The Proposal: Our salesman, Stephen, was very easy to talk to, responsive, and accommodating. When he didn't know the exact answer to something he was straightforward about it and made it a point to find out whatever it was. About the Professionals: The installers worked quickly and efficiently in oppressive heat, and finished their work in 1 day. Communicative and friendly. The Product: They appear to be good quality doors. Our only complaint is that our patio door came without its screen, or the key lock that we ordered to go with it. The screen on the front storm door became loose shortly after installation. This seems to be the manufacturer's error, and not AES's. A representative from the manufacturer (Alside) came to fix the issues after the fact. While it did take several weeks to get that sorted, it was still a positive experience working with the Alside rep; he was able to make a number of adjustments to the patio door that had it working even better than before, and repaired the storm door screen quickly. The Schedule: Our patio door was an odd size, so we had to wait an extra month or so, as their manufacturer (Alside) was backed up with orders. Props to our salesman Stephen for identifying straight away that we had a non-standard door size and accounted for it in his estimate, so we had no surprise costs. We also had to wait a fairly long time from contract signing to installation, due to their installer's busy summer schedule. AES was straightforward about this, though, and since we did not have a pressing deadline, we were ok with it. It was worth the wait. In summary, we have two new great-looking entrances on our townhouse, a sound investment. I would choose to work AES again because of their efficient installations and good communication, even if they are not the cheapest show in town. I've actually contracted them already to do work on a new property (kitchen and bathroom remodels), so I will be posting about that in the near future.

They were amazing! Dave Hill sent the most professional team to do our bathroom. We had just had new carpeting installed throughout our home & we were concerned. They hung protective walls of plastic to keep down the dust & covered every inch of the carpeting they were in contact with. At the end of each day they would vacuum & clean up. The carpenters, Brian, Scott & Bobby were so detailed oriented that they add touches we wouldn't have thought of. During the planning Dave made suggestions that proved how knowledgeable he is. We are more than satisfied, we're delighted with our spectacular new bathroom. I only wish we could rate Dave & our crew higher than 10 because they certainly deserve it.

Work was done within three days (one day in the middle for the rear door). Very pleased with the results.

Tim (Owner) is very responsive. He really wants his customers to be satisfied, and will do every reasonable thing to make that happen. The foreman on our job (David) really knew his stuff. We are very pleased with the end result and our enjoying our two 'new' rooms.

I scheduled an appointment to discuss a kitchen remodel with this company. I did not realize I would be getting his salesman instead of a contractor like I had for all other companies I interviewed. The sales person was very aggressive insisted on a check and a signed contract that very moment. I insisted he provide a written quote and he never got back to me.

AES responded to our inquire promptly and came to my house to look at the project and walk me though the whole process step by step. I compared their quote with other contractors and while they were far from the least expensive option I decided that in light of their labor warranty on all of their jobs and the high level of professionalism I felt most comfortable working with AES. the work crew showed up promptly each day. further issues occurred with the project after the shower was gutted and the contractor determined that extra work was required tondonthebjob right. I was contacted and given several options to proceed and a new contract was agreed upon. the final result exceeded expectations and I was very happy that I did not with the cheapest option and worked with AES who did exceptional work. After over a year of dealing with handyman and cheap contractors I learned that you truly get what you pay for.

AES was superb from start to finish. TJ Hassler was my direct contact with AES and the communication couldn't have been better it seemed like just minutes between emails. He was particularly helpful in design and problem solving. All work was completed on time on budget. There were a few changes added into the project but that was the my choice (owner) to do those add on. The add on cost were all reasonable. If AES is in your area you should definitely talk to them about your project. The truly live up to their company's motto "if your not happy we are not happy".

We now have a custom designed basement with full bath, bedroom and entertainment room especially designed for house concerts. We will definitely use AES for any future remodeling needs.

My fiance and I hired AES to put in a second bathroom in his home, and we were very happy with the work, the price, and for the most part, the communication. We really liked Stephen. We knew that in the home we purchase this summer, we would be building an art studio for me, and naturally, we asked Stephen if this was a project AES had experience with. He said yes, and agreed to meet to discuss it. On March 6th Stephen met with us to discuss this project. We were very happy with his understanding of my unique requirements and looked forward to the detailed proposal he promised to send within a week. On March 25 I emailed Stephen because after checking my spam folders, I had not received anything from him. Stephen responded right away, apologized, and said re-sent it. On March 27 he wrote to confirm I received the email, I had not, and he said he thinks the problem might be on his end because gmail was sending him error messages. He said he would pop it in the postal mail. On April 8 I wrote to Stephen to say I had not received anything via postal mail. He expressed shock and said he was free Wednesday morning the 12th and would personally hand-deliver it to my house. On Wednesday he did not show up. My first thought was that he was having a family emergency or health issue, but I called the AES office and was assured that he was fine, and to just call his cell. I called, texted, and emailed him several times within a week and a half, with no response. Until this point I was giving him the benefit of the doubt - stuff happens, people forget, no big deal. But it had been over a month and I was getting skeptical. Only when I emailed the main AES email (which apparently goes to the owner) did Stephen respond. He left me a sheepish email stating that the owner, Mr. Munson, would personally look over the proposal and he would e-fax it to me the next day. Two days later, after sending another text, I finally got something in my email. It it is not at all what I was expecting based on our conversation on March 6. Stephen said he wanted to take his time (he mentioned about a week) to create a detailed, comprehensive proposal breaking down the approximate cost range of each individual element of the project, as well as accounting for various scenarios such as using an existing pad, or creating an attached versus a standalone building. He was also going to research the restrictions and laws regarding outbuilding size, height, lot placement, and plumbing for our county. He even said, "I don't want to just give you a bunch of random numbers or inaccurate information - I want to do my homework and take the time to do it right." This proposal contains none of the above and is simply a list with a single number at the bottom. The number is ridiculously high, but I don’t know how he arrived at the number because there is no breakdown at all. The fact that it took AES over six weeks to get me a bare-bones proposal, after much prodding, creates the impression that Stephen wrote it the hour he sent it to me and was lying about its existence all along. I do not understand his motivation for doing so, and it seems out of character. If AES didn't want the project, or Stephen didn't have time to write the kind of document he proposed, it would have been much kinder to simply say so. I don't know if this is how AES normally does business, but it makes me feel incredibly disrespected, lied to, and my time wasted. My fiance and I liked the job they did with the bathroom. I was impressed with Stephen’s knowledge, understanding, and seeming honesty when we met on March 6. I really thought AES was a company I could trust! It is very disappointing to have learned this is not the case. It really is a shame. I emailed my disappointment to the main AES email and never heard back. Not good business practice at all.

I have signed a contract with them but, they have not begun work yet. The original estimate was $12900 but, they were able to reduce it $9300 which they reduced again to $9070. They were really good with working with me. Initially, that was a sticker shock.

From beginning to end, all work and communication exceeded our expectations! Staff was extremely helpful in assisting us with material, color scheme, purchasing materials and the list goes on and on. The installation was done superbly! The individual was professional, punctual, courteous and personable. We definitely will use AES for future projects.

I contacted AES to get a quote for renovating the existing enclosed patio where the laundry was to turn it into a full bath with a laundry nook. I was assigned TJ as my project manager. TJ was great. We had a half hour consultation where he came to the house and took a number of measurements. He seemed very interested in helping me get the best value for my budget: he advised me to find a different contractor to do the patio/parking pad work since he would have to sub the work out if he included it in his scope, and he also helped me understand that the roofline didn't have to be revised to accommodate a future rooftop deck. Because of this, I only got a quote for the new full bathroom and laundry nook. He was very responsive to all my emails, sent me drawings and renderings of his design, worked with me to revise the design to make sure I got what I was looking for, and included a detailed estimate for the work to be done and the allowances for each item. I wound up going with a contractor that my coworkers recommended since his quote was lower than TJ's, but TJ's quote was lower than the other two bids I got and he was very professional throughout the process.

I am extremely pleased with the result! They worked with us to keep costs down, and it came out looking extremely nice.

AES did a wonderful job installing our new master bathroom. Everyone who contributed to the finished product was professional and pleasant – from Stephen who came out on our time table to inspect the space and provide the estimate, to Shawna who took what we wanted and drew up the plans, to Mr. Munson himself who communicated with us along the way. But the star of the project was James who took the plans and made them come to life. He arrived on time every morning, got right to work, and worked straight through the day. He took the time to double check with me as to placement of things like towel bars, grab bars, placement of mirrors, shower head placement, etc. to be sure that those things were installed to our specifications. And he cleaned up behind himself at the end of each day. It was obvious from the finished product that he took great pride in his work. Our bathroom is beautiful. Yes, there were a couple of minor (very minor) things that needed attention at the end (after all, this was a pretty involved project). AES made good on their motto and made sure that we were happy before they were done. Rich came to replace a defective faucet and Ron came to correct a paint mismatch. Even better is the fact that the final total of the project was right in line with the estimate! There were no hidden or unexpected cost overruns. We definitely recommend this company and will use them again when we are ready to have our kitchen updated.

Every single aspect of their work was fabulous! The siding is installed perfectly. The window flashing is the cleanest and tightest I have ever seen. No gobs of caulk you see on cheap jobs. The interior drywall work was mudded so perfectly well it barely needed a sanding at all before painting (I painted myself). My only complaint was that the power was out longer than it needed to be and since I share a junction with my neighbor, his was out all day as well. They sent him a restaurant gift card as an apology for the inconvenience. I couldn't be happier!

The whole experience from start to finish was professional and well done. Shawna was very helpful in selecting materials. She is very knowable about matching colors. Michael and Josiah were respectful and professional. They performed high quality work with great attention to detail. I am very happy with the results.

AES did fabulous work. Mike showed up every day and worked really hard throughout the project. When we discovered that a box of tile was missing AES coordinated quickly to make sure everything was taken care of. Stephen explained how the process worked and communicated with us throughout the project. Shawna, Stephens wife, took us out shopping to pick everything out and emailed us many times with idea's and options. AES has a great team and I look forward to working with Stephen and Shawna again, they made the project as smooth as construction can be.

TJ contacted us immediately and gave us an estimate. TJ was very courteous, honest and professional. The work was performed ahead of schedule. Michael and his team worked very hard. Michael communicated with us very well so we knew what we expect on a daily basis. We are very impressed with the company especially Michael because of his expertise, knowledge and experience.

Very happy with it and have received many compliments about the change to our house and the beauty of the kitchen. Their 5 year warranty is excellent and they have been back twice now to fix minor issues.

After 4 years some of the skirt around the structure started to come undone and fall down. Through our contract with AES they offered a 5 year labor warranty on the project. Often when you have to contact a company for a warranty issue it's often a big hassle. Not with AES. I called the office and reported the issue and emailed some pictures. Two days later I got a call from the contact who would be addressing this issue. He told me the approach and when he would be out to fix it. He came when promised and did a great job addressing the concern. Couldn't be happier with how this experience went. Well done AES !!

Everything went very smoothly. James and his crew were very professional and courteous. We love our new bathroom!

It went great! The finished kitchen suits us to a tee. The powder room was transformed to be more functional and attractive. Thanks to Shauna and her assistance with selecting the finishes, the redone kitchen and bath had exactly the look we were going for. Ben was a talented carpenter and a courteous and flexible project manager who made suggestions and adjustments as needed. The counters by Jeff were fantastic!! Our backsplash and floor work were the most eye-catching "wow-factor" changes, done beautifully. Stephen guided us through the job with honest and reliable information, transparency in pricing, and prompt communication (he even returned calls while on vacation...now that's commitment to the customer!) The pricing was commensurate with the quality of the work. We are now enjoying an updated kitchen and powder room that are perfect for us! Thanks, AES.

The company felt our job was TOO small and did not wish to provide their services. Phil, the gentleman that telephoned me was pleasant about it and offered a suggestion of a handyman service to perform the services. I am selecting would not hire again since apparently our improvements did not fit their status so there would be no use to contact them again. Phil was very professional when he telephoned and as noted offered information on someone to call. It's great to have so much work one can turn it away because its too small scale.
