This company was recommended by the sellers of our home, who saw a neighbor's house after Select Floors refinished their floors. From beginning to end, Select Floors did a fantastic job. We met with Marcus Coleman to get an estimate, and he was very thorough in explaining to us the process, our options for stains, and how to care for the floors after they were refinished. He also provided a sheaf of paperwork, including their licensing information. Mr. Coleman was patient in helping us select a stain color and was willing to demo a 50/50 mix of two different stains for us. It took them about a week to complete the job, and when they were done, the floors looked brand new. I could not recommend this company more highly.

The owner, Gene Vegarra, is exceedingly personable and knowledgeable and totally committed to you as a customer. The quality of work provided by Freddy and Juan was flawless. The project was somewhat complex but it was done quickly, cleanly and to the highest standard. The cost was more than reasonable. This was the fourth floor project that we have entrusted to Gene, Freddy and Juan. If there were a "plus" to add to the ratings we have have added them for all the projects. Their work is -- no less than the best!

A very unassuming place of business, so value and costs seem truly related to the flooring selected. Owners were personally involved and I learned much about different flooring and choices. There was a match needed for the family room which was red oak, but the key was matching and working with the dining room flooring that was white oak. All flooring was laid in a day with great expertise, sequenced into a major ground floor renovation. Staining and finishing took another day later on, when it was time to paint. Initial staining left an unexpected pool with need to re-do the staining which was done so that I could not see the difference between old and new floors, or where there had been a small 'valley' that allowed the initial stain to pool slightly. Overall, Select Floors is a very professional and knowledgeable company that provides excellent value with high quality workmanship.

Installation went very well. Installers were employees; supervised by the boss himself. They were punctual, clean, and did not make a mess. I would suggest them to anyone looking for a permanent installation.

It basically went fine. I would recommend them. We called them, we set an appointment, and they showed up on time. They were very professional.

After searching and researching numerous wood floor companies, I found Select Floors through a friends' recommendation. Gene is extremely professional and manages all aspects of the project. He is extremely responsive and our experience was very positive. I had hoped for a better result for the door but the floors and other wood work were very well done.

Their representative came to our home, gave us an exact estimate and thorough description of what would be done. We accepted that proposal and they scheduled an installation at a mutuallyconvenient time. They scheduled two days but were able to complete it in one which was a great benefit to us. The people who did the work were polite, personable and very efficient and thoughtful. One of the best features of this company is that they have their own installers and do not and quot;farm outand quot; the work. We were very pleased and would recommend them to anyone anytime!

They started work on a Monday when I met with one of the co-owners, Marcus, to do a final walkthrough before they started. Everyone was very punctual and professional and after the walkthrough I left them the key and headed for work. Monday night I returned to check on the progress and was NOT happy with what I was seeing regarding the border. I called Marcus at 7 p.m. to voice my concerns and he returned my call not 5 minutes later (long after working hours) and agreed to come by my house the next morning to take a look himself. He showed up bright and early and agreed with me on what was going on with the border - which he then communicated to his workers. Tuesday night I stopped by again and was completely blown away - it was exactly what I wanted! It did end up taking them a half day longer to complete than originally scheduled, but I didn't mind much since they were using water based sealant (meaning less stink) and I was still able to sleep at the house the last night. The outcome was amazing. The floors are gorgeous and the border is exactly what I was hoping for! So despite their prices being a bit higher than the competition - you get what you pay for! The results of their work is outstanding and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family!

Very nice workmanship. They completed the project quickly and were easy to work with. They floors look great!

We used select floors to install flooring and repair floors as we put an addition on our house. They are very professional, and very responsive. Originally, the floor refinishing work was very good, but on one floor it's peeled up very badly. I believe they will come out to fix it. I have to contact them-- solely on me not them. They are professional and nice to work with. My only gripe is that they seemed to have rushed my floor install, the areas where they installed new h/w floors, sometimes the gap was inconsistent because they used a manual stapler instead of a power stapler. The areas where they repaired the floor and installed new wood (where there used to be a wall), they matched the wood perfectly. I can not tell where the old gaps are even now! I obtained an estimate from them recently, they were almost $1300 more than I obtained from two others on Angies list.

They were recommended by a friend. They gave me a very good design. They were very professional as well. He also did a picture frame hardwood floor around the fireplace and replaced shoe molding. Overall, the room looks great!

Select Floors sanded and refinished both the first and second floors of our fixer-upper, about 800 square feet total. The original, red oak flooring was in very poor shape in a few areas, but they were able to successfully repair all damage and bring the floor back to its original beauty within budget and within the agreed to timeline. During the "site showing" the rep. noticed several things I didn't, such as replaced stair boards that were not red oak, but rather fir, stained a similar color, replaced since the floor was originally put down. He noticed these sorts of seemingly minor, but ultimately quite important, details immediately. Also, the crew not only did a great job, they also kept the job site pretty immaculate. There was little to no dust/debris when they were finished. I highly recommend this firm and will use them when we get to our basement.

I think they could do better in communication but the work quality was OK. On the contract they agreed to remove existing tiles but they did not remove them fully without telling me. There is a little gap in the floor, just seems to be not so good quality of work.

This company is not for hardwood-floor beginners. We had some very basic questions about flooring. While the person in the showroom was moderately helpful in answering questions, we felt that the customer service representative who eventually came to the home to provide a detailed estimate was rude and condescending. He seemed impatient with our simple questions. After a few frustrating minutes, we asked him to leave. We will choose another company.

Our Select Floors contact person, Ricardo, was consistently timely, polite, and helpful. His team did a beautiful job laying the new floors and refinishing the old ones. They completed the job in the estimated time, worked well with other contractors who were also in the house, and were generally excellent.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB UNDER DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES. IT TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN THEY HAD ESTIMATED, BUT THEY STUCK TO THE CONTRACT PRICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.
