 + -1 moreI tried to reach J.R. Tubbs multiple times to no avail. I left messages and searched for them online to try to find alternate numbers, which I probably did! But I never reached anyone and I never heard back. They may not be in business anymore.

J R is very professional, knowledgible , and did a super and timely job. They also gave us great advice on other issues with our new house. We plan on using J R for future projects.  + 1 moreHe and his helper were as nice as could be. They are also good to have if you have any number of problems other then plumbing. He was the cheapest and did the best work out of any other plumber that I have hired. I hires a pluber in Fl. to fix a faucet and he was there for 10 minutes and charged me $185!!!!!!! I will hire Mr Tubbs if I need any other work done in a heartbeat!
Description of Work: Mr. Tubbs replaced a faucet and drain in my bathroom and also replaced the hoses going to the faucet. Removed a drain which I couldn't get out because it was broken and he had it out and replaced in a matter of minutes. He also replaced the overflow drain where a screw rusted off.

 + 5 moreI phoned J.R. Tubbs at around 6:30am after I discovered that I had no water and the temperature outside was well below freezing. He told me to turn off the water pump and water heater at the breaker box and said I would be first on his schedule and he arrived on time and went right to work determining the extent of the damage. The water pump was frozen and the pipes. He got the pipes unfrozen and re-primed the pump, made sure the pressure was good and sprayed foam insulation where it needed additional sealing on the pump house. He was here about 2 1/2 hours and there was no permanent damage to the pump or my pipes. He came and got right to work and I cannot say enough good things about J.R. and the work that he does. He has done other work for me and I will call him again in the future.

 + -1 moreThe original work order just called for installing new bathroom cabinets and vinyl flooring. We ended up recessing a wall and adding tile to the wall over the vanity. I was very pleased with his professionalism. He explained everything as he went along and brought to my attention any problems and we discussed the best way to handle it. I am having more work done and he will be the one doing it. I purchased the materials so the $1700.00 was his and his assistant's labor.
Description of Work: J.R. Tubbs remodeled my bathroom the rest of my bathroom after Re-Bath installed a fantastic shower. J.R. made sure that I had running water and a toilet working every evening and did not leave things a mess. I made a design change and added some more work that included tile work that was not in the original work order and recessing a wall. He was here every day and even came on Saturday's. I am very pleased and will post pictures. Since having this work done I have noticed some places on the tile above the vanity that I am not happy about. Luckily, most people will never notice but on the very bottom edge of the tile it's not even all the way across and a couple of places higher up the tiles really got crooked. Overall still pleased with the job but I don't think I would have him do any more wall tile for me. I think he would do a fine job on floor tile.

 + -1 moreI had trouble getting contractors to come and do the work once they gave me an estimate or the estimates were WAY overpriced. Since I am a single female, I know when I am being high balled and don't appreciate it and will let other people know about it. J.R. Tubbs came in and told me what his rate was upfront and said it's the same for everyone, I checked him out and found the man is very true to his word, does excellent work and has looked out for me in the sense he is telling me the most cost efficient way of doing things....like my windows, I didn't know they could just drop in Pella windows in existing frames without all the crazy construction of pulling out old frames, etc. I have many more projects and I will only use J.R. Tubbs.
Description of Work: J.R. gave me a great price to put in 12 inches of blown in insulation in my 1300 sq.ft. home (attic). He was on time called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He and his helper were very professional and went right to work. He did a wonderful job and cleaned up afterward...my house is now toasty warm at night!
