Mike's Locksmith

I would hire Mike's again. My only compliant, and reason for giving B on Professionalism, is that he did not clean up the sawdust after installing the locks. I asked and he said his vacuum was broken but typically clean-up is included.

I called, expecting an appointment within the week. He arrived that night at 7 pm, ready to go. The door apparatus was fairly complicated (fancy). He did exactly what was needed.

They called very soon after I made a request on Angie's List, and set up and appointment the same day. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He did a great job, and I will certainly use Mike's Locksmith again if the need arises.

He was pleasant and professional, knowledgeable and the replacement lock and door handle work perfectly. It was a freezing cold day and not an easy job as the replacement set had to be an adjustable one to fit our door. He did a super job.

Mike responded promptly to the request for a quote and showed up promptly on time. He got right to work and finished the job in less than 15 minutes. Offered evening and weekend hours at no extra charge. Would definitely use him again if the need presents itself.

Mike originally came to my condo to re-key or replace my locks because I lost my house key. After he had come to my condo but before doing the job, I decided to cancel the service. However, I had shown him how my lock was sticking and he came back fixed it for free.

Needed to replace 1 deadbolt and re-key 3 lock cylinders. I scheduled the appointment with Mike. He arrived early and quickly got to work. Mike answered all my questions in a clear and understandable manner. The entire process was easy and I think the cost was very fair. I will definitely use Mike?s Locksmith again in the future.

Mike was very professional, punctual and did an excellent job. Our front door was stuck in a locked position and would not budge. I had bought a new lockset (handset and deadbolt) so Mike had to first remove the old set to open the door, and then install the new equipment. The door opens, closes and locks much better than before everything broke! The price was right, I would go with this provider again.

He had the correct latch and was done within 20 minutes of arriving.

Excellent. Vendor made the extra effort to find a compatible dead bolt lock (drove to Home Depot to purchase) so that no modifications were needed to the door. He re-keyed the lock so I could use the same key that also works on other doors.

Mike was very professional and knowledgeable about locks and safety. He was responsive when I called and when he was going to be late for our appointment he called to say so (he was only 15 minutes late). He was very thorough in his work. One of the locks he installed was on a rather old door and frame. He was not satisfied with the way the door was closing (it needed an extra nudge), Mike insisted that the door should close without the extra effort and took the time to adjust the locking mechanisms to ensure it did just that. I was very pleased with the service. My only complaint was that Mike did not clean up after himself, leaving wood shavings the the old locks behind. The clean up was minimal and I am sure if I had asked he to do it he would have.

He came out immediately (and I believe it was a Sunday). Could not fix it....new part needed. He saved us several hundred dollars because he suggested we get in touch with the manufacturer, and they did replace it for free. No charge at all until the piece was finally here and e was able to install it ! Very responsive, professional, and we felt reasonably priced !

While traveling out of state, my two sons were rotating house sitting/pet sitting and the deadbolt (which we had trouble with in the past) completely jammed up and couldn't be opened. With pets in the house, this was a situation that needed immediate attention. I got the call from the house, opened Angie's List on my iPad and found Mike's Locksmith.....and was grateful to see his high ratings for immediate responsiveness. I called explained the issue, gave him my sons phone number and he called and worked out the logistics with him. Within 2-3 hours of the initial lock out the situation was rectified and the pets where taken care of and feed on time. (If you've ever seen the damage a 14yr old mad cat is capable of when it doesn't get feed on time you'd understand) We were pleased with the fast turn around on opening the house and the before agreed upon price. However, I did feel that the re-keying of the jammed deadbolt was a little pricey especially after being told the make and model was known for this issue and would ultimately jam again....I do hate throwing good money after bad. Had I been on site, I would have chosen to replace the deadbolt then. That said, overall the service was excellent and I will definitely use this provided again!

Mike did a great job! He responded promptly to my initial e mail, was able to schedule on the day when my husband was teleworking, arrived promptly, was friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with a high quality latch and deadbolt set. It looks great!

He was very good. It was excellent. I like the quality of the lock and his explanation.

My husband and I locked ourselves out of our house. We called Mike and he arrived at our house within 15-20 minutes. We decided to unlock the car to get into the garage since we likely had to damage the lock to get into the house. It took about 20 minutes in total, but we got into the car, opened the garage, and he got into the house through out garage entry door. He was great and very helpful.

Mike was early so that was good. He was friendly and professional. He was able to change the lock quickly and when he saw that the door wasn't installed properly, he fixed it.

Mike arrived when promised; gracious and friendly; clearly explained options and process completely; worked quickly and efficiently; and reviewed all work when completed. Encouraged me to call later if I have any questions or problems.

Mike was very professional, responded quickly and showed up at the appointed time. He explained everything and used the most cost effective method to get me back in the house. He was able to open the door on the first try! I would gladly recommend him.

Mike came out within 20 minutes of my call. He explained all of my lock options, After selecting two mid-range locks. He set to work and provided locks that meet fire code and are more secure than my previous system. It took about two hours. He is very thorough. I will use him again,

Mike arrived at my house on time. I already purchased two new deadbolt locks before but they are wrong ones. Mike suggested to use new deadbolt locks from his stock instead of buying a new one. He also offered me a discount for total cost - not believable but fairly reasonable discount. He worked fast but checked everything to make sure the locks were installed properly and working perfectly. It's a good experience working with Mike.
