AES did an amazing job from start to finish on my kitchen. Stephen and Shawna make a great team and I told them they should get a TV show. Stephen is the project manager and Shawna does all the design and shopping. I have no sense of color and she took me shopping and helped me pick out some colors that turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I can't thank her enough for all the work she put into helping me. I really don't know how I could have done this without her help. You will pay some more to go with AES but it's worth every penny. The service they provide is WELL beyond what i've experienced with previous contractors. I had so many issues when I had my basement finished ten years ago and I swore that I would find someone reputable who actually cared about me and didn't just view me for my check book. AES has earned my respect, my trust and I will be calling Stephen later this year to start the next project that I already have started planning with Shawna.

This was a very satisfying experience for me. It was everything that I expected and more. I would say that the process was very rewarding from beginning to end. Michael was very punctual. He explained what he was going well and gave good suggestions so that we would make decisions together. Whenever I called him he always got right back to me. He was very mannerly while in my home. Shawna was extremely knowledgable. She is the designer and she took me to pick out my cabinets, countertops etc. She is great with colors and coming up with combinations that will look good. Everything we picked out matched so well. She even called to check in on me during the renovation. Stephen was very professional and a good communicator. He helped me shop for my appliances (he was very patient with me that day). He was very pleasant to work with. I would recommend AES to others and plan to remodel my bathroom in the future with AES.

This was our second job with AES (the first being a full kitchen remodel), so we knew how it would go - awesome! Everything with AES is first class. Our Sales Rep Jeff quickly scheduled our estimate, and communicated promptly throughout - including stopping by to inspect the work after complete. Jeff is extremely helpful, and just a real pleasure to work with. Our builders - Steve and son - were just master craftsmen. Prompt, friendly, polite, and attentive. Also very patient with my pickiness - he came back multiple times to address minor issues with caulk/aluminum expanding once it got warmer in the summer. And I'm happy to report that the job is now more than perfect. Our original builder poorly installed our threshold in 2001. After years of rainstorms, the wood was thoroughly rotted. In similar disrepair was our Lowes-installed storm door. AES replaced our door with a high-quality replacement, repaired and re-mediated the faulty threshold, and wrapped the entire project in aluminum to keep it extra dry. Now when it rains I can enjoy the coziness, vs. stressing over the water coming in. Thanks again for a stellar project!

Mike, our installer was very easy to work with. He wasn't condescending and answered all our questions. He took care of some little extra things for us too. He got along with my dog which doesn't happen very often. He did great work. Shawna was very good. She was very respectful and very helpful, she is extremely knowledgable in her field. She gave us great idea's for the items in my bathroom and even things that I will buy down the road like my rug. Stephen was very easy to work with. He came when he said he would and he spelled out everything for us so we always knew what to expect. We would recommend AES to friends and family. AES was recommended to us and I will recommend them to you.

I requested an estimate on May 11, 2016. AES was very responsive and set me up quickly with a representative to look at my issue. Kevin arrived in the morning on May 14. He was dressed in a nice AES polo and was very friendly. He came out on time when we agreed. Most importantly he seemed very knowledgable. He said he would have an estimate out to me over the weekend. Of all the contractors I had come out, I was most excited about working with AES; they were very professional. Two weeks went by. I contacted AES on May 31 to inquire about the estimate. The person on the phone apologized and would look into it. It's now June 23 and they still have not contacted me. I'm dismayed about the whole thing; not sure I'd trust them to work on my house now.

I spoke to the estimator personally about this matter. It is an unfortunate situation. The estimator thought he had sent the estimate prior to his vacation, and obviously he did not. We are very sorry this happened, this is not a normal situation for AES, we certainly dropped the ball in this matter. We are more than happy to send the estimate, now that we discovered this did not occur if the homeowner is willing to give us another opportunity. Please continue reading our reviews and you will discover we take great pride in our work and servicing our customers. Thank you, Tim Munson President

I contacted AES Builder about a week ago via Angie's list to get an estimate of work for a fairly major bathroom remodel as well as plumbing/insulation work in the same crawlspace and some other assorted jobs. I was very impressed with their organization and they do have very good reviews. The setup of their callbacks is very professional and they practically insisted on setting up a time where both my wife and I could be present for the estimate (7:30pm on a Friday of Memorial Day weekend, seriously who ever heard of a contractor being willing to show up that kind of time?). I was quite impressed, however the problem I had was the day prior to the appointment I got a call back saying that they had just heard from the owner/manager that they would not do plumbing/insulation/subfloor work in a crawlspace. I don't know if crawlspaces are just a no for the company or if they just didn't want this particular job, I didn't ask and it doesn't matter. I will quote from my original message to the company "...we have a crawlspace that needs to have all the insulation checked/rehung as well as some plumbing re-routed in the same crawlspace". This was the FIRST line of the message that I sent to them. I don't have a problem if they don't want the work, I don't personally want to do the work, crawlspaces suck so I understand and I know a lot of GCs just don't do that kind of work. My perusal of the company website indicates that they do all of the work individually (plumbing/insulation/remodel) but the site doesn't specifically say "No Crawlspaces" but that's the assumption I'm making. I still would use the company for other work, they are highly reviewed. I just wish that I hadn't had my time wasted and had to plan my Memorial Weekend Friday around a visit that I have now cancelled as what they aren't willing to do is the most important part of the work we wanted.

Obviously this was a misunderstanding on the part of AES. As the owner of this company we would never want to waste a homeowners time. We did not give an estimate for $12,000.00 nor did we do the work. We do not do crawl space work only. If we were doing a large remodeling job that required crawlspace work to be done to bring the house up to code, then of course we would make an exception and include the crawl space work. We advised the homeowner it would be more effective for him to contact a Handyman Service. Thank you, Tim Munson President

My husband likes everything to be superclean. so he went around each of the 6 days that it took to install all of the flooring and swept and vacuumed before the installer even had a chance to clean up. It would have been even better dust wise, if the furniture could have been covered, as it stirred up all kinds of dust, but overall the new flooring looks amazing and the workmanship was excellent. It looks better than I thought it would, and the recommendation for the waterproof flooring was a good one as the water for the pool will be tracked into the house each day. We have a large family and wanted something durable and low maintenance as we are retiring in this house. We have used AES before and are very pleased with their workmanship and the 5 year guarantee.
Description of Work: removed old flooring and replaced with waterproof Anglewood VEVO tile throughout the entire first floor of house. Also stained and installed all new moulding and threshold transitions. Moved washer, dryer set in laundry room, and placed floor underneath those and reinstalled appliances. Fixed the bottom of a door that stuck and carefully moved all heavy furniture and dining set when needed and replaced all furniture.

My husband and I contracted with AES to gut and renovate an original bathroom in our approximately 60 year old home. We first met with Jeff who was extremely helpful during the planning process. His comprehensive approach and suggestions were very valuable. The renovation included an expansion of the shower base, plumbing adjustments and installation of the shower, sink, toilet, linen cabinets and so forth. It was an extensive project and took about three and one-half weeks. The crew who did the craft work did an excellent job, especially on the tile and wood work. In addition, all of the new products were installed intact (no scratches or marks) and in just the right spaces. They consulted us anytime a decision was to be made and offered suggestions, as well. They were very polite, professional and pleasant at all times. We are very, very happy with the finished product. The new bathroom actually looks better than we had visualized it. We should add that AES was more expensive than other companies who submitted bids, but after having another contractor cancel twice (once 2 days before the scheduled start) it was worth the additional cost.

From start to finish Shawna and Stephen did a great job communicating with us. If we didn't understand something with the cost or wanted to change something they were always willing to discuss it to make us happy with our project. We chose to work with AES because we needed people to walk us through the project and they did. I went shopping with Shawna to pick out everything from tile, to light fixtures. It was really helpful! Mike was the contractor. He was the only person in my house at all times doing the work. He came to my house when he said he would be here, took his shoes off or wore the footies to protect my rugs, and kept everything really clean. When there was a leak from the bathroom to my family room, he repainted the whole ceiling to fix it. The job was completed on time and we couldn't be happier with our new bathroom!

Stephen was prompt and courteous. Gave us good idea's on how to redo the kitchen. Realized that we wanted to stick to a budget and helped us do that. Shawna was able to figure out what we liked and helped us pick out everything. She has a great eye for textures and colors. She helped us match all the finishes and coordinated color choices. She was amazing to work with. Michael has great attention to detail and gave us excellent suggestions on lighting. In short, AES fired their Agent assigned to manage the work and never informed me. Before the Agent was fired we came to a verbal agreement to start the work in early to mid January. The owner himself called me in December and said he could start the work later in December, well I left a message asking if we could start in January. I would be on leave and didn't want to start the work during the stressful holidays. I also asked for a schematic of the design and wanted to reduce the size of the bathroom. As i mentioned early, I worked out with the Agent that the work would start in early to mid January. Well it was late january and I heard nothing from AES until I requested a refund based on their apparent breach of the contract given the work was not even started in January. I had heated conversations with the owner in late January and was told he would schedule the job in early Feb. and contact me with a start date and time. Well again, I heard nothing, and AES even breached the Feb 18th date. This is three dates, 2 verbal and one written that AES breached and decided not to perform. Further, now AES states that I cancelled the contract. I would be a fool to do so. I simply asked for my deposit back, $5,900 since AES apparently breached the contract and never performed any work. Further, it seems by the contract I have to allow them to start the work or I would be in breach and I have sent several letters asking them to do the work, AES never asked or attempted to start the job. Unfortunately AES is holding my deposit and refuses to refund the deposit or do the work, even as discussed completing the work or at least $5900 of the work with AES' attorney. Everything AES has done seems to be unethical. gen
Description of Work: I am shocked that I have to write this review. I used Angie's List to find an ethical company to finish my basement for offices so I can retire and work as a Patent Attorney in my solo practice. I signed a contract on September 2015 and as of today April 1, 2016 nothing has been done and the lack of performance is heading to District Court. The provider did not do the work contracted for and misrepresents that I cancelled the contract. THe contractor will not refund my deposit. THe contractor breached three tentative start dates, one date was verbally agreed between myself and the AES Agent, One date was discussed between myself and the AES owner and the last date was in the contract.

This review is unethical. As the owner of this company I am the one who has been in direct contact with this customer. I will give the facts of this contract. This customer desired that we start his work as soon as possible. I contacted him in December to start the work and he advised me he want to wait until his original start date of February 18, 2016. I left him my personal cell number to call me personally if he wanted to start sooner. In January he left me a harsh message stating he wanted to cancel and get 100% of his money back, ( I saved the message to my cell phone). I told him I am happy to send him his deposit back, less the amount of money already paid out on his contractural behalf. He stated this was not fair and threatened me with him being an attorney and he would berate AES on every review site he could if I did not meet his demand. First. the provider had to reschedule my first appointment because the estimator called in sick that day so it had to be put off by a week. Once the time for the appointment came, the estimator claims he knocked on my door but I was sitting several feet away from my door and never heard it, so he must not have knocked. Furthermore when the estimator tried calling me back, he hung up the phone immediately and when I attempted to call him back, he didn't pick up and avoided speaking with me. He followed this up with a passive aggressive email claiming that I was in the wrong even though he never showed up.

Dear Angie's List Members: I personally checked into this situation. My estimator went to the customers home and arrived 10 minutes early. He rang the door bell and no one came to the door. He went back to his car and waited 10 minutes and then rang the door bell again, once again no one came to the door. He then took a picture of the front of the house to prove to the office he was indeed at the home at the appropriate time and date, (as required by the office to prove that he showed up at the appointment when no one is home or answers the door). Obviously the estimator did his best to see the customer. We make our living by giving estimates and servicing our clients and potential clients, therefore we always do our best to meet with all potential clients. I'm not sure why the homeowner would give us all F's in every category which includes pricing when we were not able to review his project and give him a price. We were willing to go back and give him an estimate and he refused to allow us to do so. This is obviously an unfortunate situation and AES did not purposely do anything wrong and tried to make amends with the home-owner. Please continue reading our reviews and you will see we take great pride in our work and appreciate our customers. Scope of work: Demolish a 1960's bathroom and replace tub with walk-in shower. Totally gut the whole room, move the toilet to a different wall. We received estimates from other companies and decided to go with AES based on reviews on Angies List and the price. We signed the contract with AES and set up a date to go with their concierge to buy everything we needed for the remodelled bathroom. Our schedule was accomodated and we packed alot of stops into one afternoon. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable and asked the right questions so that we would be selecting what we wanted. . The work started later than was expected but that was not a big deal to us. The time estimate given to complete the work was shorter than the job actually took to complete. The demolition took longer than expected. The above two issues were in part due to the project manager assigned to us. It is very important to note here that Tim Munson could not have been more responsive to our issue with the project manager and everything was handled immediately and to our total satisfaction! Thanks Tim! Dave was assigned to our job. He is a diligent worker and was very respectful our our home. Dave's craftsmanship is excellent. There were one or two things that constituted a punch list, for example, we wanted another towel rack on the wall, and we all forgot about hooks on the back of the door. These were handled without delay. Dave is a methodical worker who takes pride in his work. Throughout the proecess he consulted with us and gave a thought to different ways to install certain items, i.e. grab bars in the shower. In order to make up for some of the time, Dave came in on a holiday and the occassional Sunday. We did not ask him to do this, and it was most appreciated. The end product is beautiful and we are very satisfied.

Dear Angies List Member: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with AES. We are grateful for your business and trusting AES with your remodeling project. I personally enjoyed meeting you and making sure you were completely Happy with the final touches on your bathroom. After seeing the end results we both agree the bathroom is very beautiful and user friendly. Remember, you have a five year free labor warranty with AES and we want to continue taking good care of you. Again, thank you for allowing us to serve you, Gratefully yours, Tim Munson President
AES was professional, reliable, and helpful throughout our project. All of the aspects we had planned for (basement work, tile work, and small bathroom improvements) happened on schedule and with high-quality results. The mold repairs were more complex, but no one anticipated the extent of the mold damage in our second bathroom (it was covered up by renovations by the previous owner of our house). AES adapted quickly, gave us reasonable options to fix the problem, and made the repairs faster (and better) than they had originally predicted. Their original estimate was very reasonable compared to others we received, and the expanded work (due to the unexpected extent of mold damage) was much less expensive than we feared. AES communicated with us throughout the project, and we had great confidence in their expertise and effectiveness. We have recommended them to our neighbors, and we expect to call them when we have another home-renovation project on the horizon.
Description of Work: -Demolish existing walls and asbestos floor tiles in basement in preparation for waterproofing -Caulk edges of waterproofing materials to reduce airflow -Reframe and refinish basement -Add tile to existing bathroom -Add exhaust fan to second existing bathroom -Remove walls, framing, and siding with mold damage from second existing bathroom -Repair/replace all walls, framing, subfloor, ceiling, and tile in second existing bathroom and adjoining room to fix mold damage

Thank You so much for sharing you experience from using AES. We always do our best to make sure the job gets done correctly. We enjoyed serving you and your family. Your job had some difficult moments, but my men were up to the task. Please remember you have our Five Year Free Labor Warranty. We look forward to making you Happy again with your next project. Gratefully yours, Tim Munson President
I hired AES to renovate an existing bonus room above our garage including converting an existing full bath to accommodate my elderly parent. Mr. Dave Hill came out and evaluated the project and provided an acceptable estimate. He explained that once the crew began they would only be working on our project until it was completed. The work began approximate four months later. Once work began it was discovered that the subflooring was not level and inadequate to support the proposed tile flooring. Additional time was required for the installation of additional beams to support and leveling the subflooring which added to the expected time to complete the project. We developed a good working relationship with the crew performing the work and they appeared to be doing a good job. There came a time when the foreperson asked if I would consider making the final payment in advance as he needed to get his crew paid and he was nearing the completion of the project. As they had presented themselves to me of high morals and integrity, I agreed and wrote the check. Big mistake. I should have known better from all previous renovations but trusted them. Unfortunately, from that point forward things went downhill. Instead of being there daily, many times no one would show up nor call to say they weren't coming. Numerous excuses were made to explain why things weren't getting done expeditiously including a time when the foreperson was injured, yet no one else was sent to work on the renovation. Time and time again he would say someone was coming and no one would show up. There seemed to be absolutely no concern nor urgency to getting the project done. This led me to believe that they had already begun another project and we were no longer a priority and they would get to us when their schedule allowed. I felt completely disrespected and taken advantage of. I told him to finish the project or I would contact Mr. Munson and get them to send me someone who would finish the work. The foreperson assured me that he would make good and finish the work quickly. Instead he or one of his crew would appear at infrequent intervals over many weeks which became months before they were done. What they left was unacceptable. The tiling, grouting, dry wall, plumbing trim and general overall appearance was of poor quality and certainly not what I paid for. The drywall and painting was full of defects and gaps. The tile flooring was covered in dry wall dust and globs of joint compound. The existing tub was left a filthy mess from the tile work that had been done. I finally contacted Mr. Munson. He was very cordial and apologetic and stated the contractor should never have asked for final payment in advance. He sent Mr. Hill to inspect the work in person. Mr. Hill came and took numerous photos and agreed that the work " looked like *hit" and was not of AES quality. Mr. Munson agreed to fix the problems and make things right. He asked that I wait a couple of weeks so that the person he wanted to fix the issues would be available. I agreed and expected that once the new people began they would finish the work expeditiously. The new crew began around the beginning of November. I assumed that new crew would be scheduled so that the work would be done quickly and that all their scheduling had been addressed prior to them starting to fix the problems. Unfortunately, we again experienced delays such as waiting for the drywall person to be available and the irregular availability of the people performing the work making it seem that they were working on an hourly basis instead of trying to finish. The subsequent work was very good and we finally have the bathroom we expected and paid for. What began in April of last year was finally completed on Jan 2 of this year. I never heard from Mr. Munson or Mr. Hill at any point subsequent to them agreeing to fix the problems to see if the work was going as expected or if we were happy with the new work. I know this review seems unusual due to all the glowing recommendations by others here on Angie's list, but my personal experience was extremely disappointing. I have no idea if the person who was in charge of my project is still working for AES or not. While I do appreciate Mr. Munson's making things right, I will not be using AES for any future remodeling projects.
Description of Work: Renovated and expanded existing bathroom, added tiled shower. Replaced carpeted flooring with heated tile flooring.

This is an unfortunate situation of which I purposed to get personally involved when I was made aware of the situation. Once I was made aware, we immediately put a plan in place to make corrections and bring it to a more than satisfactory remodeling project. Let me preface with some facts. Upon starting the necessary demolition of the project, we discovered most of the floor structure was rotten and needed replacement. We contacted the home owner and made him aware of the situation of which he agreed and thanked us for bring it to his attention and not just covering it up. On April 20th we started the work. On June 12, 2015 the customer signed a satisfaction form giving the crew excellent ratings in all categories, from quality or work to the installation process. He stated he would recommend AES to neighbors and friends and also that he would use AES again. He graded us a 10, meaning very satisfied. He wrote on the form "Best Craftsmen We Have Ever Had Perform Work In Our Home". He also made his final payment on the same date. At this point I thought the job was complete and the customer was happy and satisfied. I was notified in October by the customer who stated he should have contacted me sooner in reference to some problems he has experienced with his remodel job. It was then that I first discovered there were any issues. I immediately sent my company representative to his house to meet with him and take pictures. Upon reviewing the issue at hand we started on a plan of recovery. On 11/9, we fixed and reglazed and chip in the tub to make it look new again. On 11/13 we went out to make some sheetrock finish repairs. On 11/5 we discovered there were issues with the shower plumbing trim of which the customer supplied. We researched the issue and on 11/25 we ordered parts for the customer, even though it was not our responsibility. On 12/11 the parts arrived at the warehouse. We returned several times in between making corrections with painting and tile. Our office was closed from December 23, through January 2nd. We returned on January 2nd making sure the customer was very satisfied. David and I had not contacted the customer as of the time of his writing as we wanted to give him time to live with the new work for a few weeks, as to give him an opportunity to experience the work and find out if he had found anything else we needed to correct. In hindsight, I would have acted quicker if I had been made aware of the situation sooner. We don't tolerate this type of behavior with our workers. We made the necessary adjustments upon discovering these issues to assure it won't happen again. Our heart is to always take corrective action in any type of negative situation. We want our customers to know they are #1 with AES. Thank you for taking the time to read the long response. I felt it necessary to show we always desire to rectify the situation Please continue reading our reviews and you will discover our many satisfied customers over the years. We look forward to serving you. And remember our motto is our heartbeat: When We're Done, You'll Be Happy, If You're Not Happy, We're Not Done". Tim Munson President

My dealing with AES from the beginning to the end of my kitchen remodeling was top rate. When I contacted AES and met Mr. Bill Miner, the AES sales representative, for the initial estimate was very positive. He was courteous, patient and explained all that would be involved with this project. Plus he also knew we were working within a budget and worked within this limit. Once we finalized our agreement, Bill Miner and the owner Tim Monsen over saw the entire remodeling from beginning to end. The AES contractors who performed the renovation, Nate and John, displayed the highest level of professional courteous service. They answered any questions I had about any phase of their work. Any issues that were not to my satisfaction were immediately resolved in that same courteous/ professional manner. These chaps really took to heart the name of AES and lived up to the company's respected name. I saw first hand how the company and its staff live up to the well deserved adage " If you're not happy, then we are not done." When they completed my beautiful kitchen, me and my family were truly left happy. I have recommended AES to family and friends. I plan to use them on my future remodeling needs.

Thank you for sharing your kitchen remodeling experience with Angie's List Members. We enjoyed working with you and creating a beautiful Kitchen You can enjoy for many years to come. First off, the price above is for labor, plus the materials for dry-walling the ceiling and lumber for inside the shower walls. We purchased the other parts and materials separately from Home Depot (shower door, faucets, lights, etc..) for about $1200, and the cultured marble shower parts (walls, shower pan, seat, recessed soap holder and corner soap holder were purchased from Beltway Custom Marble at a cost of $3,612. All in, the cost of these partial renovations came to about $15,512--about $1300 over the original estimate. However, as we chose the items to be installed, that estimate was fair. We would not advise using the recommended Northeastern Supply Company for parts, as the prices there were far higher than our budget allowed. We were able to get high quality parts at Home Depot for about half of Northeastern's prices. Although there was a delay of about a month in beginning the work, once it began it went at a good pace, with the electricians, drywall installer, and the two main workmen working diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. Michael and Josiah, who did the majority of the work, were consistently courteous, hard-working, and pleasant to deal with. They persisted in dealing with the minor problems that arose by retuning regularly until the job was completed to our satisfaction. The owner, Tim Munson, responded promptly to emails and followed up on all of our concerns. Bill Miner, the salesperson/estimator was also responsive to our questions and calls, and was fun to work with. To sum up, we would use this company again and we are pleased with the appearance of our renovations. Though the mess and disruption of renovations can be difficult to deal with, these are made bearable when working with people who show pride in their work and take the customers' concerns seriously. It is not only competence and skill that makes a company worth an A rating, it is also the way they treat their customers--and AES has been outstanding in that regard.
Description of Work: Master bathroom: Removal of old shower stall, which was replaced with cultured marble shower pan, seat and walls; removal of bulkhead and old fluorescent lights over sink area; new drywall installed on wall and ceiling; new cultured marble sinks and counter installed; new faucets installed; new light with fan installed in shower and new lights over sink installed. New shower door installed. Hall bathroom: repair of leaking drain in tub; new shower head and faucet installed; new faucets installed in sinks. Powder room: new faucet installed. In addition, new towel bars and toilet paper holders were installed.

Since I did not have work completed, I can not give info
Description of Work: I did not pursue having a renovation completed by this provider. Jeff, the representative for the company was courteous and gave a thorough explanation of the cost and his reasoning for the price. I must commend his taking the time to explain everything and not just giving me a price and his examination of my bathroom and the piping within the house. If not for the cost, I would not hesitate in pursuing having a renovation completed by this company.

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to review your remodeling project. I spoke to Jeff about this and he explained that your house is older and has the old galvanized plumbing pipes imbedded in concrete, as well as galvanized pipes throughout the house. Most of the older Baltimore city homes have this type of plumbing, which needs to be replaced when having the bathroom remodeled. The plumbing cost of your work is what caused the price to be more than you expected. I wish you well in having the bathroom remodeled. If we can help further, please feel free to call on us. Truly yours, Tim Munson President.
I'm not even sure where to start with this as just about every step of the way this company failed. The issue is that they sent out a new salesman (related to the owner) who has little experience in this industry. Because of that, he ordered the wrong cabinets, told me that I could use my existing sinks and failed to include finishing on my shelves in the quote. The end result is that what should have been a 2 week job estimated at $13k wasn't finished until 5 months later and at a cost of over $16k. I still have a cabinet that is defective - the owner of AES told me to take it up with the company instead of handling it himself. I also had them back to fix shelves that collapsed after 2 days - there are still shelves with the same issue but they don't want to fix them (he told he if it fails within 5 years he'll fix it). As well, I was forced to buy all new sinks and faucets because salesman told me that I could use the existing hardware (wrong). All on my dime. The most bothersome comment that the owner made to me was 'You signed off on those cabinets' when I mentioned that the problems were related to them ordering the wrong parts. In other words, he believes that it was my fault that they ordered the wrong cabinets. The reason that I hired them in the first place was to make sure that it was done correctly to begin with. I was also charged an additional $1,200 for staining 3 bookshelves and 3 shelves. Again, his response, was 'you signed off on it'. I own 2 schools and a home and have used many contractors and I completely understand that problems arise. What is disheartening to me about this company is how absolutely unapologetic and condescending the owner is. Not once did he apologize or take ownership for their errors. In fact, when I brought these issues to him he basically told me that 'it didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked but now its done so how are you going to finish paying for it? The only redeeming factor here is the 2nd carpenter who fixed the 1st carpenter's poor job and fixed the kitchen issues despite the inaccuracies in product, measuring and more. Had it not been for him this would have never gotten done. Overall, this was a very stressful and unpleasant experience. No doubt I will never call on AES again and I'd suggest that unless you know exactly what you need down to the last screw that you not also. What a sad experience and this is only a small part of this entire fiasco.

This is a very untrue commentary. I have been in business for over 26 years and I have never dealt with a more dishonest customer than this one. He did his best to set us up for failure, and certainly did not live up to his commitment in our contract. I will not waste time going into every detail to play tit for tat. I ask you read our other reviews you will see We care about all our customers, treating them with integrity and making them very happy. This job should have been fairly easy for us, however the owner of the school did everything he could to make if difficult and drag it out, even though he wants to blame us. We bent over backwards at our expense to jump through hoops to make him happy, no matter how difficult he tried making it for us. My men worked into the night and after midnight not to disturb his school or it's student and employees. He obviously wanted to make it difficult to purposely not be happy and find reasons to get money off on the project. Instead of getting into all the details, I would ask you continue reading our many raving reviews and consider we have won 15 Super Service Awards over the past 3 years with Angie's List and we have earned an A rating in our work. Our goal is to always honor our customers with integrity, making our homeowners happy and continue serving them in the future. Last year we did over 60% of our business with previous customers and customer referrals. Thank you for taking the time to research our company and I believe you will make the right decision by looking at the majority of our reviews. If you have questions and want to know more, you are welcome to call on me personally at my office. I am a working owner and look forward to serving you. Gratefully yours, Tim Munson President

The experience from start to finish was out standing, the salesman, listened to me & gave me suggestions that really helped me in making up my mind with the tile selections, & layout of bathroom & ALL the other stuff that goes in a custom bathroom. When the salesmen was here about the bathroom I asked him about my drive way & gave me an extra 15% off because of hiring AES for both projects. And the men that came & remodeled my bathroom Brian & his helpers &the men that came & resurfaced my drive way Charlie & his helpers they were ALL Outstanding. Thank you AES
