Description of Work: I have used Yi's for years. They aren't the cheapest guys around but their works is first rate. Over 20 years ago I have them make curtains and a duvet cover for me, along with some throw pillows that looked barely worn. They just replaced the curtains and I'll be using them again soon to recover a couple of chairs and ottomans.

 + -1 morePretty simple job, but still did well. The only small complaint I have is that when you walk in, someone should greet you right away. I stood there for 5-10 minutes and no one said a word to me. Minor complaint given the job they did.

 + -1 moreThey have a big selection of fabric and were helpful with giving small samples of fabric so I could check color, etc. at home. I called to arrange for them to get the chair. They came a little early from the stated time. They called me with the quote, I gave them my OK, and I had the chair back in a little over a week. Very nice job and I was very happy with the service I got.
Description of Work: I picked out the fabric from their show room and got a rough estimate of upholstering a chair. They picked up the chair and called with a quote. One week later the chair was done and delivered to me.

 + -1 moreYi's helped me choose my fabrics by providing accurate info on the durability, etc. When one of the companies couldn't provide what I had chosen, Yi's allowed me to choose another, which they gave me a substantial discount on as the second choice was a more expensive one and they knew I was on a budget. They treated me with respect, picked up and delivered my furniture on time, and did a fantastic job on my couches. This week, when I noticed a few loose stitches on a cushion, I took the cushion back and they repaired it with a smile and no questions, while I waited. This is the second time I have worked with Yi's and I am going to recommend them to any one who wants quality work, a huge selection of fabrics, and great service by all of the company. I scheduled my dates more than 2 weeks in advance because of my time constraints, not because Yi's couldn't come sooner. The same was true of the delivery of my furniture. Yi's was very accommodating.
Description of Work: I had three couches to be reupholstered. The first was a small couch, done in a velvet-like fabric, a fabric chosen with durability and ease of care in mind because it is in a sitting room and gets a great deal of use. The cushions were re-stuffed, but not the back, as the back was in good condition. The other two couches make up a unit that looks like a sectional. Though they get less usage, I was able to choose a beautiful chenille that was also recommended by Yi's because of ease of care and durability as well as for the color. These couches had extra padding added two the arms, per Yi's suggestion, to increase the comfort of the pieces. The skirts were not replaced on these couches, giving them a more modern, sleeker look. Yi's was very careful not to damage the wood legs on these couches, which had been covered by the skirt and are now exposed.

 + -1 moreI was pleased with the customer service I received. They understood my goals and helped me understand what my options were (short of reupholstering the entire sofa). By re-covering the back of the sofa with new replacement fabric, I don't necessarily have to keep the back of the sofa against the wall in the future -- although the fabric doesn't match perfectly, it coordinates well with the rest of the piece. The pickup and delivery service was excellent. The results look very good.
Description of Work: Removed fabric from the back of the sofa and used it to re-cover the arms which had been damaged by cat scratching. Used new, coordinating fabric to re-cover the back of the soft.

 + -1 moreYi's picked up my sofa within the one hour frame in which they said they would come. The reupholstering looks fabulous, and they carried a wide range of fabrics at reasonable prices. The end price was $125.00 more than anticipated, and I am not sure why yet as the delivery men did not leave an invoice. They also picked up and delivered for free.
