I purchased a new lockset for the front door and thought I could install it myself. So, on a Monday morning, I took out the old lock and discovered the mechanisms weren't the same . . .. not only couldn't I install the new lock . . . now I couldn't put the old one back on either. I called The Key Hole, explained my dilemma and Rick Ennis fit me in that morning. Rick was prompt, professional and maintained a great sense of humor as i showed him all the pieces i had laid out for him. Rick was a pleasure to deal with and within an hour i was safe and secure once again with a smoothly operating lock.

Rick came out and re-keyed the locks on all of my doors, including fixing and replacing some worn parts. He was prompt and completed the work without any issues, it all went very well. I would hire him again.

Rick was easy to work with and got the job done. We even had a surprise come up when we found out we didn't have a key that worked for one of the doors... but Rick worked his locksmith magic and managed to replace it anyway. We were still charged what was quoted.

We had a late weekend evening emergency with a broken lock, and Rick was extremely professional, courteous and helpful on the phone. He recommended a practical and cost-effective solution that night, then was able to get out first thing the next morning to look at the lock, make sure he could get the right parts, and resolve our problem, I would not hesitate to call Key Hole again, and would highly recommend them for lock repair and general locksmith services!

Rick is very knowledgeable about locks and listened patiently to all of my questions and concerns about the type(s) of locks I needed at both properties, one of which has experienced break ins. He came up with good suggestions and solutions, communicated clearly about what he was going to do, and installed everything promptly.

Without a doubt, Rick Ennis has to be one of the best and kindest locksmiths on Angie's List. He had done prior work for me by installing brand new locks, so when I recently discovered there were problems with my very old deadbolt locks , I did not hesitate to call him. His response was quick and pleasant. He expertly repaired the locks, gave me some advice and charged me a very reasonable fee. If you need a locksmith in the Baltimore area, Rick is the man to do the job. Very pleased with his promptness, courteousness and exceptional attention to detail!

Mr. Ennis is an experienced locksmith who was able to do the work efficiently and professionally. (Someone else had been here to replace the locks but ran into some difficulty with the size of the openings and not having the right tools.) After describing the problems, Mr. Ennis gave me a quote over the phone which was very reasonable. I found him to be an expert in his field and a true gentleman. He knew just what to do and even made some adjustments in the locks I had purchased so that my keys would not be upside down. He was neat and meticulous and used a canvas mat to catch the debris. If you need a locksmith who really knows what he's doing, this is the person to call. I appreciate the work that he did in my home and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good locksmith.
