My interaction with Tievy Electric Company was perfect from the pleasant, courteous conversation with Lori the receptionist as well as my interaction with Chris Norris the electrician and my subsequent conversation with the owner of Tievy Electric Company, Ron who I called to compliment on the excellent work his company had provided. The work completed was professional and quite reasonable. I have finally found an honest, reliable "go to" company for all of my future electrical needs. Thank you, Ron Tievy and staff. R. (ROB) C. Tievy did the electric on our new home about 3 years ago. It has never been finished and I have to turn the light off in my bathroom to blow dry my hair or I will blow a fuse. I can't toast 4 pieces of toast without blowing a fuse in my kitchen. I have had it. Not to mention the $10,000 it cost us to defend ourselves in court for false allegations from one of Tievy''s employees who, acvprfing to our attorney, had drug issues and seveal assault charges on file. So nice to send someone like that to our home where we have 3 little girls. I hoped Tievy would do the right thing after all of the charges were dropped (2.5 :years ago approx) for my husband because they were unfounded, but crickets. Did I mention that we paid Tievy in full before he completed the project? Which he never did. Be very careful before hiring this company and beware of who he sends to enter your house. Wish we had known.

They were courteous and friendly and the rates were very reasonable. The technician who came was excellent. The staff was just so friendly and helpful and they seemed like they were really into their jobs. The technician was efficient and was very willing to help for everything.

Great work considering the complexity of what they had to isolate and trace. Extremely professional and would highly recommend them to others.

Mr Tievy was intially recommended by our neighbor, but I still checked reviews on Angie's list. I was delighted to see the wonderful reviews and immediately called for an estimate. Mr. Tievy was very prompt and personable. At that time we had not yet bought a generator. Mr. Tievy gave us great information and suggestions regarding the type and size generator to purchase for our house. On the date of the installation, the installer was prompt and quick. He showed me how everything worked and made certain that I was very clear on how to hook up the generator and cycle the breakers in the event of power outage. We were so pleased that we hired them again to do other electrical work in our home.

We had had an evaluation of our electrical system done and been told that our incoming line was not up to code and our circuit breaker box was too small to hold any more lines. Tievey had been recommended by a friend who had used the company several times in the past. We called, and Ron Tievey came within a day to give us an estimate (which arrived by e-mail a couple of days later). He confirmed what the evaluator had said (the evaluation was done by Michael and Sons) and gave us a thorough explanation of what needed to be done as well as a ball park estimate. His explanation was corroborated by another contractor whom we called for a third bid. Tievey's bid was the lowest of three we received. Once we accepted the contract Tievey scheduled the work within a week. The technicians were neat, efficient, and very polite.They left everything clean and replaced furniture that had to be moved to reach the circuit breaker box. Tievey arranged for the DC inspector to come a couple of days after the work was finished. The inspector refused to open the electric panel (he carried no tools with him), which he said he had to see, and said that the wiring for our solar panels needed to be in a different place on the box. Tievey responded immediately arranging to come back and make the modification and open the box at a time when the inspector could also return. I'm not sure why the solar panels were not hooked to the right circuit breaker in the first place -- but there was nothing harmful about where they were installed and the unwillingness to open the panel was the inspector's fault, not Tievey's. Throughout the process we were very impressed with Tievey's service and professionalism. We would definitely recommend them and use them again if we needed electrical work done.

I would highly recommend them. They were prompt, courteous and knowledgeable.

Fixed some issues but not all. A number of outlets that were supposed to be fixed were not. I recommend close supervision and checking closely to make sure work done, something I regret not doing.

Their office staff was pleasant and efficient. The technician called to say that he was on his way and arrived when they said he would. The new circuit installation and wiring was done very neatly. The technician also corrected a wiring problem in a light fixture on the new ciricuit.

We needed a variety of small electrical jobs preparatory to moving. The electrician quickly repaired the wiring in a chandelier, and repaired and replaced some receptacles that were not working. We have used Tievy for about 10 years, or more, for all our electrical work. They have installed shower lights and bathroom fans, installed electrical heaters in our basement, and did a heavy up. We have always been satisfied with their service. They are pleasant, attentive, arrive on time, competent, and responsible for following up their work.

They were recommended to me to replace the fan, and he did some extra work while he was in my attic as well.

They do good work. They have done a few jobs for me. I like working with them.

They seem honest. They are efficient and their prices are fair and the quality of the work is good. They are fast as well.

He did an okay job. I think they need to come back and fix it because when we flip the switch that is supposed to be only for our central air, things in the back of the house go out too.

I spent around $3300 on that work. They were the most personable and the clearest in terms of what they could do and I felt at ease talking to the person. They definitely sounded like they knew what they were doing and how they would proceed with the work and gave me design advice. The people who came out were pretty professional.

Called to schedule a service call for a minor bit of electrical work, converting a 240v outlet into a 120v. My father is a retired electrician, so it was something I could have done with a little guidance, but it required going into the circuit breaker box, and I just felt better paying someone to do that. Mark was the electrician. I called the office the morning of the scheduled service call to get an exact time. Originally, it was scheduled for sometime after noon. The technician Mark called me back and asked if it was ok to come earlier, and he did. He was friendly, and courteous. Got to work right away. I asked him if he could put a simple pull-chain light fixture in the same closet as the outlet he was working on. The drywall was already open so it was easy to access the wiring and he did both items in under 1 hour.

As stated above, the work was performed perfectly and in a timely fashion. Could not be more satisfied.

This was a tricky job, because they didn't have easy access for installing the recessed lights in our ceiling (that is, they had to work in a confined crawl space). But they were professional, had respect for our house, and cleaned up after themselves. I may need to have more electrical work done soon, and I will probably use them again.

Everything went smoothly. Electrician arrived on time, was very polite and professional, got work done in 4 hours.

The first time we called they were responsive and showed up exactly on time. We needed and estimate. We were told the estimate would be ready in 3 days and they never got back to us. After repeated calls, we got an estimate and had the work performed. Tievy was again right on time to do the work and the cost was slightly below the estimate. They were very tidy and polite. Just not happy with the fact that their office did not respond to us in a timely manner.

The reconnection work went well...uneventful. The work was done competently, professionally and promptly.

When they grounded the outlets they used boxes that sit off of the wall instead of being flush with the plate. The circuit breaker box and the work is shabby. The work was not done as specified and they did not do what I wanted - which was to upgrade to system to avoid a fire. They didn't respond to my request to make adjustments or to fix things they were wrong. When I requested fixes they became rude and the owner was very rude. They basically started ignoring me after I paid them. I would not recommend them.

Friendly, professional and on time.

They did a good job with the electrical, but I thought their prices were very high. They charged me five times what the actual cost was for supplies.

Mark was very professional and very efficient. He told me what he was doing and performed the work with a minimum of disruption and mess. He even patched the holes he made in the wall.
