From the moment that I contacted them for an estimate they were extremely prompt, very competent and delightful to work with. The sofa was very complicated and they did a perfect job!

I first got an estimate for the reupholstering of 4 dining room chair seats back in October of 2010 . The furniture store where I had purchased the material, wanted twice as much as what Yi's had quoted. Also, far less material was used in the estimate than what the furniture store said was needed . I brought my 4 chair seats in on a Monday in January of 2011 and had them back by Thursday of the same week. Yi's is a family business and all of the Yi children that I spoke to were pleasant and very courteous. The workmanship was flawless and looked beautiful.

They were good and everyone knows them. I took my furniture there and had them look at it. They were really knowledgeable and the staff was nice and easy to work with. They are a great company. The quality of their work is really good from what I have heard. Their professionalism is really high.

Most important, the final product was beautiful, exactly what we'd hoped for. Three minor annoyances: (1) The time quoted was 10-14 days--seemed like a lot for a very basic job but presumably necessary if they were busy and working on a first-come, first-served basis. On day 15, I called to check and was told I could pick it up the next day (led me to think they hadn't gotten to it yet). (2) The man who took my order kept "managing my expectations"--telling me what they couldn't do before I could explain what I wanted them to do. After I was finally able to explain that I only hoped they would try and center a certain part of the fabric, he said that would be fine and simply marked the area. (3) When I picked up the cushions, one had a large crease which wasn't a great concern but I asked if they would steam or iron it out for me. I was told, "It'll only happen again--it's the fabric you chose" and then the man begrudgingly went back and eliminated the crease. (So far, so good--no crease has returned so maybe it wasn't the fabric after all?) I would go there again because of the great product, but hope next time they wouldn't be such nay-sayers and just get on with the terrific job.

They did a marvelous job and were nice to work with. I thought the price was fair for the better quality material. The chairs look like new!

The work went very well. The only familiarity I had with the company was from the information obtained from Angie's List. And even though I trusted Angie's List, I wasn't sure about the contractor. So I dismandled one of the sections and had YI's repair the seat portion only. YI's did such a great job that I decided to have them repair the entire sectional. They provided pick-up and delivery services. The sectional was completed and returned to me in about 9 days.

I contacted Mr. Yi who referred his installer who arrived punctually and was professional, courteous and and knowledgeable. He did the drapery repair expertly and I would use them again without hesitation.

Yi's picked up and delivered my chair in around 10 days time. They did a fabulous job. They are very easy to deal and they arrive at the exact time they say they are going to. I would recommend them to anyone that needs upholstery. In fact, I just stopped by there to get some throw pillows done in the same fabric to accent another piece of furniture, and I've found material that I love for another chair. So they will be getting my future business as well.

I am very happy with everything, I love the curtains, cornices, and pillows. Edward Kay provided me a rough estimate by email of the cost, because their estimate was reasonable, I followed up with them and then arranged with Bob Yi for the measurements and final estimate. From the time I ordered, it took less than three weeks to get everything back and installed. The quality of work is excellent, and the price was right. A very nice group of people work here.

It went quite well. Went in and asked about the work I wanted, and the fabric I needed. They explained what they'll do, and gave me an accurate estimate. I brought in the stools and cushions a couple days later, and they had it done in a week. Very professional and courteous. Very friendly as well.

We went to their establishment and looked through many many fabric books. It was not an at home consultation. I found them on Angie's List. They did a beautiful job. They were on time and we were definitely happy.

Excellent selection of fabrics. They have always bee very clear on the time required to do the job and I have been very pleased with the results. I have used them many times through the years.

They always meet their deadlines and always do good workmanship. They did a fabulous job on the leather chair. It was a really nice job.

I loved the huge selection of fabrics. The sales people were very friendly and helpful. The chairs look fine. There were some glitches; when I placed the order we agreed the stripes on the chair seats would run from side to side, the table runner would be unlined and I would get some leftover pieces to use for color samples in decorating my new dining room. When the fabric arrived, the Yi's salesman called me to confirm our understanding about the placement of the stripes. Several weeks went by. I finally called to ask when the chairs would be done. I was given a date about a week later and went to pick up my order. To my surprise the stripes were running front to back on the seats. I was told "that's the way this fabric should be placed." The salesman had to go in the back to dig out my leftover scraps of material. And when I got home and unwrapped the table runner-- it was lined. The white edge of the lining shows a little bit. Everything looks okay and I am not so dissatisfied that I want to ask for a correction. Plus I was told the supplier had only a small stock left of the fabric I selected, so I suspect a correction might not even be possible. But I chose Yi's because it had so many good reviews from Angie's List-- and I was surprised that things did not go as smoothly as expected. If I used them again I would be emphatic about getting better communication.

I brought pictures of the two chairs I needed to have re-upholstered, so they would know what was required. John Yi was very helpful in narrowing down possible fabric samples and then let me take the fabric sample books home. At the same time, I was given a written estimate (exclusive of fabric) for the cost of the two projects. After selecting the fabric, I arranged to have the chairs picked up and taken to the Yi's shop (all work done on site). The work took about 18 days. Yi's delivered the chairs to me. Both chairs look beautiful - in the same condition as they were when brand new. All of the wood had been repaired and refinished, and the fabric upholstery work was done perfectly -- no crooked or exposed seams or raw edges, no loose ends, etc.

I went to Yi's to look for fabric and was able to take several swatches home with me. I took the chair to the showroom with my husband to look at more fabric and found one in a book. They gave me a date that the chair would be done and it was delivered earlier than they promised. The workmanship was great and we are very happy.

An excellent job. The entire job was discussed over the phone. Pick up was within a few days and the job and delivery were completed within a few weeks and on schedule. No complaints and will use them again. The phone estimate and final price were right on target.

They were quick and did the work within a week and even had the chair back to me in a week It was amazingly good work. I thought it was relatively inexpensive and the quality was high.

We went to the store and were looking for microfiber material to upholster our couch. We got the material in the store, so it was 50% off the retail price. Pick-up and delivery went smoothly, staff are polite and punctual. What I liked most was that they didn't do sales talk, they gave us an estimate and provided advice when needed. I think price is fair and we are very happy with the service and work they have provided. Couch took three weeks to the completion and the couch looks great.

It looks wonderful and is now a comfortable and beautiful chair instead of a battered collection of ripped fabric and sprung springs. They did a great job of placing the pattern so that it matches from one place to another (not just matching seams, but so that it fits with the flow of the chair's different areas). I didn't compare prices from different places, since this was my grandparents' chair and much beloved. I didn't want to take any chances on second-rate work, and Yi's outstanding Angie's List ratings assured me that they would do a good job. Especially since it was a difficult job, I didn't think the price was bad. (It was higher than their initial estimate, because once they took off the fabric they discovered that it had originally been a different type of chair and had been converted. They called me to explain and make sure that was okay before they did the work. Also, I asked for an odd thing; to have the old fabric saved for me. They remembered and did so.
