INNOVATIVE TILE & MARBLE CO

My experience with Innovative Tile & Marble belies the other reviews on this site. The company served as contractor for my local Home Depot, and I cannot imagine any better service. When the countertop installation was delayed, the gentleman from Innovative made a courtesy call to make sure the backsplash installation was still valid. Once I had a date for them, he was very helpful in answering my questions as to how to best prepare my walls for installation. The man who came to install the tile was excellent. He went out of his way to make sure the tile was set in the manner I preferred. He was actually more of a perfectionist than I. Needless-to-say, I am extremely pleased with the final result. All A’s for this company.

FOUR MONTH NIGHTMARE! Innovative Tile was the subcontractor for Home Depot on this project. The crew was used to drywall walls rather than plaster and totally botched the job of removing the old tile, leaving huge gouges in the wall, especially around the kitchen window. Then they were unable to provide a smooth flat even surface for the placement of the new tile. This led to extremely uneven walls and bulging tiles out from the window frame. Also, very uneven placement of arabesque tiles - they were only used to straight edged tiles. It looked like tile work from a first time do-it-yourselfer who had no idea what they were doing. To add insult to injury, they flatly refused to fix it, saying it was the fault of the uneven walls (which had previously been perfectly flat and even) and the fault of the non-linear shaped tiles. Management refused to let crew even attempt to fix it, and later when management came out to see it, they STILL refused to fix it! It took over FOUR MONTHS of back and forth before Home Depot got another company to redo this mess. You really REALLY don't want to have this company do any work for you. .

Innovative Tiles was assigned by Home Depot to install my kitchen tile. They did not set tile properly, mix grout properly, or work professionally. Grout cracks when tiles shift underfoot, and has never set properly, as they mixed it poorly. They will not stand by their work, refuse to repair poor installation. I will never work with them again.

Terrible job. No wet saw used for glass tile resulting in chipped tile. Tile cut unevenly and has groves sticking out. Not laid straight and has obvious sloping. Crew was late. Left glass shards in our back yard. Terrible, terrible, DO NOT USE.

Very professional and excellent cost. This was a clean-up from a prior contractor and the removal was very difficult and messy, but they did an excellent job on the removal and the new installation looks great. The company worked with our schedule and did the removal/installation on a Saturday to avoid any fumes for the employees and ensure cured before foot-traffic.

The job went well overall. They showed up when expected and did a nice job, particularly with respect to the layout, cutting and some of the detail work. I did have a problem where one of the tiles started clicking or popping whenever we stepped on it, but they were quick to come out and do the repair at no charge and with no hassle. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing similar clicking in about 3 other places, but it's much more mild and intermittent. If this is as bad as it gets, I won't have a concern, but if it gets worse or if I have a problem in more areas I will have a greater concern. Overall, though, I am pleased with the work of this company.
