Response from Landers Appliance Inc
Dear Member, I’m sorry your General Electric refrigerator has caused you multiple problems. I do understand your frustration in having to deal with it as you have. Today’s electronic appliances present a great challenge in keeping them operating problem free. Typically electronics (think computers) do not like extremes in heat, cold, moisture, humidity and the like. Unfortunately all modern appliances contain electronics and they all produce or deal with some or all of these environmental issues. Your refrigerator is no exception. We diagnosed, quoted and repaired your unit on 3/27/14 by replacing the main electronic control board because the compressor was not running causing both the refrigerator and freezer sections to be warm. We also replaced the solenoid that controls the ice dispenser in the door to allow you to receive ice through the external door dispenser. Three months later on 6/22/14 we came back to your house for free on a Saturday as an emergency as a courtesy and found your freezer defrost heaters were defective, causing frost to form on the evaporator and preventing the items in the freezer from staying frozen. We also noticed the Main electronic control board was not cycling the compressor properly. We replaced the defrost heaters at a discounted rate and we replaced the board at no charge. We really do try to serve our customers by providing outstanding service, but sometimes appliances don’t always cooperate. We came when we said we would, we made the correct diagnosis and necessary repairs and we returned for free for a different problem on a Saturday as a courtesy. We are available by phone is you ever have a question about any of your appliances. I hope you will reconsider your stance of not hiring us again. If you would like to talk to me about this situation please contact me at your convenience. Thanks for your time in reading this response. Dean Landers, President Landers Appliance, Inc.
