gave us the estimate for the job. He was patient, didn't try to sell us things we didn't need, and was helpful in suggesting ways we could save money without sacrificing the integrity of the project. He quickly answered emails and phone calls - and there were a lot from us, as we had a number of issues that had to be resolved prior to work beginning. He was very easy to work with, and I felt very good about our choice simply on that basis. The workmen arrived on time, finished when they said - and there was bound to be some uncertainty - and were courteous. The work looks great. How well does it work? Ask me in a year - now I want it to rain! But I really won't be able to say how good the job was until we have gone through a season of rain, snow, melting ice, etc.; for a job of this type, time passing is the only way to truly know. But I do have confidence that they did the job well. My only complaint was the cleanup: they broke a stair in the basement, left chunks of debris and a pipe on the lawn, and hunks of dried concrete in my grass. I emailed the project manager, and he had someone come out to clean up more - that was fine, but with a large job, and a lot of lawn to cover while they moved their supplies, I could only see so much. The nylon binding rope they left in the grass was a surprise for my lawnmower - and I fished more out of the hedge. I feel I shouldn't have to follow them around pointing everything out. Would I use them again, or recommend them? Yes. I'd keep an eye on the cleanup, but the price was fair, they were courteous, prompt, did good work (cleanup notwithstanding), and were very responsive.

He was honest to tell me that most of my issues are due to poor grading and downspout drainage. He recommended on how to fix the issues on my own without spending thousands on unnecessary repairs. I appreciate the honesty and professionalism Jeff showed. I would highly recommend the company and would use them for future needs.

I recently sold my townhouse and the inspection showed some moisture on the basement walls. I called All Aspects and Clarence came to check it out. He found that my downspout on the outside of the house was clogged enabling water to drain down the outside wall and causing the moisture. He recommeded digging the clog out and painting the walls with an anti-moisture paint. All things we could do on our own for approximately $100! We were dreading a possible bill of thousands! He was on time, extremely professional and above all -Honest!!! He didn't even charge us for coming out! I highly recommend this company. Ill use them again for any future issues and you should too!

We were impressed from the beginning with our consultation with Robert Ellis. He is fantastic and spent about 3 hours at our house going over every detail of the project from start to finish. He walked us through the entire basement to explain areas of concern. He also used a moisture meter to locate where the more problematic areas were located. He took the information to determine what the best system would be to assure us that our basement would be safe from water damage. He had us view a video that explained the process that would take place before we made any decisions. We had 3 other consultations with other waterproofing companies, 2 were slightly less money, but we were so impressed with Robert and his "All Aspects" approach that we chose to contract them to do the work. The system that we needed and the way he explained every detail, we felt there was no other choice but to go with them. Their system, choice of products and material used to do the job seemed superior to the other companies. We needed to finance the work and they also helped find financing if needed. The job was started on 7/27 in the morning and was finished on 7/29 by dinner time. Our basement is very large, so this was very impressive. Robert had told us it would most likely only take them 2 days and he was spot on. They were very professional, efficient and worked like a well oiled machine. When they were finished after cleaning up, we could not tell they had been there to do the work. The inside and outside was left almost better then when they arrived. They even smoothed out the dirt around our window wells that we had dug ourselves and removed what was not needed. This company is true to their word and I would recommend them to everyone I know. We have a certified dry basement that transfers with the house as long as the structure is standing. This is very important to me. I purchased this home without being told about the water issues and I would not want to pass on a house with a major issue like we had. I feel like I now have peace of mind and no longer have to worry, that my home will be dry and we can enjoy our basement. Thank You All Aspects for being such a great company and providing exceptional work.

When half of the drain trench had been dug, the basement floor in that area dropped about an inch. They immediately ceased work and called in a structural engineer. He determined that the foundation was secure and that the drop in the floor was a result of erosion. He recommended that holes be drilled throughout the basement floor and filler material be added to support the floor and prevent further dropping. A week later All Aspects came back and drilled 2" holes approximately five feet apart, or closer where needed for larger voids, and filled with Bentonite clay for an additional $7900. They finished the waterproofing system in two days.

Rob called to let us know he would be running a little late, and then again to let us know when he was on his way, and still made it within the predicted window. He thoroughly examined the exterior and interior of the basement. We showed him the spots where we have specifically had trouble, and he explained to us what he saw there, and throughout the rest of the basement. He then gave us a very thorough explanation of how water can enter a basement (with pictures!), and the different ways homeowners and companies try to address it. He told us about the ways All Aspects approaches their work, and the others ways they are certified (mold remediation) and not (electricians). He did not try to sell us on extra things, and took plenty of time to discuss questions we had, what things we would need to move in order to complete the work, which things could change depending on what they found in the walls or flooring. He spent about 3 hours with us, and we signed that day. We do typically at least sleep on estimates, but we felt confident about the information All Aspects provided.

Initial Meeting: Robert explained everything in detail - Not just what his company would do, but why the basement is having the issues it is. He was early and stayed past 9 p.m. to ensure all of my questions were answered. He truly provided great customer service! Update: After my review a couple months ago (which covered the set-up appointment) and before the job was done; I reached out to Robert Ellis again a couple times and received above and beyond customer service! One of my interactions with him was regarding work their company does not even offer; yet he still provided me with guidance; which I'm very thankful for. Also, since I had to push back the installation date; they had someone come by my house and install one sump pump in the meantime - just in case! Installation: John and his crew worked hard for 3 days installing the French drain. They were very nice and took the time to ensure my kitchen floors wouldn't be damaged and to handle my doors with care. They even cleaned my unfinished basement which has partially-removed-multi-layered vinyl flooring! Even after payment, Nelson is trying to help me schedule the final inspection around my very limited schedule. I've received great customer service start to finish from everyone involved - Thank you!

This review is only about the inspector and the inspection process. We will update once the work is done. Robert Ellis was the inspector who came to our home. He realized earlier in the day that he was running behind schedule but he had the courtesy to call us to let us know when he would arrive and he called us again once he was on his way over to the house. He took time to sit down with us and explain how the water was getting into our basement and showed us pictures and examples of materials that they will use. He presented us with various options and was very willing to answer all of our questions. Robert was very knowledgeable and was able to explain what needed to be done in clear layman?s terms. We ultimately decided to hire All Aspects because of the time and patience he showed us. We got other estimates from two other companies and chose this company because their price was fair, and they took the time to explain the process. One company we got an estimate from was in and out of house in less than 30 minutes while Robert spent over 2 hours with us.

Extremely well--the situation was assessed and we were given valid and helpful information. They told us what was wrong provided a solution without charging. I was extremely impressed and will use for any waterproofing needs in the future!

At the time it all went very well. They showed up on time and did a great job of sealing in their work area as to not flood my house with dust. The building inspector came twice and both times passed the work with flying colors. It took me a year to write a review because I had never actually seen the sump pump work in a real storm. Over a year ago my basement flooded after an entire day of down pouring rain. This past weekend it down poured all day. I could hear the water flowing into the sump system from my window wells. I went outside in the storm and saw the end of the sump pump exhaust pumping water into my lawn. My basement stayed dry. I am very happy with the work done and I can say my house is in better shape for it.

Robert Ellis of All Aspects Waterproofing came to our home to inspect the problems in our basement and to give us his assessment. We'd already seen representatives from other companies. We really like Robert because of the time he took listening to our concerns and answering our questions. He was thorough in his inspection of our basement and he was the only inspector who also looked all around the outside of the house. He explained, in great detail, what was going on, and what solutions he recommended and then how, exactly, his crew would proceed. He did not do a hard sell at the end, which we really appreciated, but he certainly gave us every reason to use his company. He is a very pleasant business person to deal with and he instills confidence in his knowledge of this field.
