Review: Installation of Rinnai Gas Hot Water Heater by Coastal Comfort This was my second time working with Coastal Comfort, and once again, I am extremely satisfied with the results. The entire team, from the office staff to the installation crew, exceeded my expectations. Installation Manager John was especially professional—he ensured that the installation met all local codes and promptly returned my call when I had a minor concern. The gentleman who provided the estimate was thorough and knowledgeable, and the installation crew worked efficiently to get everything set up properly. The attention to detail and high level of service truly stood out. Overall, I am very happy with the work Coastal Comfort did, and I would highly recommend them not only for HVAC services but also for gas water heater installations like my Rinnai. Their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction make them a standout company in this field.

From the initial phone call to the final cleanup it was professional from start to finish. The intallers were courteous and careful. The estimator was knowledgeable and experienced and patient with our many questions.

I called Coastal Comfort at 10:00am Monday morning, had 2 written estimates emailed to me by 11:30, gave them a deposit by 2:00. Two days later, techs installed outside unit, which was up and running by 11:00am. I'm one happy customer ! BTW, I'm a self-employed, licensed Master Electrician, and I see a lot of LOW quality work. I highly recommend Coastal Comfort for their workmanship, fast service, and competitive pricing.

Same day service was great

Two man crew showed up on a Tuesday and removed old unit in attic. This gave me time to insulate area under air handler. Crew returned on Friday and installed new unit. I was kept informed and all my questions were promptly answered. As a self employed electrician I see a lot of improperly installed equipment, so when I say they did a great job, I really mean it. By the way, I waited 4 months to post this review anticipating a problem would arise....none did.

They do good work. They stand by the work they do. They are very reliable. When they say they will be here they are always here on time. I would tell others to use this company.

I wasn't too pleased with what he did. There is a switch on my heater, and when he was working on my heater, he cut the switch off, so it wouldnt' come on, but he left it off. I then had to call another company. I wasn't too pleased about that. The other guy showed me the switch, and showed me the position it is supposed to be in. He gave me the impression that he knew what he was doing.

Sales rep was professional and on time. Service rep was terrific. Got my system going until new unit was in. Installation guys were very good, and unit was installed perfectly. Service tech came back to make sure gas was installed and set up and duc lines were taped. Also hooked up my dryer vents with new parts for no extra charge. Best price by thousands over the other two estimates for exact same equipment. First class all the way.

We gathered quotes from various companies before deciding to use them. While there were a few challenges getting the system installed and working properly, Coastal comfort did ultimately provide what was promised. It took them a few visits to make everything right. Now, we are in a warranty period, so maintenance and everything else is free. |From a service standpoint, they have been excellent. Most recently, this weekend our heat was struggling to keep the house warm. I called Saturday morning, and had a call back from the technician, Tim, in less than 10 minutes. He said he'd arrive in 45 minutes, and he was exactly on time. He checked everything out, and it ended up being a bad (old)circuit breaker. Tim was extremely professional and courteous. We are grateful to Coastal Comfort and to Tim for their prompt and thorough service.

they arrived on time. the work was very complicated, they kept me informed along the way of what they were doing. it took them most of the day to do the installation. the final result was that they installed the unit and did a great job. the unit works well and accomplishes what we needed which was a heating and a/c unit in the room above the garage.

Was there mon 20 min after calling and was on time when they came back to finish the job.Communicated very well and explained the troubleshooting steps. Excellent experience.

I feel it went pretty well. I'm pleased with the product and the service. The contractor showed up on time (8:30), and worked until the job was complete (around 5:30). I was offered several different models to choose from, with each showing how much I could expect to save on electric and propane (I had heated with propane in prior years). True to form so far through mid December I've only spent around $150 on propane (when I used to spend that much each month). I also understand its been a warm winter, but still. Also, the installer (Chris) stayed late to help me program the high tech high dollar thermostat I got. I did have one issue in November where the back-up heating source hadn't been turned on (the valve to let the furnace use propane to heat when it drops below freezing). I called and they sent someone out that day to look at it. During the install someone neglected to turn on the valve, so it was a quick fix. He did apologize, and also went through the thermostat to ensure everything was running correctly. He (Chris) again apologized, and so far so good! Things like this happen during an 8+ hour install, so I'm not worried about it. The big thing is they came back to fix it, and fix it that day for free. I'll be sure to use these guys again, and would recommend for anyone. Very responsive. I contacted them via email during the quote process, and Will responded promptly to my questions. And Lacey was also good about letting me know about the status of my DPand L refund for using a high efficiency AC.

Not one complaint from the installation of the new system to the yearly maintenance to the emergency maintenance I would not hesitate using them again.

I could not be more pleased with professionalism and outstanding customer service that I received from my initial call, to the technician, follow up, etc. Tim was the technician that visited my home both for the service call and follow up, and he was fantastic to deal with.

Show up when they said they would be there. Found the problem and orgered parts and fixed unit in a timely manor.

They were an excellent company. The service rep was very personable. He explained what he did very, very well. They seem to be very customer oriented. They were a little bit slow getting back to me but once they did everything went well. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Upon my request, sales mgr visited and got all necessary information to give me a quote. One month later, I called him and he hadn't gotten around to it yet; said he didn't think I was serious.

Work was done at a fair price on time.

Overall they were very reliable, fixed the issue, and were pleasant to deal with.

Have had heating a dn a/c problems periodically since moving into this house. They have serviced my needs when called and always been prompt. Very good service.

I was buying a house and going to be a long distance landlord to a few college kids. During a pre purchase inspection something was found wrong with the emergency heat source. These guys came right out diagnosed and fixed the problem the same day. Immediatley after closing, about 3 weeks later, we entered the house and found the emergency heat running constantly. I called Coastal Comfort and unfortunately they could not come right out since we were in a extreme cold streak and they were busy getting other peoples heat back on, totally understandable. They did come at a later date and found the board that they put in was bad and replaced it with no charge.
