Family owned business. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed policy. Financing Available. Monthly Specials. Maintenance Plans.

"This contractor spent 6+ hours at my house to diagnose a bad blower fan in my brand new unit. They ordered the new part under warranty and after me calling multiple times over two weeks to get an answer on when the part was coming in and for a schedule to reinstall, we scheduled them to come out to replace the part. The day of at the time they said they would come out, Sobieski calls to tell me that they would not be showing up because the tech did not have the part on his truck. My builder calls them that same day and they tell them that the part was damaged during shipping, however, magically, they can get a new part in 3 days later to come install at my house, even though the first one took two weeks. So, 3 days later, they come to install the blower, the tech spends 30 minutes in the attic and tells me its the wrong part and that they would order the right part and contact me asap to get an install date. Well, two weeks later, I have had to contact them each time to get an update. Today when I called, they just got the part in, like magic! I'm sure it just arrived as soon as I called! Was told they will call me tomorrow to schedule the install, what are the odds I have to call them? I'd say rather high, because I have had to call them to schedule my own job, what great service! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO. Sadly, many Ryan homes customers have had issues with this them, and I truly hope they go with another vendor to complete their new home installs in the future."

Sewer cleaning services FAQs

In most states, companies that perform sewer cleaning services don’t need specific licensing, but you should always ensure you hire a licensed and certified plumber to get the work done. You can use our state licensing tool to check whether the potential sewer cleaning company holds a plumber’s certification and license. Hiring a certified sewer cleaning services guarantees that the work will be done safely, there won’t be additional damage done to your home, and the problem will be fixed.

The average cost to snake your main sewer line is around $250 for a simple snake. Most sewer line specialists charge between $45 and $200 per hour for main sewer line snaking, so the time involved plays a major role. The price you’ll pay will depend on the severity of the clog, the item causing the backup, how long it takes to remove the item, and more. A more severe issue that requires unclogging a main sewer line will cost $3,100 on average.

There are a few signs of a clog in your main sewer line that you should keep in mind.

Common signs of a sewer line clog:

  • Multiple fixtures in your home drain slowly

  • Drains in your home gurgle during or after draining

  • Water backs up into your sewer line cleanout

  • You notice foul odors in your home

The best way to confirm that your main sewer line is clogged is to hire a professional plumber to assess the situation and use a camera to inspect the inside.

In most cases, drain cleaners will not clear a clogged sewer line, and they’re likely to damage your plumbing. Sewer lines are several inches wide, meaning any material that clogs it will need to be large. Drain cleaner can work on small clogs, but it usually won’t clear a larger one in a sewer main. Drain cleaners can also easily damage and corrode your plumbing with prolonged contact, and a clog will keep the cleaner in contact with the pipes for an extended period. Hire a professional sewer cleaner instead for a safe fix.

You should not attempt to snake your sewer yourself. Accessing and snaking your sewer requires heavy-duty equipment, and while renting is possible, misusing it can damage your sewer main and leave you with very expensive repair costs, not to mention potential environmental issues and severe water damage. Accessing your sewer also exposes you to hazardous sewer gasses, and failing to seal the sewer properly after work can be very dangerous. It’s always best to hire a professional sewer cleaner near you to handle this type of work.
