Description of Work: Rick provided a most outstanding service. They came to get our dining chairs just before Christmas to have them re-upholstered with new foam and dacron wrap and they returned them back to us very quickly and in time for our Christmas Holiday celebrations. Terrific work and all the chairs look brand new as if they came straight from the factory. We plan to have them do more upholstery work for us in the future for our sofas and living room chairs.

Description of Work: Yi's did a fabulous job reupholstering an armchair for my living room. High quality work, completed in about 10 days, for a very reasonable price (around $350 - I provided my own fabric). Highly recommend!!

Description of Work: I took six dining seats to their shop together with the fabric. They provided labor and new seat foams. They did a very good job. However, my rating for the price is not based on any facts or comparative prices from other providers. It will be helpful if you could provide prices for services you cover. Once they were ready I went back to their shop and picked up the seats. Please note that I removed the seats from the chairs prior to the job and re-installed them myself once I brought them back home.

Description of Work: Although we did not go ahead with our project ( we purchased new outdoor furniture instead) I will have to say that I was very impressed with Yi's professionalism on the phone and throughout the entire process. Lee

Description of Work: We had 2 large wingback chairs upholstered. Their price was the best of any of the 3 I contacted for an estimate (all on the Angie's website). They were cordial and returned emails ASAP and did a wonderful job. They were very quick to turn around the work. I would give them an A+ in every category and would go to them the next time I have an upholstery job that needs to be done.

Description of Work: My dog had shredded a large armchair cushion. Yi's was able to use the small pillows of the same fabric to repair the larger (and more necessary) cushion. It looks great. They had it done quickly. The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with.

Description of Work: Yi's upholstered 2 loveseats. Absolutely top-notch work. Their turn-around is amazing. They were within a few days of promised date. Be very specific when you order. Be sure for example if you want arm covers that it is written on ticket. They left them off my order. I sew so I made them rather than return the furniture. They are very accomodating and will always fix anything that is not right. Mrs. Yi herself came out to check one piece on a 96" sofa where the wale of the velour went the wrong way. They took the sofa and returned it 3 days later all fixed. I love these people. I have had 9 pieces upholstered by them. A wonderful family full of experts and hard workers.

Description of Work: We had two very old chairs (over 100 years old) that had been in my husband's grandmother's house. They were in really rough shape, and he is very sentimentally attached to them. Our decorator recommended a fabric, which Yi's carried, but which was very expensive. They had no problem with my buying the fabric from another source and bringing it in. They advised me on exactly how much to get given the width and repeats of the pattern. They completely reconstructed the chairs, refinished wood where needed, consulted with us on the best filler/stuffing for the back and cushions, and did a superb job on the upholstery. These chairs are now good for another 100 years - at least! Their shop is a bit of a drive for us, and is a no-nonsense kind of place. No glamorous showroom. They put their energies into producing the best work for the best price. We have used them for many years, and will always return when we have upholstery needs.

Description of Work: Yi's reupholstered 6 antique chairs. They respected the integrity of the chairs -- and redid the webbing on the seat frame, kept the original horsehair construction. The upholstery was done in a microfiber leather -- really beautiful, it is hard for me, as a former restorer of leather bound books, to tell the difference. The price of this material was very reasonable. I had very high standards for the workmanship and they certainly met or exceeded my expectations. Nice family run business -- I would highly recommend it. The estimate was near or less than several others.
