AES did a great job with the whole project. Stephen was very responsive to my phone calls and many questions that I had. He helped me shop and pick out all the items. David was my installed and he did a phenomenal job. The shower looks amazing as does the backsplash. I will use AES for all my future projects and you shouldn't hesitate working with this company. They really do take care of you.

[First clue this contractor was going to give me the hard sell]: After the initial inquiry, a Customer Care Rep., Phil Walter, assigned Estimator, David Hill, to meet with my wife and I. In fact, they insisted that if my wife wasn't going to be present, they didn't really want to meet with me. [Second clue this contractor was going to give me the hard sell]: Mr. Hill spent about 20 minutes to gauge how deep my pockets were before he even looked at the bathroom. He was very knowledgeable and made a few suggestions to our improvements ideas, though we wanted to hear his thoughts. He then told us that we were looking at a project that would be more than we wanted to spend. After I defended our price expectations based on another bathroom we just upgraded down the hall just last year, He decided we could afford a renovation that might exceed $30,000. I requested that he take a few days and get back to us with a detailed cost estimate so we could properly evaluate the project. He agreed to do that. [Third clue this contractor was going to give me the hard sell]: A few days later I received a 2 sentence email from Mr. Hill saying that the project would be $16,400 for the materials (including a 30% markup) and $22,100 for the labor for a total project cost of $38,500. I told him a thought this was a bit high considering I am in the property management business and can get their contractor pricing on all the materials. Would they reconsider a lesser mark-up fee? The answer came back after he said he spoke to the owner, Mr. Munson, "No". I then said ok, just get me a detailed contract so I can understand what I am buying and what work is being performed. I still hadn't received anything other than a 2 sentence email. Next email reply -- How about if we meet in 2 days so I can bring the contract and have you sign it and tender a deposit for which work we really can't start before 6 months from now. I thought this was a little pushy and asked to see the contract, which hopefully contained some details, in advance via email. [Final clue this contractor was going to give me the hard sell]; The next day I received an email from Mr. Hill, "I made a big mistake-- the price is now $48,310. I apologize. Let me know if this is still in your budget." I asked what caused this sudden jump? The response, "labor and material". I thanked him for wasting my time and energy.

It went very well. AES did a great job of helping us through the design and planning process and was very responsive to any questions. During the remodel, staff showed up when they said they would and did great work. We are extremely pleased with the final product.

We had previously arranged for AES to do remodeling work on a relative's home and were so impressed with the work that we engaged them for our kitchen remodel. The job was completed to perfection. AES really lives up to their motto "When we're done you'll be happy. If you're not happy, we're not done". AES accomodated us by assigning Brian, our project leader, to our job since we were familiar with him and loved the way he worked. Brian, is a perfectionist, a craftsman and most important, a gentleman. He spent a lot of time at the end of each day planning the next day's work and was always in contact with us regaring his plans and his suggestions for a beautiful job. We were happy to trust out home to Brian and his team and I can't say enough about their professionalism, courtesy and craftsmanship. At the end of each work day, the work area was clean and orderly and the tools and materials were neatly arranged for the next day. One aspect we really appreciated about working with Brian was that he was always very willing to work with us when we had suggestions about design but he would always let us know if he thought we were heading down a path that we would regret. His guidance was always well founded and based on many years of experience. We were also impressed with the personal contact and interest shown by the company owner, Tim Munson. It was apparent that he views each project as critical to the reputation of his company. From the beginning of the engagement, the sales, design and construction teams worked together to assure a beautiful outcome. Our Sales and Design contacts, Bill Miner and Scott Chatten, were with us from the initial design meetings through the selection of cabinets, counter tops and flooring. We really felt as if we had the entire AES team working on our home. All in all, our experience with AES has been excellent and we will not hesitate to recommend them and we will certainly engage them on additional projects in our home.

Overall, getting our home improvement work done with AES Builder & Home Improvement was an outstanding experience, and they have done a wonderful job. Interaction with the sales representative was straightforward. He explained everything fully and the team showed up when they were supposed to show up. We had the privilege of working with an excellent subcontractor for AES named Roger Robbins. Roger and his team of workers were superb. They were very nice and have done a wonderful job. We are very pleased and liked the way we were treated. Each day, Roger gave his game plan on what they were going to be completing for the day and what time they thought they would be finished. Also, he asked if we had any questions and/concerns to discuss with him and kept his line communication open throughout the day if something were to arise and we needed to ask him anything. Everything was cleaned up each day. We were extremely satisfied with the work that they performed, and the end result is amazing. Our new screened deck was more than we expected. Our unexposed attic ceiling adds a wonderful finishing touch to the space, and my Mom now has assistance with getting up those steps with the new railing. Overall, our experience with AES was very good, and we would hire them again for future renovation needs. We highly recommend AES Builder & Home Improvement.

That was very good. He was very professional with a five year labor warranty. He seemed very professional in everything. The price was a little more than what I wanted to spend but I'm yet to compare to the others.

We had a complete makeover of our 2nd bathroom. We had all of the walls and floor tiled so we wouldn't have to paint. We used listellos to break up the wall pattern. Our workman was very conscientious and took pride in his work. Since he did the job primarily by himself, it took a little longer. My only request was to put in 3 panels of cultured marble as the shower surround. I didn't want to deal with grout lines from the tile. It worked out perfectly.

The gentleman who did the estimate was very friendly and professional but the cost was incredibly high. I love to make the purchase because he was so nice but I just can't do it because the price is outrageous. The company does not provide an estimate for labor only as I was hoping. I want to purchase my own doors from Lowes or Home Depot and have them install the doors. they don't work that way. they sell the door and do the labor so a labor only price is not available.

Salesman came out and looked at the job, took some photographs and measurements, took our drawings, and explained their payment schedule. A few days later we received a moderately detailed proposal that was considerably less than other offers that we had received. There were some anomalies that hinted at the possibility that the proposal did not cover the full scope of work, so we had back-and-forth with the salesman for over a month and the proposal price crept up. Several basic misunderstandings that would have been caught by an experienced estimator caused us to lose confidence in AES's ability to deliver the quality project that we desired. Ultimately we decided to pay 15% more for another contractor - whose estimate was based on site visits by his carpenter, plumber and electrician. We have absolutely no regrets.

The prices quoted for a wood and composite deck were 2 times the amount quoted by other companies.

We are very satisfied with the work performed by AES on our kitchen renovation. David Hill, the AES salesman, worked with us to develop the details of the job. He recommended excellent vendors for the cabinets (Computer Design Kitchens), counter-top (United Marble and Granite) and floor tile (Mosaic Tile). Dave met us at each vendor's location to help with our selections. The job started about 2 weeks ahead of schedule and was finished in 3 weeks and 4 days. AES estimated 3 weeks for the job, so we were quite happy with the overall scheduling of the work. AES was on site everyday (including Saturdays and some Sundays) until the work was done. Mike Morin, our job foreman, did excellent work. He was very focused on doing high quality work and he worked long hours and weekends to stay on schedule. He always checked with us about his work schedule beforehand. When questions came up during the performance of the work, Mike always checked with us to be sure he did what we wanted. Our contract with AES included their labor, electrical work, painting and building materials. We contracted directly with the vendors for the cabinets, counter-tops and floor tile/backslash tile; this approach worked well for us. AES installed everything except the counter-top. The cleanup of the job site at the end of the work was very good. The removal of the old ceramic tile generated a lot of dust which was unavoidable. AES made every effort to contain the dust within the kitchen area. Cleaners came to the house 3 times to clean the work area and the rest of the house.

.Met with David Hill, salesman for AES and together designed work to be done. He later picked me up and took me shopping for items needed to incorporate in project. The tile I wanted on floors and the shower, shower door, and vanity. The electrical service was also upgraded to 200 amps. We set a date to start project, and the crew showed up that day ready to go to work. James and Perry were there on time every day and performed their work in a professional manner. The results were great and I really was happy with the finished product. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a high quality job.

David Hill our personal representative from AES assisted bye personally taking us to the local business to pick out and purchase the Mat'l required plus to assure we received AES discounts. AES what up front with a time frame when work would start which was approx 8 to 10 weeks from the time we signed our contract. Once the work started as always Their are those issues that arises AES did not hesitate to fix to code. First class Company who employ first class contractors.

From inception, our salesman Dave Hill was superior. He was invaluable helping us know where to start, and helping us select materials and vendors, including going shopping with us. He stayed with the project until post completion. Work commenced on time (as contracted) and completed well within expectations and initial projections/budget. The AES construction team of Nathan (foreman) and Michael were great to work with and masters of their trade. They were perfectionists and demanded a very high standard of themselves. We did not need anything redone. Nathan communicated very effectively throughout each project phase, patiently answering any questions we had. They were very respectful of our home and we enjoyed working with them. The owner, Tim Munson, personally made 2 onsite visits and was continuously available if needed. Tim followed up by phone and email throughout the project to assure "we were happy" per their slogan. Dave Hill did likewise. The entire AES team delivered exceptional customer service. The AES business model truly puts the "customer first" in deed and not just word. We would use them again and highly recommend them to our family and friends.

Good experience and great outcome. David, the sales/service rep, was attentive and responsive, gave good advice, and provided several options with pricing to help me make final decisions. Matt, the primary contractor, was fantastic -- very friendly, very competent, very trustworthy and very much a perfectionist. He was also willing to wait for me to get home in the evenings or come very early in the morning when we needed to discuss or decide details, and was very accommodating of my nutty schedule. I am really happy with my kitchen and would hire AES again.

David Hill came out to take a look at the townhouse for renovations. He arrived on time and we went through every room from the first floor to the third. It was a pleasure to deal with him as he was honest about everything, which included how much certain things would cost, if it was reasonable, if it was a worthwhile investment to do certain fixes. He listened carefully to our ideas and offered suggestions when we said we weren't quite sure what to do. He even showed us pictures of previous jobs, which helped give us a better idea. Unfortunately, we decided to go a different direction just because of the availability. Would definitely recommend AES to others for any home renovation.

Phil contacted me with little regard for customer service. He gave me the impression that the plumbing job I needed was too small for his company to even be bother with. I had no Idea what the problem was I just know I had a leaky shower which was destroying my floor and ceiling below it. I was informed by Phil that if I was not getting a new shower installed then they were not interested. I said that's why I called your company so you could tell me if I needed a new shower or not. His response was even if you do need a new shower we won't be able to get to you for 5 or 6 months from now. Then he suggested I call my home owners insurance to get some names of plumbing companies that other home owners have used.. Or call some handy man. OMG I feel my money spends just like any other PERSONS'.

They arrived on time and were very professional.

As team leader of this work group, Brian kept us informed of progress and sought our preferences and wishes throughout the project. He sought clarification from us on things that had not been discussed or where choices were or were not available, thus assuring our complete satisfaction. Brian was very industrious. He worked hard and kept his crew busy. The knowledge, skill and experience of Brian and his co-workers was just superior. Bill, the project manager, was very helpful in finding, considering and selecting materials for the remodel. Bill assured us of the high professional standards of AES and its employees and he was right on! Our satisfaction with the finished product is not based solely on the quality of work. Our impression of AES has been greatly enhanced by the politeness, courtesy and the obvious desire to please us as work moved along. Brian is chiefly due credit for this but Bob and Bobby were also very considerate when we had a question or wished to discuss a possible change, We received sound advice and guidance from them on our ideas. Living in our home during the remodel proved to be a challenge for us. But Brian and his team did all they could to minimize that inconvenience as well as the inevitable dirt and dust that accompany such work. Keeping furniture cover4ed , dust barriers in place, sticky paper to limit tracking dirt throughout the house were greatly appreciated. They did an excellent job of cleaning up when each day's work was completed. We believe we received the benefit of an excellent AES work team who we feel must be at the top of their personnel list. So much so that we would call for them again should another project come along; and we will recommend AES to others with confidence.

They were very punctual, did all the work they agreed to, and they did a really great job. Right before the work started, I met with Kevin and the project foreman to go over everything. I went through the house a few times while the two guys were working, and they treated my house like their own. They were friendly but very focussed on getting their job done. They taped up corners, covered floors, and cleaned up after themselves every day. When the job was done I met with Kevin again and reviewed all their work with him, and everything looked great. I have not installed the toilet or sink in the room they roughed the plumbing and wiring in to, but if there are any problems, the 5 year warranty has that covered.

I am so pleased with the work they have done. They will come out and do some more work for me when they have the time. The work is excellent, the people are excellent and they are willing to work around weird hours. I am saving up money to work on the upstairs. That's what I do, save up, get an estimate and then they do the work.

The actual people were very nice, but the price was very high. I felt like the guy that came in to do the estimate was just trying to sell me whatever he could at the highest price he could get, like I was supposed to haggle down the price to a reasonable amount.

The job was done very quickly as soon as the weather allowed. The crew was punctual, respectful, and did an awesome job! They cleaned up everything afterward very well. I am very happy with the product and the service. Not the cheapest guy in town, but definitely the best. Beautiful work!! :)

I love everything about this company. They were professional and cost effective. Everything was via text and e-mail and they always let me know the updates that were going on. They were mostly on time, but when they weren’t, they would let me know ahead of time. They did an extensive cleanup and they cleaned up on a daily basis.

AES came to our house to discuss remodeling the master bathroom, enlarging openings to 2 closets, installing window seats, painting, installing crown molding, tons of repair of cracked walls and lots of painting. Scott discovered the reason for the cracking walls in the office above the garage was due to the fact that the builder had installed a support beam that was too short and was causing the room to actually droop, thus the cracking walls and separating corners. This added another $6000 to the job but there was no ch/ice. Why do the wall repairs, install window seats and not fix the problem that would just cause the same thing to happen again. Once that job was done they started on the rest of the second floor. We had a very strict time line that had to be followed and work was to start on about 9/28/2014. Well, some jobs take longer, and they could not start until 10/9/2014. Mr. Munson called me to tell me that he guaranteed the completion date of 11/7/2014 would be met. Well, there was a bit of a delay with the delivery of the shower panels that AES simply could not control and the job was completed on 11/7/2014 except for the shower and that was completed on 11/12/2014, 5 days before my surgery. We could not be more pleased with the job, the company, the people. Thank God for Scott who helped us through the design, made suggestions that we would NEVER have thought of that made perfect sense. He walked us through the purchase of the items we needed to purchase which we really appreciated. Not only did WE make the decision on the quality and price of the items, but Scott was there to be a sounding board to help us make the best choices. That service is priceless. How does he do that? I know that without Scott, the beautiful outcome would not have been achieved. He is amazing to work with, kind, understanding, and has a great sense of design and style. He was a complete pleasure to work with. James and Perry were great. They arrived early every morning, knew the time constraints and worked very hard to meet the deadline, but never scrimped on the quality of their work. They took over the garage as their staging area. We moved as much as possible from the rooms to be worked on, trying to give them the room they needed to work well. Not having to worry about having to be careful of the existing flooring (which was all being replaced) helped them to meet the deadline. These 2 men are professionals. They were there every day, worked hard all day, did a great job, and best of all, never looked at me like I was crazy when I would ask if I could make changes to the original plans. They just figured out how to do it and did it. James picked up materials several times for the job. Not one time were these men unwilling to do whatever it took to make us happy, even when it meant more work for them. Neither one of them laughed about having to install a little chandelier over the jaccuzzi! They left the job clean and ready for the flooring to be done while we waited for the remainder of the shower pieces to be delivered. There were times when nether my husband nor I could be at the house and we had not one moment of concern about these men being in our home alone. James even gave me his cell phone number just in case I came up with questions after he had left for the day. Our second floor is everything we dreamed of. The master bathroom is beyond our expectations and so beautiful that I want to have every person who comes into the house look at it! All the little changes they made to the office, sewing room, and master bedroom are exactly what I had envisioned. We could not be happier with the outcome. We had waited 18 years to do all of this work and we are so happy that we found AES, Scott, James, Perry, and Mr. Munson. I believe Tim Munson stands behind his motto of the work not being done until the homeowner is completely happy. And we are happy with the job and our beautiful home. w that our situation permits, we are anxious to have Mr. Munson come to our home and see the beautiful job his people have done for us. EVERY person we dealt with in the AES operation was a pleasure to work with. Without a doubt, we will use AES again for any work we need to have done to our home and we will recommend them to anyone who needs a great contractor.
